Hello, Marie! How are you feeling?

Yes, it is very dangerous to do so. Both the alcohol and the Morphine can cause depression of the central nervous system, which can create trouble breathing, as well as dangerously lowered heart rate and blood pressure.

Additionally, you shouldn't be cutting these tablets, because they are time released, so you may inadvertently get too much of the Morphine, at once.

Is the prescribing doctor aware of your alcohol problem?

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
