Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 31)

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

Hi. I'm new. I took one 75 mg pill of lyrica for fibro, and was hospitalized for 3 days. I am experiencing almost all the side effects people listed. JUST ONE PILL. Jerking, SEVERE balance problems, shakiness, vision problems, memory/speaking problems, Hair loss, headache....just ONE PILL. this stuff is so bad. Everyone on this site should write/email the FDA about their experiences. Also CBS 60 minutes has won the most Emmys for investigative reporting. Send them your stories and beg them to investigate. Our horrifying side effects need NETWORK EXPOSURE to BEGIN the ball rolling to expose the " alleged" unethical behavior at Pfizer. The pharmaceutical /healthcare lobby have billions of dollars at their disposal and are strong, but WE ARE STRONGER!!!!!! Make your voices heard. We will get justice. all of you, will forever be in my heart and prayers. Stay strong!

I am posting for a friend who has been effected by LYRICA.!!! He has swelling, memory lose, problems with eye sight, and has been off the durg for sometime. Yet the side effects continue to rule his eveyday life. How can I help get HELP!!! I have watched the pain and suffering to LONG!!!!! HE has no e-mail address but the more voices their are the better chance we all have. his phone number or address is all he has. I dont know about posting that. ANY SUGGESTIONS??? PLEASE !!!!! He is A Person Who Has no life because of a bad Drug that dosent seem to be leaving his system At all......................... Side effects contiune as if he were still taking them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crissy , we are in the same boat , the drug wears off but seems to cause permanent damage that only improves slightly as the years go by , so sorry to hear of another victim of this foul drug , my son was only 16 when given Lyrica , was a brilliant student but cant even finish high school now , even the strength of his youth has not prevented his life being trashed .

I'm wondering if the side effects from Lyrica are related to the incredibly high doses that some people are on. I've been on it for 2 1/2 years and it has pretty much saved my life. I take 50 mg at night. Originally I was taking another 25 mg. in the morning (I have trigeminal neuralgia), but when I get above 50 mg. it makes me feel goofy, so I just don't take the morning dose. the 50 mg keeps the nerves in my face calm. When on 75 mgs, I did find myself giggling at inappropriate times, but I've not had any of the respiratory, dental or vision problems I've been reading about. Which makes me wonder if docs are prescribing way too much.

Mammaj , you are right about the High dose ,Dr Terrence Lim from North Eastern Rehab in Ivanhoe Melbourne started my then sixteen year old son on 75mg x2 per day which was bad enough but the real damage done was when he upped it to 75mg x 4 per day .,that was an insane dose for a child and he has never been the same boy since that time , he is now 19 years of age and suffers from exteme anxiety , phobias , memory problems that he had absolutly no sign of before takeing Lyrica , he is nearly totaly disfunctional as a human being .

Mammaj , i believe age has a lot to do with it as well , older brains seem to cope better with Lyrica than younger brains ,especialy if still developing like in adolecents .however some people are far less tolerent of Lyrica than others , some have severe problems at very low doses .

Sorry but it has nothing to do with high doses I was in my 40's and taking 50mg twice a day and I have written about all of the horrible things the drug has done to me and thankfully I found a doctor who took me off of lyrica before the depression and all of the horrible side effects got the best of me. The doctors either are not aware of the dangers of the drug because they are incompetent or because they get kickbacks for prescribing as much of it as possible. Either way what I was put through and still suffer with is cruel.No one should have to keep suffering needlessly while the doctors keep their heads in the sand. I sent an email to NBC news investigation again!

I was on 150 mg of it for a year, and I finally titrated myself off of it by dumping small amounts out of the capsules. I hated it. Made me feel like a moron.

justpasingtime ,thank you for your efforts , gaining legal recognition for damages caused by Lyrica would be a God send ,still cant believe Lyrica was ever approved in the first place i think the FDA should be sued for neglegence .

They do no not put our email or fb adresses on line here. The middle initial of my name stands for a bush that has flowers on it. At least when I was on lyyrica they did not make fun of wagaman. I always was teased about it. But lyrica made me act like a drunk. I am sorry you could not find me. I live in reading, pa. I wish they wete not so strict. We can always treat blogs as spam and not answer. Maybe they are part of a conspiricy with lyrica and want to give us false hope. :'(

Kim, I tried to send you more info since I took lyrica but I do not think it will get through, try reading pa look @ all the marys you might find me eventually. I should update to include lyrica for the reason rhmc got rid of me. Iacting like a drunk and did not notice it. I also fell a lot,but I did not remember half of them. It was my family who found me crawling on the floor trying to find some way to get up
