what is a hot colored pink pill with n 30 on it ## I had these too. They are a morphine 30 sr out of canada. Poison control confirmed it was an opiod. I take opiates daily and i can vouch that it is legit opiate. ## I had these too. It's morphine 30 sr out of canada. Confirmed by poison control as a opiod. Felt like popping 3 hydro 10s if you chew it enough to break time release wax ## I looked N looked N nothing on em at all ## The Canadian Morphine tablets with this marking are violet, not hot pink. The FDA classifies Morphine as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. So far, I've been unable to find an identification for this tablet, however, I'll keep...

I have a urine test tomorrow I need morphine in my system, but I ran out and someone gave me two fentanyl 50 mg patches. Will I fail and test for other drugs? Or will it metabolize into morphine sulfate? ## It really depends on the type of test they do, as per FDA guidelines, there are tests that can be done to determine exactly what medication you took. In most cases, if you fail a test, they send it out to be double checked and that really shows the precise details. The NIH warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Additionally, there is no 50mgs Fentanyl. So, do you have any idea what this person gave you?

My mom has chronic pain due to her low back. Has been on Morphine 15 mg SR for at least 15 years also Percocet 5mg for break thru pain. Last appt. with MD we explained that 15 mg was not covering her pain. I asked to bump her up to 20 mg (I am an RN) but was told that is not how it goes and was given a RX for Morphine 30 mg q 12 hours. She was on q 12 hours prior. Mom is sleeping 90 percent of the time. Has no real need for Percs anymore. Wondering if this sleeping all the time after getting adjusted to dose soon. Thank You for helping me. She is questioning if it is wort it since she has NO quality of life anymore because she is sleeping so much. Thank You for you insight. ## Morphine is actually notorious for causing excessive drowsiness in some people that take it, there are quite a ...

i took one 15 mg. morphine sulfate IR pill, and wonder how long it would show up in a urine test. thank you. ## Hi featherjack, Morphine can be detected in your urine for up to 3-4 days after your last dose. However if you have a prescription for this drug, then you don't have to worry about it showing up. Just present the lab or whomever it concerns with a copy of the prescription for verification. I hope this helps! ## Morphine is a narcotic opiate and most medications in this class are detectable for approximately 4 to 5 days, after last dosing. Learn more Morphine details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I am prescribed percocet anyways, so is the ms contin going to make any difference just taking a half of a 30 mg pill if I were to be urine tested? ## yes its no...

I am sure i am not the only patient being treated for chronic pain, and have been for 14 plus years, i have been on many different meds over the years, now morphene sulphate er, i was on 100mg x 3 a day, now with the new cdc guidelines i am being cut back, or eventually cut off of all pain meds. What are the cdc plans as far as patients like myself once opiate pain meds are no longer being given to me or others for treament?? I have done pt, injections, tens units, nerve meds, anti depressants, ect....none of these alternatives worked in the past, so what does the future hold, beides a poor quality of life if i am forced to live with chronic pain, i can say honestly, life was not fun before my doctors got a grasp on what worked for my pain and i dread feeling like i did before......any ...

Does this medicine cause constipation / piles?? Taking these tablets from 7-8 days and now I have constipation. Is it due to the side effect of this medicine? ## sili - I assume you are referring to the drug Morphine, which is an opiate pain reliever. If I am correct, then yes, constipation is a side effect of this and other drugs in the opioid class. " Common side effects include drowsiness, vomiting, and constipation... Side-effects of nausea and constipation are rarely severe enough to warrant stopping treatment... Like loperamide and other opioids, morphine acts on the myenteric plexus in the intestinal tract, reducing gut motility, causing constipation. The gastrointestinal effects of morphine are mediated primarily by µ-opioid receptors in the bowel. By inhibiting gastric...

What happens when someone decides to quit taking Morphine? What are signs to watch for? ## Since this is an opioid medication, they are known to cause withdrawal symptoms after consistent use. If you see the Morphine Details page under "Dependence and withdrawal", it states: "Stage I, 6 to 14 hours after last dose: Drug craving, anxiety, irritability, perspiration, and mild to moderate dysphoria... Stage II, 14 to 18 hours after last dose: Yawning, heavy perspiration, mild depression, lacrimation, crying, headaches, runny nose, dysphoria, also intensification of the above symptoms, "yen sleep" (a waking trance-like state) Stage III, 16 to 24 hours after last dose: Rhinorrhea (runny nose) and increase in other of the above, dilated pupils, goose bumps (a purported ori...

I am trying to decrease the pain meds I am taking. I was taking one 30mg tab twice daily. Recently I forgot and skipped a dose felt fine, I realized it had a half life but I was ok. So I've been at that dose for three day s and I'm still ok. Should I continue with 30mg once a day or should I cut one in half and take it twice a day. I thought I read that ER pills should not be cut. Is this true. Thank you ## That is correct, it is not safe to cut time released tablets, that could result in your getting too much medication, at once, and it could result in an overdose. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. However, you can speak to your doctor about tap...

I am allergic to oxycodone and morphine. Could Indomethacin be a better alternative and will I have the same results since I know I am not allergic to this? ## The FDA classifies Indomethacin as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it is not as potent as opiates, but it is effective at helping with pain in some people that take it. Its typical side effects may possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding. Have you tried taking it, yet? If so, is it helping?

please help me find out how long it will take for 1 30 milligram morphine to get out of my system I never take them ## Try TONS of cranberry juice and also TONS of purified water. That does help a lot. Take vitamin C as much as reputable site like Web MD, says is SAFE! Also, the day of the test wake up early (or if you are full of drugs stay up all night, force juices, acidic ones work well! and urinate as often as you possibly can! If you drink Green Tea it increases your urinary output. I have heard that 1/3 cup of vinegar about 3 hours before the test produces good results. That I cannot attest to BUT I imagine drinking 1/3 cup vinegar would actually take the full 3 hours! I wish you all the best and I pray this gets to you in time. ## Three days ## Three or four sets of vitiman c. /...

