Methadone Clinic And Drug Testing (Page 4) (Top voted first)

I just started going to the methadone clinic about 4 weeks ago. I used to be a very heavy drug user, Heroin and pills were my life. When I took my initial drug test at the clinic I asked them if my marijuana levels were really high, and they told me they don't test for marijuana. I live in Texas. Does anyone know what kind of drug test they are using and exactly what they test for? I thought on all standard drug tests, they test for THC. Also I mistakenly took a 1mg football mistaking it for an aleve. In highschool i used to put them in aleve bottles. My mom just moved and the bottle was up in the medicine cabinet in the new house. OOPS. When I started feeling extremely relaxed, it clicked at what I had just ingested. This was 10 days ago today. The clinic tested me this morning. I'm not very familiar with this drug test and what exactly they are looking for. I used to work in a treatment center (before relapsing) and the addictionologist told me that klonopin can be detected for up to 2 weeks, but it has a MUCH MORE SIGNIFICANT longer half life than xanax. I'm just looking for some people's feedback that are familiar with the clinic and the drug testing there. I AM VERY AWAY THAT IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO MIX BENZOS WITH METHADONE. It has taken several of my friend's lives. No one has to tell me that, I have experienced it first hand. It was an honest mistake but if I come up positive, there is NO WAY my counselor will believe that. What do drug addicts do... con and lie to people. I'd appreciate any feedback people can give me.

Xanax is the benzo with the longest half life. I am shocked that your clinic does NOT test for THC! Sometimes they test you for EVERYTHING, and the next drop they may only test you for 2 or 3 things. It always varies....Good luck :-)

hey what i know is they test for everything at methadone clinics which includes testing for methadone itself. Having said that back in 80's-90's I made tea till I thought color was rite to pass as urine, added a couple drops of methadone and I passed. Did that for many years. Couple months ago I added water to my urine (i wanted it to come back as non testable but thats a long story) anyway they were able to test it. Myth about adding water I guess

I've been on methadone for over a year. I've gone from 120 mgs to 35mgs. I had a bottle recall Sunday, I went in dosed, and then they drug tested me with a mouth swab. I went back today, and my counselor told me that I tested negative for methadone. How is this possible, I take it everyday!!

Do you drink alcohol? If do that cuts your dose in half that you take . Also the swab test is not that great when it comes to being exact... Our clinic sends everything off to a lab... So tell them to send it to the lab bc you should have small traces of methadone in your system...

Idk what they use but u can ask for a release of info to urself and they will give u copy's of ur ua results. And it says everything that they can test for i guess. As far as i know they dont start out testing u for it all, just main ones, then later it can get easier or harder .. And as far as what ur asking im trying to figure it out my self for diffrent resons somehow we are all getting f***ed hmmmm was thinkin the results might give u an idea. hope it helps ..........im lost

Yes u have to test positive for h. The place i go to wanted me to be withdrawling when i went in, but it doesent matter, none of it does. Either some will use it to be helped and actually try and others will continue to f*** it till nothings left. s*** is what I say.

Why us as patients in a methadone treatments dont have any rights....their very strict about take home bottles....they will take them away for any little thing...they all work together.... counselor director.. they dont want to work with us..ive been on methadone maintenance for 3 years now...one dirty urine in 3 years they took all 6 bottles away...& ever since its been difficult to get them back...i expressed my concerns to my counselor but it seems like she doesnt care..i have shy bladder syndrome as well....they do random urine there...they dont want to do other test besides urine test....at times i have to be at the program for 1hour 30 min just to be able to pee...its not fair they make my life harder..im there trying to get help...not judged

I have had friends with counselors who did tell them when they were calling them in for call backs (in which you have to drop). But that's the only thing I've hears of knowing when.

Hey i have been going to the clinic in Alabama for 4 years and i had been getting a script for Adipex for a year and long story short i got my take homes took and got in trouble but i needed the energy so i took one today so before i took it i peed in a cup and saved it cause i think i have a pee test tomorrow but will it still show for methadone and everything it's supposed to with me saving it like this and how exactly do u do it do u put it in the fridge are what

I go to Marysville clinic and it's in WA, we can't use marijuana, pisses me off.. Everett allows marijuana.. the reason Marysville doesn't is cause it's on tribal

They test for metabolites of methadone, not methadone itself.. If you injected it, you won't have any metabolites.. You have to drink it in order for your liver to convert it to metabolites.. It will not show up if you just bang it..

yes fridge it and for sure.. just make sure its the temp of 97 i think or body temp. Not every clinic has temp gage on theres but i know at times mine did, so i used to do the same with wanting to still use marijuana and use someones else's at the clinic. You should be good. It does evaporate or whatever u may think...bc u got to think they send it to a lab and there r times that ur u/a sits for a couple days or so and then they might test it or whatever..

That is absolutely NOT TRUE! YOU CAN TEST POSITIVE FOR DRUGS BY USING THEM IN ANY WAY! YOUR ROA IS IRRELEVANT!

I am the foster parent of my grandson and his dad is my son. When my son comes to visit my grandson he ALWAYS goes to the bathroom and stays in there for long periods of time and when he comes out he can barely hold his eyes opened. He gets drug tested by his parole officer and a methadone clinic and this confuses me because he passes these test but never seems sober. Please explain how he does this
