I've been going to a methadone clinic for 5 yrs. now I've been clean and really trying hard to keep sober every single day and strong for my four kids. I am now a nurse and start my emt/paramedics class Jan. I'm so excited. Anyway Sunday morning I went to the hospital with a urinary tract infection and got antibiotics. I took my first antibiotics and when I went to take the second one for that day it was 5 pm and I got it out, I was talking to another nurse and noticed after I swallowed it, it was my 7yr old vyvanse 30 ml, so I freaked out crying and googled what was in vyvanse. It says amphetamine. I go wednesday to take my urine. So wednesday morning I took an at home drug test and it came up negative. (slowly) I went ahead and took the urine. Been taking 100 mg. liquid methadone a day for about 5 yrs. (at a clinic)Recently was told I had been testing neg. for Methadone (oral swab test) for multiple mos.(8 I think) and got my 5 take home privileges revoked! Anyone know how I could test negative for something I take a hefty (100 mg) dose of each day???? i have been taking methadone for awhile, now suddenly the pharmacy will not carry it, but they will carry the much more expensive pain killers....why is this happening? is it all about the money again? This is killing me. my rx payments went from %54 to $450. I cannot afford this ## I'm sorry, but which medications they do or do not carry is up to your pharmacy. While most are very considerate and obliging, they are not required to carry any specific medications. Have you tried seeing if one of your local pharmacies will order it in for you? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Thanks to Obama. Out of MEDS. Take Opana ER 10 an Opana IR 10 milligrams both only 2 times a day but lots of problems, need surgery but can't. Was on Methodone 100miligram over 7 yrs till I changed on Opana an out of MEDS not enough to get me thru. What is the difference between the ASC\116 and the 54 labled methadone? I am used to the 54's and this time i was given the ASC's and got really nauseous.. Is there a different ingredient that would cause this? i switched from 60mgs of meth to suboxone .they suggested i wait 30 days clean from methadone . i liead it had only been 26hrs i felt like eating a bullet. its been three days on suboxone does n e one know how long it will b till i get my energy back i still have chills please help ## After you switch to subs from methadone how long until you feel good again? Been clean from opiates, had a relapse, went to a methadone clinic but still on of course. If left up to them I would be forever with the money they're making in a private facility. So i've brought myself down to 10mg over period of time. But my question is how long does it stay in your system? I will be having to do a urine test for a job and definitely don't think or want them to know the last 2 days I have cut it down to 7mg n just plan on stopping altogether rough or not in next day or 2. (been through worse)? ## Up to a month (sometimes more) after your last dose. I know this thread is old but many on the Internet are but people still look, find and read. I had a false positive ua for opiates at my methadone clinic on June 28th. I had only given the sample less then 36 hours prior to being told it tested positive for opiates. I was completly in shock! How could this be possible? I HAVEN'T used ANYTHING since December 31st, 2015, and how could they possibly have results that quick when the sample has to go all the way to SanDiego, Ca from Renton,Wa(just south of Seattle, Wa)? I demanded that the sample be retested right away and paid the $15 fee for the retest, which is suppose to be an upgraded more accurate test. If I've been taking 10 mg of Methadone 6 times a day, is it at all possible I could give a clean urine if I haven't taken any for 60 hours? ## They have to have a specific test for methadone. Most drug tests are 5 panel tests. If they are 10 panel they usually test for it. methadone takes like a week to get completely out of your system. Especially if you have been taking it for a long period of time. ## DaddioMD is correct, to be detected, they must specifically be testing for Methadone, by running a wider panel test, it will not show up on the regular opiate tests, like Morphine or Oxycodone would. I have been on methadone for 9 months... I was up to 80 mg but have managed to get down to 20 mg over the past 5 months or so. I am wanting to get off it all together but I am so scared because I don't want to feel miserable from the wd. Since I have been on it less than a year, will the wd still be horrible? I go to the clinic once a week and get take homes I am on 100mg of methadone daily. I have had the fly and thur my dose up after taking it within 5 min of swallowing it. Hi I have tried dopamine drugs, Pramipexole & so on. now Gabapentin & my symptoms are coming back in addition to side effects of this drug. I took a pretty employment drug test for a CNA position and they said I failed. I am legally prescribed methadone so is it possible for the methadone to have results affecting other sections of the panel? ## Damn discriminatory bastards the medical field is the worst i think.
