Metoprolol Withdrawal (Page 54)

i've been taking metoprolol for several years as partial treatment for high blood pressure. through diet and exercise, i've lowered my BP to the point my doctor says drop the metoprolol.

i did, 3 days ago, and i'm soooo tired, dizzy, irritable, and my vision is blurred.

is this withdrawal? how long will it last?

i remember starting this medication was terrible to get used to. it appears that stopping it is just as bad.

Head is clear but still getting the pounding heart and does anyone else have tremors or shakes? Hope you all are doing well

Have some labs to go do tomorrow for to check blood flow to kidneys. And also have blood work to check for hyperthyroidism. But i have had bad anxiety which makes my chest and back hurt. But i think its because i quit taking l theanine . I want to clear up on its own if possible

I have tremors and shakes with the anxiety sometimes but for some reason only in the mornings CJJ88. Anxiety displays alot of different physical symptoms and thats one i get alot of chest discomfort Lauren

JR make sure you get complete thyroid panel as well as T4 T3 and free level tests. Still may show nothing since it's only a quick snapshot.
Will be interested to see how the tincture helps you.

Yea they are checking for t3/t4 levels . I can't to see how it works too just waiting for it to arrive

UPS just brought my thyroid compound. I just took not quite a half a dropper. Fingers crossed!!!!

If you have an Rx drug plan you canary PROTONIX [pantoprazole]. tS the only that I know of thats still Rx only. Dosage usually is 40mg daily. sp,times 80mg PRN. It does n 20- and 40mg caused tablets.

Was that about 30 drops Sandra? 20 makes me pretty sleepy, I take a larger dose of 30 before bed when it doesn't matter. 15 seems to be about all I can tolerate for daytime use. I take it every 8 hrs.

Hoping I develop better tolerance as I take it, I have 5.5 weeks left before weaning off of it to see what happens....

I think it was more like 20. I am getting heavy chest and slight more dizziness than usual and heavy head. Didnt feel that way before taking it. Good grief...dont tell me I cant tolerate this either!

Start with lower dose, I started with 5-6 drops every 5-6 hrs.
