I have been taking Metformin for about 20 years. What I noticed when I begin to take it was my appetite was significantly decreased. I lost about 12 pounds, which was good. The last 5 years I've noticed I have a difficult time eating out because (1) the food taste too salty and (2) the portions are way too big.
