I have a very bad tooth ach and i have taken 2 500mlg lortabs and the pain hasnt even begin to barely go away would it hurt to take another one or take a vicodine please help cant handle the pain anymore ## Have you contacted your doctor, or a dentist? If the toothache is due to an infection, then it may be difficult to get pain relief, you are likely going to need an antibiotic. Both Lortab and Vicodin contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, so continuing to take more isn't advisable, as it could result in overdose.

Hi I have been prescribed Percoset 10/325 for about a year, before that was on Lortab 10/500 for 6 years, my new pain management doctor has mentioned that there is a new pain patch that contains oxycodone and asked if I would like to try it. I told him no for now because frankly it kind of worries me. I have been on opiates for so long that I am naturally addicted to them, I have a torn trapezius muscle, need a knee replacement which they won't do yet because they say I am too young, have sciatica and degenerative disk disease along with carpal tunnel, so I have legitimate reasons for being prescribed the pain meds, what I am worried about with the patch, is will I have withdraw symptoms since I am not physically taking the pills, also, I tried using the nicotine patch years ago and...

i need to know how long the side effects last.i have tryed several times to stop went 14 days gave up could not take it went got more i NEED HELP PLEASE ## You mean you took 180 tablets in a week? If so, you may be past side effects and into permanent organ damage, so you need to seek medical attention. Even the lowest dosage of these contain 325mgs of Acetaminophen in each tablet, along with the narcotic Hydrocodone and that comes out to 58,500mgs in a week and it is considered toxic at anything over 4,000mgs in a day, which would be only 28,000mgs in a week. You may have done permanent liver damage and need to speak to a doctor. ## dont have insurance so cant get to deep do not send a reply dont want wife to know thanks

Do Lortabs lose effectiveness if they are old? Are they less strong if they are old? ## Yes, almost all medications will lost effectiveness, with time. That's why the FDA mandates that they all have an expiration date. Though these ones don't, there are even a couple that turn into toxic substances, after they start to break down. Are there any questions or comments?

I have been prescribed 10mg Lortabs, to be taken 3 x's per day. Yesterday I only took 1 1/2, and the day before I only took a 1/2. Not because of the pre-employment test, but because that's all I needed. The last one I took was at 8:30pm last night. Today at 12:30pm I took a drug test for a job. If I am only taking 1/2 the amount, and I am legally prescribed Lortab, why would I fail? I am not an abuser at all. It would seem to me that the test would need to show "therapeutic" levels of the drug and whether or not I am above the level. ## Did you tell them you had a prescription for it? Took a tsp of loratab taken on wed show up on a drug screen on fri had a tooth pulled pain got to bad during the nite but now just got informed i have to take a drug screen fri and of the script wasnt mine ## Lortab contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, the Hydrocodone is a narcotic and like most other medications in this class, it can be detectable in a standard urine test for approximately 4 to 5 days, after last dosing. There is really no way to give a more precise time frame, because it is going to vary, depending on your own metabolism, overall health, activity levels and etc. Are there any other questions or comments?

Got some yellow pills and was told they were lortabs but has no markings or writing on the side. There big yellow plain pills. What are they? Please help ## Hmmm - no markings? All U.S. based prescription drugs will carry a distinct color and marking, as required by the FDA. So you must have either: - a Lortab from outside the USA (impossible to verify without a lab test) - a fake pill (either over the counter or something else) Wish I had a more definite answer for you!

Howdy folks, in bad shape and need some relief. I've taken the Lortabs/Lorcegts, Darvaset Percoset, yada, yada yada. Come here pretty lady I have something to put in your mouth! ## Have tried any of the straight narcotic analgesics, such as Oxycontin, which is a time released formulation of Oxycodone, or MS Contin, which is a time released formulation of Morphine? Can Lortab make you test positive for cocaine on a urine test? ## Cocaine: you dont have to worry about a false positive so much. But opiates you will most deffinetly show up if you have taken lortab in the past few days. ## He is correct about opiates and they stay in your system about 72 hours ## If you have been taking them long term, then they will stay even longer than 72 hours. ## It depends on the test and who's testing you. A simple 5 panel drug test for pre-employment wouldn't show hydromorphone on the Opiates section of the test. For most employers at least. A pain clinic checking to see what you have in your system would test for the synthetic opiates like oc, lortab, etc.

