I took Metformin once a day. Then the Dr. wanted me to take two a day. I took 2 a day then saw it was making me feel bad, tired, sleepy, no energy in the afternoon. I stopped the 2 dose & went back to 1. A month later I tried again with 2 a day. Now my muscles hurt like they have arthritis, hurting in muscles not joints. After 3 weeks of trying I stopped the 2 dose & went back to 1. My question is should I go to Dr. & have they change it all together or take 1 metformin & something else with it. I've been diabetic for years but here lately my hormones, hot flashes has been bad , I'm turning 52 now it seem as if I can't get my daily testing especially in the AM under control I'm on 5mg of Glibizide and 500mg 2x a day of metformin. Hi! I started taking Metformin today. I take 100mg of the above Metformin 1 time a day with the evening meal. Sometimes the next morning I will notice the undesolved tablest in my stool, especially when I have diarrhea. I suffered profound and sudden hearing loss just a few weeks after my physician put me on Metformin 500s, and I strongly suspect this medication. I am not even pre-diabetic, and have a healthy diet, just a body that has been stubborn to lost adipose tissue in my mid-50s, although my cholesterol is 70 and BP is usually 110/70 with blood sugar on the low side. He prescribed Metformin, thinking it may 'trick' my body into whatever, but I've read something about the activity involved in the inner ear area with chemical change, and highly suspect this in my unilateral hearing loss, right ear. Hi there, I'm 26 years old and been diagnosed with PCOS. Really explains alot on my period absence for more then 2 years. So I've been taking metformin as well as Diane 35. I have completed the first 21 pill and I'm the midst of the resting days for 7 days before I can continue on taking the other 21 pill. My Ob gave me a 2 month medication for Diane 35 as well as the metformin. The thing is, on the 6th day of my break from Diane 35, my period came out. Its not that much, but it still counts as me having my period right? So once i'm done with my period, do I still need to continue taking Diane 35?
