Both the alcohol and the Morphine can cause depression of the central nervous system, which can create trouble breathing, as well as dangerously lowered heart rate and blood pressure. Fetanyl is a great pain medication but it is used primarily for major pain: i.e. IV's or post op surgical pain pump med (if morphine or dilaudid does not work) and/ or to get extremely acute pain under control. Cancer patients use the Fetanyl lollipops for break thru pain and it is one of those medications that I am glad to know is out there but I would avoid using it because for those of us with chronic pain that take meds daily for years and have built up a tolerance to pain meds. We need to have something that offers relief if pain escalates or if major surgery is needed. It can be difficult to get pain relief if you find should develop pain that is a level 7 or higher that is unrelenting. Morphine 30 sulfate er made by Mylan does not help relieve pain does anyone else have that problem ## I too am finding morphine sulphate ER manufactured by Mylan is not as effective. Almost like going through early withdrawal symptoms, for example, morphine usually paralyzes intestinal movement and causes constipation. I am having cramping and looser stools. I question the correct amount contained in the tablets. ## Sorry to hear about your recent experiences. I went on holiday and forgot my oralmorph, I did not take it for 2 days and felt so ill, I had sweats and aching, could not sleep, I was hot then cold, we drove home to get my oralmorph and I started taking it again but since then I have been left with severe dizziness, is this normal because I feel so ill with the dizzy feeling x ## Hello, Kim! I have spinal stenosis, sciatica, neurapathy and degeneration in my lumbar area where 3 discs are involved and leg and foot pain along with the chronic back pain. I suffer terriby. I have found a large quanity of VERY small round light green pills without any imprint. They do have a line on one side. These have to be old pills as they were my grandmother's. She had been ill and has passed. Does anyone know what these might be? ## I'm sorry, but if there is no imprint, it is going to be difficult to determine what they may contain, especially if they are older tablets. I have been taking 30mg of oxycodone 4 times a day for two years for my broken back. Ive taken small doses of opiods before,and one 15mg abg, but not on a regular basis. I was just wondering how long tye effects will last, amd when it is safe to drink.