which has more acetaminophine lortab 10/500 or percocet 10/325 ## The Lortab you mentioned contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. The Percocet you mentioned contained 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Thus, the Lortab contains more of the Acetaminophen. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have randon drug testing at my work and while I am NOT addicted to anything I would like to have a scrip for pain meds just in case... ## Yes, they cannot deny you the use of legally prescribed medications, even if they are narcotics. The only exceptions to this would be for jobs where your being under the influence of something, such as narcotics, could endanger many other people, such as an airline pilot. However, Lortab contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone and since the Hydrocodone is a narcotic, it is isn't very likely that a doctor is going to prescribe it for you, just to have around in case. I would like to see a picture of this pill ## Hi Red, Referring to the Lortab "M361" blue capsule-shaped tablet, you can view a photo simply by running a search on google images for "Lortab M361", and it'll be one of the first photos you see on there. As far as the pill itself goes, the pill which you are describing contains Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone bitartrate (650 mg - 10 mg). They asked if we had any prescriptions and i put down lortab/past with my dentist but its been years since ive had a prescription will they call to make sure I was telling the truth?? I only took one sun morning from aching where I had the flu I didnt think of it as a drug because I dont do stuff like that I was just hurting. Our screen was at 930 mon morning ## They do have the right to have it verified, if they so choose and yes, in that case you may run into a problem since it wasn't a current prescription. The new privacy laws prevent them from asking specifics about your medical condition, but not from verifying the validity of any prescription you are taking. will lortab after being asborbed and processed in your body show up as didaudid? I was told lortab will be broke down and excreted as didaudid ## Technically, it should be detected as Hydrocodone, which is the active narcotic ingredient in it, however, the quality of the test used may cause problems. It may not necessarily show up as Dilaudid, but on the less expensive, non-certified tests, it may cause false a positive for other narcotic opiates. Are there any other questions or comments?

I am a 52 year old male, I recently shattered the lower part of my right tibia, it required that a long l shaped plate be attached to hold the pieces in place, after surgury I was given 2mg if IV morphene, which didnt seem to help much, the pain was very severe, when I ask for more main med I was told that if I was given any more I would stop breating and I was refused any furhter relief, have I bacame a sissy or was the dose way insufficiant,additionaly when I was sent home (after 2 days) I was given 10mg lortabs to be taken1 every 8 hours that dont seem right either, is it? ## Are you sure it was only a 2mg dosage? Can I take Lortab and Oxyelite Pro at the same time? ## OxyElite Pro is an over the counter product that is listed as containing caffeine, Bauhinia Purpurea L, Bacopa Monniera, Geranium, Cirsium Oligophyllum and Rauwolscine, so the interactions between it and prescription medications have not been tested as is done for actual medications. I did check between the Lortab and Caffeine and didn't find any problems lists, but I'd suggest checking with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain of the safety, before using it. took 1 lortab 5 2 days ago had a head ahch forgot urine test thursday night ## Like most other narcotics, the Hydrocodone in Lortab is detectable in a standard urine test for approximately 4 to 5 days, after last dosing. There is no way, however, to give a precise time frame, as it is always going to vary from person to person, depending on your individual metabolism, overall health, activity levels, fluid intake and etc. Is there anything else I can help with?

i took 2 10 mg loratab 1 monday 1 tuesday i have a drug test at 9 am in the morning will i pass? ## It is somewhat doubtful, most narcotics will take about 48 hours to completely clear out of your system, but it can vary, depending on how long you have been taking it and at how high of a dosage. If you have a prescription for the medication, then all you have to do is inform them of this, when you go in for the test. They cannot deny you the use of a legally prescribed medication. What is the highest dose of lartaps cuz i got 10s but it seems like it wasnt working then i got 7.5 then it kickedmme in the butt ## Lortab contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, while the Hydrocodone is a narcotic, there is a reason that Acetaminophen is also in them and part of that reason is due to the fact that it helps the narcotic work better. That said, how much Acetaminophen was in each of the tablets you took? ## You might also check to see if you were given percocet instead of lortab. Percocet sometimes works better for people than lortab though there are only slight differences. For me lortab works best. 10's are the highest.