I am taking a prescribed medication of oxycodone 15mg IMM rel but i work and i can't take them while working and i have an appointment the next morning after getting off work to see the dr for a refill on my medication so i need to know when i need to take the medication to make sure it shows in my system cos i haven't been in some time and i only have half of one left. I have to do a drug urine test to have it show up. ## What type of test does the doctor use? Taking it within a few hours of the test can make certain it's detected, but if they also check the levels of it, you can still fail the test. Many pain management physicians don't just look for the presence of the medication, but also look at the levels of it that are present in your body. If you are prescribed a...

hi, I take 15mg sulf ER morphine. my doctor prescribes it as 1 table every 12 hrs. is there any way she can prescribe it to be taken 3 x a day .? I cant take oxcycode there is no way. and Im always out of my meds before my next appointment 3-4 days before . ## Hello, Kelly! How are you? Under the new directives from the DEA, probably not. However, you could speak to her about adding a regular release Morphine as a breakthrough medication to help get better control of your pain. Whether or not she does is up to her, though. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have been taking morphine 60mg er for 5 yrs. Will buprenorphine be able to handle my neuropothy because 180mg of morphine & 12mg Dilaudid doesn't touch the pain I'm in? I'm no addict I feel no euphoria from these drugs. I hate taking them. I'm just scared buprenorphine wont be able to touch my pain I'm ready to cut my feet off its like walking on burning coal 24/7/365. Any info would be very helpful. Thanks ## For me dilaudid was ( I'm not taking now) only thing that gave me any quality of life and could still work with my nerve pain, but everyone is different, they have bucca films now that supposedly is strong enough to help with cancer pain, problem for me was I had other seriously legitimate and proven painful things happen and it was not good I had bee...

My doctor put me on the morphine to try to wean me down from taking 4 percocets to 3. I took my first morphine at midnight - and I still feel pretty good 10 hours later. My question is, how is the morphine released into my blood stream? i.e. do I feel relief immediately - or 45 mins later and then every 1/2 hour or so more is released? Maybe this benefit of 10 to 12 hours relief will dissipate over the next few days to lasting only 5-6 hours? I meant to preface this by saying I'm taking the percocets for a laminectomy fail. ## Since it is a time released medication, it is generally released by absorbing some of your stomach acid, or other fluids you drink. Think of it like a sponge that is very gradually absorbing fluids from one spot, and as it is expanding it's forcing the med...

I accidentally took 30 morphine sulfar er a couple years ago. I just pulled the same bone headed move. I think. I don't normally feel anything other than relief. I think I might have accidentally put 2 in my pill box for 1 day cuz I'm feeling something which I don't normally feel. Should I be concerned? ## What exactly are you feeling? Can you please post back and be more specific? Typically, doubling up would result in your experiencing more side effects, which may include depression of the central nervous system, dizziness, drowsiness, and constipation. Did you experience any adverse effects?

I have had occassional reactions to Morphine shots in ER (severe nausea/vomiting, hallucinations.) And began to think I was allergic or sensitive to it. When hospitalized for severe back pain and inability to sit up or walk, I was put on a pain pump of dilaudid and sent home on the pump. I had never heard of dilaudid before but lost my appetite and anything I ate, threw it up. In 6 weeks I lost 23 lbs, just lying in bed. I became weaker and weaker and began to think I was going to die. I had told the home nurse on several visits what was happening and she just said it was a side effect. Finally a male nurse did my home visit and when I told him, he said he needed to call the Dr., who recommended going to ER and having my electrolytes checked. While there I learned it was a drivitive of,...

What is the absolute best way to take the purple 30mg Morphine, sustained release, and get it into my body for immediate reaction? Not interested in injecting them. What to do ? Thank you for any help. ## Is this a capsule that you can empty or just a solid pill? I would personally crush or empty the pill or capsule into water if I was trying to get it in my system quicker. Not sure if this would even make a difference though if you are taking it on a full stomach. If you want it to absorb quicker (by normal means of ingesting it) take it near an empty stomach or with a smaller portion of food than you would normally do with. Hope this helps! ## Hi Brad, My son is a medical rep. and recently re-educate me about the outer coating on the slow release oxycontin. Previously I had thought it...

I took approximately 100mg of morphine under my tongue. Experienced chills and what felt like a fever (felt cold but should have been warm). Should I try vomiting? It has been some time since I've taken the morphine and feeling particularly light headed and sort of shakes with especially hot head/face. Breathing feels somewhat depreciated with approx 15 breaths per minute (judged by breathing in and out). I'm conscious but particularly woozy. What should I do? ## Praying you are well. You truly should have gone to the ER. I will continue praying for your continued wellness!! ????

I ran out of percocet 10mg for breakthrough pain due to insurance problems. The soonest I can get a refill will be in 2 days. I take Morphine Sulfate ER 30mg every 12 hours. My question is, how much additional morphine could I take over the next 2 days to compensate for not having the percocet for breakthrough pain. I sufer from chronic pain. ## Hello, Bob! How are you? How many Percocet do you take daily? It would best not to change your dose of Morphine, with your doctor's approval. However, without knowing your total dose of Percocet, I can't give you even a basic comparison to help. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipati...
