Percoset Patch

I have been prescribed Percoset 10/325 for about a year, before that was on Lortab 10/500 for 6 years, my new pain management doctor has mentioned that there is a new pain patch that contains oxycodone and asked if I would like to try it. I told him no for now because frankly it kind of worries me. I have been on opiates for so long that I am naturally addicted to them, I have a torn trapezius muscle, need a knee replacement which they won't do yet because they say I am too young, have sciatica and degenerative disk disease along with carpal tunnel, so I have legitimate reasons for being prescribed the pain meds, what I am worried about with the patch, is will I have withdraw symptoms since I am not physically taking the pills, also, I tried using the nicotine patch years ago and had to stop because I am allergic to the adhesive they use, has anyone used these new patches, any info would be much appreciated

I'm not familiar with any Oxycodone patch that is currently available on the market.

There is one that has been undergoing testing, but it isn't approved by the FDA and available publicly, yet.
