No heart problems otherwise. feedback appreciated ## The test should actually be reported twice more, a month apart each and then, if it stays low, your medication may need to be change and other tests done. I've had mine drop, before, due to dehydration. Once it was rectified, things returned to normal. There's also a chance that this drop to yours is just temporary, due to the Lisinopril, but may return to more normal levels as your body adjusts. However, the 55 was also sl...

I have been taking lisinopril for approximately 6 months over the last few weeks I have developed diarrhea associated with taking this. I am on no other meds. It has progressed to the point I feel I can not take this anymore. ## Hello, Tara! How are you? Yes, diarrhea is listed by the FDA among the possible side effects of Lisinopril. You may also experience headache, increased urination, dry cough, stomach pain and hypotension. Have you consulted your doctor? There are other medications you can try, it seems this one might not be the best one for you.

Can I take lisinopril if I have been taking lotrel? ## Hello, Cassie! How are you? Yes you can, as long as your doctor has instructed you to do so. However, you shouldn't take both at the same time, since both the Benzapril in the Lotrel and Lisinopril are ACE inhibitors. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

My doctor took me off Lisinopril htcz because I became severely dehydrated. He put me on Metoprolol 100 mg and Doxazosin Mesylate 2 mg and now I'm losing my hair after being on these drugs for about 2 mos. I need to get off these drugs asap, is there another drug for high blood pressure that will not cause hair loss? ## Hello, Jan! How are you? Hair loss is most commonly caused by Metoprolol, as listed by the FDA. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Yes, you can get Lisinopril without the HCTZ, you can also take it with the Doxazosin, if your doctor thinks you need more than one medication to bring your blood pressure down. Thus, it's definitely worth your asking them about it. The side effects for these are very simil...

I am taking half pill of phentermine to help me from craving food all the time and Lisinopril 20 mg in the am. My blood pressure went up to 175/90. I read that the diet pill can raise your blood pressure. Can I take another 20 mg at night? Will that help? ## Hello, Marijess! How are you? Is your doctor aware that you're taking Phentermine? If you have high blood pressure taking it could be dangerous, because it elevated both blood pressure and heart rate. You may also experience other side effects, as listed by the FDA, which could include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, nervousness and anorexia. And no, you shouldn't adjust your Lisinopril, without your doctor's approval. The FDA classifies it as an ACE inhibitor and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea...

Ive got high blood pressure and have been taking a small round pink pill but when i went to get my refill the pill is small but white and has what looks like a v on one side and the numbers 3972 on the other side. Im suppose to be taking 10 mg of lisinopril. Can you tell me what this pill is. I am so confused because of the different kinds of pills for my brand of medicine I take. Plus I also feel light headed, fuzzy and sick to my stomach. It probably dont have anything to do with this pill but just want to be on the safe side. Why do they make different kinds of pills for lisinopril 10 mg? ## The reason there are different pills available is because Lisinopril is a generic medication, not a name brand. The name brands would be Prinivil or Zestril. When a medication is available as a g...

The dr. changed my bp meds. from 20mgs of enalapril twice daily to 20 mgs lisinopril once a day. I'm afraid this is not strong enough to take my bp down. BP runs around 169/90. Had a brain stem stroke 3 yrs ago. ## Actually, Lisinopril is known to be stronger and have more beneficial effect than Enalapril, so it is normal to be given a lower dosage of it. Learn more Lisinopril details here. As to your blood pressure numbers, what else do you to do to lower them? Do you get lots of exercise and make sure not to eat a lot of sodium? ## Yes I'm on a low sodium diet. As far as exercise, I exercise the arm on the stroke side, but am still really unbalanced as far as walking. Thanks for the answer. ## My dr. just changed me from enilapril to lisinopril and plans to reduce the dosage o...

This has happened a few times over a month during my sleep. Tonite at a theater after sitting two hours. Extremely painful for 20 minutes. ## Hello, Pan! How are you? I'm very sorry about the cramping. HCTZ stands for Hydrochlorothiazide, which the FDA classifies as a diuretic, so it removes fluid from the body to help treat high blood pressure. So, there are two possible explanations, since the removal of fluid also causes potassium loss, you may be deficient in potassium; or you may be dehydrated if you're not taking in enough fluid to make up for the amount it is removing. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and stomach pain. Have you consulted your doctor? It would be best to do so, to determine the ...

How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. I think that your reflux is the most likely cause, but I am not a doctor. However, do you take anything to treat it? have been taking lisinopril for about two yrs . Am wanting to start estroven for menopausal symptoms... I read that black cohosh should not be taken with lisinopril. Anyone out there have any input on this? ## Hello, Kelly! How are you? The reason for that is due to the fact that Black Cohosh can also lower blood pressure, thus, it depends on where yours is with the Lisinopril and if your doctor approves of you taking it. In some case, it could cause it go too low, which may be dangerous. Lisinopril is classified by the FDA as an ACE inhibitor and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, increased urination and hypotension. I HAD A PRESCRIPTION FOR LISINIPRIL A PENTAGON SHAPED PILL I GOT A CVS . THEY USE ANOTHER MANUFACTURER NOW AND AM GETTING MANY SIDE AFFECTS. ## Hello, Lou! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Are you referring to the blue, hexagon shaped tablet with LL on one side and B01 on the other? If so, that isn't a regular Lisinopril tablet. It is manufactured by Lupin Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 12.5mgs of Hydrochlorothiazide and 10ms of Lisinopril. This adds a diuretic to help remove excess fluid from the body. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, increased urination and dehydration. If you weren't supposed to receive this combination medication, then you should report this to your pharmacy as ...

can i take vgr100 while taking lisinopril 10mg. please let me know ## Hello, Ocean! How are you? You shouldn't combine these, without your doctor's approval. Viagra can also lower your blood pressure, so combining it with the Lisinopril could cause your blood pressure to go too low and may put you in danger. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Viagra as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stuffy nose, blurred vision and priapism. The side effect to Lisinopril may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

Will headaches from lisinopril diminish. How long? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? The FDA classifies Lisinopril as an ACE inhibitor that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Along with headaches, other possible side effects may include nausea, dizziness, increased urination, stomach pain and hypotension. The side effects should taper off in time, as your body gets used to the medication, but it may take about 4 to 6 weeks. If the headaches get worse, or don't improve after that time period, then please consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was prescribed 10mg lisinopril for 30 days and I did respond well so my doc said she would continue the lisinopril for 3 months. When I picked up new prescription, I noticed the pills were blue, not pink, and they were 10-12mg. I am afraid to take these as I don't want to have an adverse reaction ## Hello, Shelly! How are you? I'd advise going back to your pharmacy to double check, I think they might have made an error. The ones that list 2 dosages like that are usually combination medications, so this one would most likely contain Lisinopril and Hydrochlorothiazide, so it could lower your blood pressure too much, or cause dehydration, since the Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic. The FDA lists possible side effects as including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination ...
