I don't do methamphetamine but I've have had a head cold that I've been taking Sudafed for. Can this cause a false positive for methamphetamine? ## Will you fail for methamphetamine if you have only taken Sudafed otc? ## I took a drug test for job n failed for amphithmines n I have not used any of that stuff i do take klonopin n she said I didn't rest positive for it I even tried to show her my prescription she sent me to big lab for a 12 panel rest I did take a caffeine pill n 2 days ago I took 2 sudophed tabs how can this be i have never failed before please explain thanks so much.

I go to a doctor and I have on many occasions had a false positives for methamphetamines but when they send it to the lab it's never really in my system.. I am very confused as I haven't used drugs in 5yrs. I am a recovering addict.. I take several medicines. I take omeprazol 40mg, ranitidine 300mg, citalopram hbr 20mg, hydroxyzine hcl 10mg, lisinopril 5mg and suboxone 8mg. I have even stopped drinking red bull because I thought that was the problem.. I am at a loss for words. I do not understand how or why I could have so many false positives but every time they send it to the lab it's never really there... Questions to ask a lab tech: I have a kidney disease. Is it possible that this is the reason why my urine test keeps coming back positive for methamphetamine? If so, why is this? My boyfriend took Methamphetamine on Tuesday night. About 10 to 15 hits. Will this show up in a urine test on Thursday Evening? I just had a mouth swab drug test done for employment and the one who performed the test said it's "inconclusive" and they have to send it off to the lab... She then handed me a copy... Being naive to this, I thought that the circled ones were the ones they were testing, but no, these are the ones I presumed to be positive for: Amphetamines, Methamphetamine, Opiates, PCP, Cocaine... I am on opiates but the other stuff "NO WAY!". I don't even know what they look like. Cocaine I will admit I tried once back in High School which is over 20 years ago... I was upset. My husband said you haven't done any off those so u have nothing to worry about... I told him but with something like this you're guilty and you feel like you have to prove your innocence.

I've taken methamphetamine for 23 years. I'm scheduled for a hernia repair surgery. Went in for pre op testing and had to do lab work. Got a call the next day. Was told that lab came back positive for methamphetamine. They told me that on the day of surgery if positive surgery will be canceled. Can they do that? ## Hmmmmm. I would like to know, how long does it take until a small amount of methamphetamine is detectable through urine? I am 200 lbs and around 5'6 ## I know this is an old post. But just in case you still need the help for yourself or anyone else. It all depends on what you consider a small amount and which type of urine test. They have multiple types of panels. With your given weight from what I have researched, it takes longer than average to get out of the system due to being stored in the fat cells. Same as if you are eating greasy or fatty foods. I got kicked out of pain management in Tennessee for a dirty UA. They said I had methamphetamine in my system which is untrue, I have only done the stuff once about 10 yrs ago. My question is how long before this is off my record and I can go to another clinic in TN? I did like a 15cc of methamphetamine on a Monday about 2:30pm and then a little 10cc of methamphetamine on Tuesday about 3:00am and I have a drug test wed morning around 9:00am and I got to pass all together.
