Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 48) (Top voted first)

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

These are recent postings. I am still suffering from effects after two weeks off Lyrica. Toes are so swollen I cannot wear shoes, fingers still swollen, still have aching joints.

this is recent postings some have been off of it for years not all side effects go away unfortunately. But if you are still taking the drug you should find a way to stop taking. But there are withdrawals from stopping cold turkey so find a good doctor and we are trying to find a lawyer to get it taken off the market before it destroys any more lives. They just started advertising it for people with diabetes saying it will get rid of the swelling and nerve pain. It caused swelling and nerve pain for me and many others so not sure how it is going to help those with diabetes. Scary !

Please try to contact me privately about lyrica. There is a previous posting from this site that may allow you to contact me. I do not know how far back you have to go. If they let my previous reply through you may be able to find and contact me. I hope this site will repeat their posting about contact with each other. All I can say is we have a small group working on this problem. However it may take a long time to get something going.

Its been about 18 months since I got off it but I'm still having side effects, especially memory and problems with balance. I can't walk without losing my balance, I walk like a drunk person. If anybody figures out to get a lawyer to work this for us, please let me know too. I've got a few things to tell them!

Betty, there is a previous posting from this site that may allpw you to contact me or mrs wagaman who worked with me @ the rhmc. We are on another popular site about lyrica. We think as one when it comes to lyrica . If you can find me, we can tell each other about the effects of lyrica. I worked nights seven years ago as a respiratory therapistas did mrs. Wagaman. There is an earlier posting from this site that said we would be alloword to contact each other to talk and hopefully find some one to sue pfyzer and take lyrica off the markt.

What is this about lyrica? Now it is given to diabetics with nerve pain? Let's see now, hmmm, lyrica originately developed for fibromalagia. What other uses can we, pfyzer use it for and make money. If anyone developes a side effect we did not see in our control grup, well, the next new commercial on tv when we will add it as a side effect. Hmmm, the feeliing of pain is transmitted by nerves!!!! Hey great!!!! We have the"pennicilin and aspirin". We hadeveloped a universal pain killer,. Let's get darvon and darvocet off the market even if they ha some evil side effects. We can make more money on lyrica, the new universal pain pill. Hmmm, what kind of pain can we use it on. Why, all kinds!!!! Feelings of pain are sent to the brain. Hmmm, give someone in pain lyrica!! Pain is relieved, it tells the nervrves there is no pain. Wow!!!! Relief.

Uh-Oh, more sde effects. So what. When is the next commercial coming out. Suicidal tendencies, blurry visio or loss of eye sight? So what! We are only destroying afew neurons. The brain has plenty. What kinds of pain do we will use lyrica for. Hmmm, I got it! What about migraines chronic pain conditions, diabetes, arthritis herniated discs and maybe a stubbed toe. Hmmm, seems like we can use it for any kind of pain. People do not care if a few neurons or neural connections are destroyed. We made our money. Hmmm, what other tried and true med, which has been around twenty-five years or more. Maybe another universal drug to kill all the bacteria inside and outside the body? Hmmm, probably will have some side effects, why the new drug may cure HIV, Hepititis, and cancer to boot. How was my little story. Manufacture a drug, testing as required by law, and release iit to the guenea piigs outsde and see what happens to the general pibli.,you and me and never havve an advocate and pfyzer and their kind make money. Remember the drug thalamine and the birth defects it caused. We must keep fighting, some times when I read the postings, it seems many of have given up. I never will. I was forced to leave a job that I loved after twenty-nine years of service. I know lyrica was a big reason my emploers left me go.

Hi Mary ,from what i have seen from my son, Lyrica is also a dumbing down drug , my son was a brilliant student before takeing lyrica , fyzzer is probably thinking Lyrica will make people to stupid to realise the cause of there problem .

Hi Cyndy , the same goes with my son ,his last dose was 2.8 years ago and is still unwell because of Lyrica , his memory and concentration are shocking especialy for a 19 year old, this stuff causes brain damage and the most fustrating thing is doctors refuse to achnowledge that it is the Lyrica and officialy record and register the side effect , they have never heard of a drug that never wears off , we need to push our doctors to register our complaint so the information will get back to the relevent authoritys .

Every time I read a new post here I so identify with the problems that I find it hard to believe no one is listening or doing anything about this drug. I am not the person I used to be. My life has changed so dramatically. I can't remember things, I can't focus on anything for very long and sometime forget what I am doing while I am doing it. I stay anxious but can't figure out what to do about it. I don't know if this drug affects everyone or not, but it certainly affected me. I have spread the word to my family and friends that if a doctor suggests Lyrica or the generic form of it to anyone they know or themselves, they need to avoid it at all costs.

Hi Dianne , you mentioned feeling amxious , Lyrica triggered a very severe anxiety disorder with my son who is now 19 years of age , this is near impossible to treat because it is not a normal biological anxiety but one caused by drug damage from Lyrica , there is a huge difference in his academic ability and personality after lyrica ,this is a truly very dangerous drug . I would like to know if any one else out there has had a sudden on set of severe anxiety following treatment with Lyrica ,

I have been seeing someone for a year I have panic attacks,nightmares every night I can't sleep without taking a high dose of elavil and on it I still wake up from the nightmares but can fall back asleep because of the meds.

Lyrica damaged my eyesight, swelling all over, severe weight gain, and took my hair out in 60 days. that was in 2006 and my eyesight has gotten much worse. I had 20/20 vision before this stuff. so im truly waiting for lyrica is exposed for the damage it does short term.

F you want to contact me about lyrica you may. Several postings ago, I do not know the number this site gave us permission to contact each other. There is one in our group who says he has a lawyer trying to find someone who will take our case on. If you do contact me it may take a day or two to answer you. I have gone back to school for another skill. But at 62 and lyrica , even though it has been six years, I still have probles with memory and coordination. Some one told me we need @ least 40 people for a class action suit. I don't know. Check me out.I was a and still a victim but not like some of you. I think of myself as a lucky one. Regarding lyrica, do not expect birds. In regards to my age and lyrica, I do not use much makeup on my face siince off that drug. No puffiness or eyeglasses.

Nick, my husband committed suicide after being on Lyrica for one month. If you hear about any open lawsuits, please post the info. I have called my lawyer and left a voicemail, so hopefully I will hear something soon.

My wife killed herself after taking lyrica for less than week. I didn't know she was taking it- got samples somewhere. I can't find any lawyers that will talk to me about options. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
