Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 42)

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

Some replies are put on the post. They censor them, supposidly (forgive seppling and typos) to protect your privacy. I think , even though they say we can contact each other privately about lyrica, they are on the drug makers side and every new syptom gets reported. I noticed that in commercials. I went to see a psychiatrist yeesterday, he said my memory problems are due to age not lyrica, even though I was 55 wen on lyrica. I am now 62 and still have the same symptoms. How can you lose short term memory in a few days, especially when in those few days you are on lyrica. He put me on ambilify to prevent my anxiety problems and blowups so I don't feel like yelling @ my my husband, family or cats and wanting to kill everyone just to make them shut up. Don't worry I won't kill anyone, it's just a feeling. I hope this new drug doesn't make things worse. But the monitors of this site should not be so strict, that's whyI think they are in a conspricy with the drug companies.

Anji - What are you taking the lyrica for? They prescribe it for everything now. But if you are still taking it the problems won't lesson at all. Once it was out of my system I could actually speak again but while on it I couldn't get a word out but the longer you are on it the more damage it does. Find someone you trust but your problems you are having are the norm not the exception for this med and the relief you might get from it are outweighed greatly by the bad. It's probably hard to remember what you felt like before starting it.

Hi Mary , did you have the anxiety before you took the Lyrica or did the Lyrica cause it as it did with my teen age son ?

I ocassionally would have one, liike once or twice around the year whe I'd have 8 people for dinner @ thanksgiving or christmas, but never like when on lyrica or since. Now I have @ least one a day. I get so tense and angry ,I almost feel like killing the person who's aggrivating me even my cats. The only way I can control it is by yelling or screaming @ the person or whoever is bothering me. It's very hard to control, and these deadlines @ school are not helping, they make things worse because I feel I'm not getting any support. Also I really have to work hard to remember what I need to for school, and that causes an attack but I try to keep from pulling my hair out. I am still hanging on, but it's been harder since lyrica.

I take lyrica for low back pain, and my dose was increased to 300mg daily several months ago, the stuttering started shortly after the increase.

Everyone call CBS 60 minutes. Get those people with fybramalacia whohave had bad effects call too. Did any of you compare the side effects of darvocet (FDA pulled it) with lyrica. Darvocet is a kitten's little meow to lyrica's roar!

I consulted with a doctor about how to get off Lyrica. She has suggested that I reduce my dose by 25mgs a week for 8 weeks. Hopefully that will work and I won't get the horrible nausea I got before. best of luck to everyone here.

As a RN I took myself off LYRICA after it put me into Heart Failure. I say "took myself off" because my Neurologist let me design my own taper schedule. You may need to take a little longer than 8 weeks to do this since going faster can cause problems which may frustrate you and cause issues you won't like. Patience with this process is always better than experiencing withdrawal effects.

I was lucky not to have any withdrawal effects when I went cold turkey from lyrica.

Hi, has anyone ever heard of bilateral leg paralyzation? Daughter was on it for six weeks then tapered off for 1 week. She was taking 150mg. 1x day. 2 weeks later she can't walk.

It doesn't matter whether you wean yourself off or go cold cold turkey in regards with lyrica, that's why I said call 6@ minutes they may decide to investigate lyrica. Once off the damage remains. I'm in college and I have some memory loss. I was taking notes and forgot how to spell "minor". Go ahead and wean. You are still destroying brain neurons. Call fo minutes, find the number anywhay you can. Maybe a lawyer will see it and help us!!

Dawn- Just lack of feeling during urination which I have read is another wonderful side effect from the drug so I wouldn't be surprised if losing the ability to walk is from it.

Hi ......I have some nerve paralization. I went to a neurologist and had a test don where they stuck my legs and arms with needles connected to a computer that prints out a reading. The neurologist found nerve damage and recommended that I get IVIG. Now I receive IVIG every 30 days for the past 2 years. I must say its a miracle treatment! It really works for me.

I meant call 60 minutes. Use your computer to find them, then follow ther instructions. Itmay work, but you won't know unless you try.

Anji- IVIG is for an immune deficiency as far as I know why are they giving it to you for nerve damage. My daughter gets it every couple of weeks. Do you know what it does?
