Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

Dawn was she tested for rhabdomyolysis? I was only on Lyrica for 6 weeks and couldn't walk. After several tests being ran and being in the hospital twice, they finally figured out that I had rhabdo.

To everyone who has had a bad reaction to lyrica, the people who monitor this site posted my blog about calling 60 minutes. Since we don't have the money needed to counteract lyrica, let's lete news source do it for us. Who knows, there maybe lawyer out there hungry enough. So find my blog. It is about 3 to 10 back with all the information you need to get 60 minutes involved. Let's do something! Stop wallowing and complaining, and that means me too. It's about time that a doctor was truly motivated by helping people get well instead of doing it JUST FOR THE MONEY. I do think most doctors start out with a desire to heal the sick, but the stresses of the job and long hours day after day wear them down. Then, the food and drug companies promise them false solutions without exposing the real risks to the general public. Now, we have a a drug dependent population and doctors clueless to making a any real contribution to the public they supposedly serve.

Anji- I am so sorry I know how that treatment affects you my daughter and all of her cousins get it every 3 weeks and although it is needed to try to keep them from getting terribly ill it has side effects of its own. I hope it helps you!

I went to my Dr today. The rhabdomyolysis has flared up again. The good news is that no one in his practice is prescribing Lyrica any longer. They reported my case to the FDA too.

Lisa F that is great news , if enough doctors do this then it will generate the momentum needed to remove this vile drug from the market and may be give us the hope of compensation for the damages Lyrica has caused , i am still distressed over what Lyrica did to my sons life and the ongoing torment he faces daily .his ability to concentrate and retain information is still very bad three years after his last dose of Lyrica , studying is very frustrating and difficult especially when he had a brilliant memory before taking Lyrica .

Thanks Renee, so far I only get the bad headaches from it but we must go on. This Lyrica has got to come off all medication lists, the side affects are too drastic and once you develop it theres no turning back.

So is mine, nick, and i$e been off almost 6 years. I really have to concetrate. I was put on ambilfy to help the valium I take, but even then I blow up like mt st helen. I usually try to throw something soft. But it seems my temper is getting worse, my husband trys to be funny, but I wish hekd just leave and not come back. Those fellings are becoming more frequent. That lyrica did a number on me. oh i'd getmad but I never saw red. By and good luck to all.

I was not taking any of the other drugs that cause rhabdomyolysis. The problem is the common side effects mask rhabdo. Swelling of hands, arms and legs. Fatigue and muscle weakness are also the symptoms. My nurse practitioner was reading the drug's chemical structure and said this drug is poison. They are trying to figure out what meds to put me on to control the pain. I refuse to take anything that has a similar drug chemistry.

Hi Mary , Dr Danny Traum who lectures in medicine at Monash University in Melbourne Australia told my son that if Lyrica can change the way an epileptic brain works then what is it doing to the brain function of a normal brain , this is one of the reasons i weaned my son of Lyrica but it was already too late the damage was done , and the emotional feeling you describe from the effects of Lyrica are very similar to my sons .., also Lyrica was designed for treatment of epileptic fits .not for pain or any thing else .

Nick, don't you know, lyrica is the new 21st, "asperin" of the century. It's the new miracle drug; just like the 20th century, penicillin was the new "miracle drug of thetime. They are presribing it from headaches to gout. Let's take asperin, tylenol advil, and alleve. We don't need them. Placelyrica on the counter where the other drugs were. Make so you do not needthe a presription, then we can all be bloody, blithering idiots, who will be elected because he will garentee a lollipop in every house, because we will not remember the real issues @ hand. :'( Mary

Hi Mary , i see why so many Americans like to carry a gun in the US , there is no rightful justice any more , this Lyrica business is so degrading and hurtful that if i was a US citizen i would be very tempted to march into the Fyyzzer building , find the CEO and share back a token of my own suffering
