Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

Kevin, I am about at that point, but I keep hoping I'll get better. With pain in joints, toes so swollen can't wear shoes, saddest feeling I've ever had, even through deaths of mother, husband and sister. I am so sorry you or your wife didn't know what was happening.

I was afraid this would happen evetually. When I had my second child back in the 80s I was given zomax for pain while in the hospital. A few months later I ws giiven zomax for pain. Since I was a nurse @ the time I knew the minute I took the first dose, I was having an allergy reaction. I was going into anaphylactic shock. Luckly my family doctor was one block away. He gave me eprinephrine and had his nurse keep an eye on me. I recovered. A few years later the fda pulled zomax off the market becausr people were dying from allergy reactions. Contact the fda and ask for a form to fill out about lyrica is a bad drug.

Lyrica should be taken off the market...Pfizer is making billions and people are suffering and dying because of it. They have paid a big fine for mislabeling ...
This is what I read:
Lyrica is one of four drugs which a subsidiary of Pfizer in 2009 pleaded guilty to misbranding "with the intent to defraud or mislead". Pfizer agreed to pay $2.3 billion (1.4 billion) in settlement, and entered a corporate integrity agreement. Pfizer illegally promoted the drugs and caused false claims to be submitted to government healthcare programs for uses that were not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

That's been done and noting has happened. Pfizer paid a 2.1 billion dollar settlement that each state got a huge chunk of. Both parties. Since then they've been getting away w murder. Even this site is oddly moderated. Even facebook search results so we can coordinate and create a loud public voice are interfered with. They know exactly what they are doing obviously. Which is why none of are getting anywhere in spite of the clear physical damage lyrica has done to us. It is not being responded to by authorities in the same manner other drugs have been our whole lives. Apparently they paid out enuf to have the rules bent or changed or dozens of lawyers would be chasing us down to get a piece of the action. But clearly they are afraid to. It could mess up their career to go against the powers that be operating the bar in their states. I've had most of my posts here moderated and changed, sometimes to make it look like I can't spell, sometimes to drop out key points or to change a word from 'short' to 'shot' to make me look menacing or crazy etc. Yup, they are covering every angle so far.

Brandy , there is nothing more i would like tthan to sue these money hungry corrupt bastards for what there product has done to my son ,and every one else who has come to grief, we all deserves recognition and compensation for what Lyrica has done to our lives , the hardest thing though will be the medical evedence , how do you conclusively prove the damage in a court of law , lawers will use the doubt card to full advantage as well as character assasinations , we need concrete medical evedence , what test is available? .will our numbers and testimonys suffice ?

Hi Kevin , i am so very sorry to hear about your wife , this unfortunatly is a known and documented side effect of lyrica that no one who takes the drug believes it will actually happen to them ., as Lyrica alters the brain waves in eppileptic patients for whom Lyrica was first developed for, what is this stuff doing to the brain waves of healthy brains

I hope this gets through. I have called a lawyer, rottenstein (think that is how they spell their name) I told them about what happened but they need more of us to call them. If the site will let me I will try to post their number. If not, you will have to look them up on line.

I am sorry that I had to spell out the number but I have trouble with my phone some time. To whoever is monitering this site, what are afraid of? Are you in league with the makers of lyrica. Was your Wife PRESCRIBED these Lyrica samples? These must have been prescribed. I'm afraid if she got them from someone other than a dorctor; then there is very little hope for you. It's like a kid eating poison.

To Nick: I had a serious stroke on Sunday morning. This is one of the " side effects of Lyrica." I am off this drug as of today. I am not ready to die from another one.
Not just weight gain; strokes too!

Yes that way they can monitor all communications and interfere at will. If Pfizer has this site and ones like it operating just the way they want, and continutes to affect search results on other pages, then it is mission accomplished for them. A job well done right? Risk reduced and reallocated right? but still completely illegal in the US which is why they r lining pockets and have lawyers whispering loads of bs in everyone's ears. They r killing people, they almost killed me and I'm pretty sure they regret that I lived thru it to testify about it. I lost my vision for months, some it permanently, had blisters covering the entire inside and outside of my body and it's a miracle I'm alive. And it is no that rare for it to happen. What is rare is for the victim to survive it and talk. The only real question is when and against exactly which individuals within Pfizer the political corruption and murder charges will be brought first. They cannot silence the whole internet for good or kill us all off, too many victims for that.

Trent , all the authoritys need to do is put a Lyrica filter on the net and every time the word Lyrica comes up they are alerted , the system is against us .

Hi Evelin sorry to hear about your stroke , hope you got to hospital quickly and had imediate treatment , going cold turkey with Lyrica may be a nightmare depending on how long you were on it and at what dose , my thoughts will be with you , good luck ..

She was a mental health RN. I think she got them from the Meds locker at her work place, but cannot be sure.

My son took Lyrica for several years yet he remained in constant pain, it destroyed his teeth and health. He died in hsi 40's

Herb , am very sorry to hear about your son , Lyrica needs to be removed from the market , this vile drug am sure could not have been tested properly before going on the market , it seems to work by damageing the integrity of the nervous system leading to many more problems , but all Pffyser cares about is there profits .

It definately affects the way your brain functions and the tests I had done on my nerves (can't remember what it is called) but it showed I had nerve damage. The problem is the doctors are not aware of the dangers. The mri of my brain was on normal while on lyrica. It is terrible how many people were left to suffer and those that died without any of the doctors that prescribed them realizing what was going on. It is mind blowing.

Renee , could you please tell me how long you were on Lyrica and at what dose, am interested to know at what level Lyrica caused your nerve damage , my son was on it all up for around 4 months at up to 4 x 75 mg per day and is still not right nearly 3 years later , i feel that Lyrica effectevly causes a chemical Labotomy , there for no pain ,no brain ,no problem .

I know you have not heard from me in a long time. Someone once asked me what my dosage was. I seem to remember it was greater than 300 mg per day. It takes a lot to get me pain free. I was told to increase it evry two weeks, I do not remember the dose, until I was pain free. I have arthritis, degenertive bone disease, and osteoporosis. I think I was @ the max. dosage for the drug back in 2006. I never noticed any side effects, outside of losing my balance @ home and needing help getting up, but my friends and family did, thank god, that is why I got off cold turkey. I stayed in bed or on the couch, whever my family left me with my food, bathroom closeby with sturdy objects I could hold on to, and most importantly, I kept my cell phone on me @ all times especially when I was alone. Thank god I had no problems getting off. I have gone back to a community college to learn to be a medical secretary. After being a nurse and respiratory therapist I did not want to waste my medical knowlege. The only thing is, has junior college gotten harder or has my ability to retain things been affected because of some brain cells been destroyed. Alzheihimer does not run in my family. My grandmother was 99 years young when she died an had all her faculties. Even if someone finds a lawyer, I think there is a statute of limitations, and I am probably past it. I blame lyrica for my retention and coordination problems when typing. I justt hope I can suceed and employers will not care about my speed just my accurracy. I pity the people , who live alone, and have those suicidal tendencies. Who is watching over them when they decide to end it all by any means available and lyrica will not be blamed. How many have died already that were on lyrica and killed themselves because of a lyrica side effect. Good luck to you all.
