Need to know if lisinopril 10 mg by lupin mfg. is gluten free. I get cramps and stomach pains when first taking it. ## Hello, Nana! How are you? Lupin does list 2 types of corn starch among the inactive ingredients and, depending on the source, there's a chance that it could be contaminated with gluten, if it was processed in a factory that also does wheat products. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

My doctor placed me on lisinopril, which caused constant coughing, heart racing, anxiety, chest pain, belching and a lump-like feeling in my throat. She thought it might be an allergy reaction and so put me on losartan. The cough and chest pain were relieved, but the belching and lump-like feeling in my throat continued. Is there a common ingredient in both that might be responsible for this? Once off the losartan for a month, I was feeling 99% better, but BP started to rise again. I took half of a 25 mg tablet and within one hour the belching and throat discomfort returned. On a side note, I also have a reaction to Septa with severe nausea. ## There is a very good chance that the belching and lump like feeling in your throat are due to excess stomach acid, the medications may be contri...

small round pink pill with E101 marked on it. ## Hi Mary, I located an "oval" pink pill marked with E101, that is identified as Lisinopril 10mg, used for treating high blood pressure and heart failure. For verification, the pill itself is reported to be approximately 10 millimeters in size and is manufactured by Major Pharmaceuticals, with a National Drug Code of 0904-5808 I realized you mentioned that your pill was "round", but this is the closest match I could find; courtesy of NIH. I hope this helps!

What is this? It is Round, White with a 10 on one Side and flat and blank on other side. ## It just has a 10 on it? I think this is going to be really hard to narrow down, there are quite a few over the counter items with the number 10 on them that match this description. You could pay to have it lab tested, but that would be expensive. I am sorry, I wish I could be of more help. Was it found in the U.S.? ## Lisinopril 10mg ## Roughly 2 centimeters wide. Round, blank on one side, the number 10 on the other, no score mark or other markings.

has anyone experienced leg cramping while taking lisinopril? How long were you taking before the cramps started? Are the cramping in one or both legs? When does the cramping occur, at night or while walking or during exercise or some other time? Have you found anything to help with the cramping or did you stop taking the drug?Any other details you could provide would be great, thank you ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? Usually, leg cramping is caused by dehydration, a lack of potassium, or both, since once can lead to the other. It tends to be due to the fact that this medication can increase urinary output as a side effect. Others, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and hypotension. Have you consulted your doctor?

i was given a round, not oval, pink pill says e101 on it and manufacturer is Sandoz. Sandoz does not show a round pink pill for the 10 mg lisinopril on their website, only an oval one. Could i have been given the wrong pill? ## Wow! I got exactly the same thing yesterday and was just looking for answers. My last Lisinopril 10mg tablets were oval. These are round, by Sandoz and have the E 101 on them. The description on the bottle says "oval pink tablet". Did they just change the shape? I hope we find answers. I didn't take one tonight, but I did last night. I am going to call the pharmacist in the morning. It probably IS our Lisinopril but the shape was changed??? ## I just double checked the imprint/pill description and even though the shape is round instead of oval, what y...

I have been taking lisinopril 20mg - 2x for a long time. Earlier this year I was given carvedilol 6.25mg - 2x along with above. Shortly thereafter, I reduced the carvedilol ato 1x. A month ago my systolic bp rose. Dr. said to increase carvedilol by taking 2 a day. Upon doing this I started experiencing a rash and itching all over. Dr. then took me off this and prescribed metoprolol tar 25mg 2x with the same reaction of rash and itching and no improvement in bp. Why all the sudden reaction to these drugs? ## Hello, John! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're having. Both the Carvedilol and Metoprolol are classified by the FDA as beta blockers, so my best guess is that you may have developed an allergy to this medication category. This happens frequently, such as when s...

Is it possible the generic versions differ depending on which company produces the same pill. In Ohio, I took 40 mg. of Lisinopril and my BP was consistently 113/62. I moved to KY, now I take Lupin's 40 Mg Lisinopril and I cannot get my BP down past 140/75...what is going on? Nothing has changed except the manufacturer. My weight is the same, I eat the same. I cannot figure this out. ## Hello, Roz! How are you? Yes, there can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another. Alternatively, you may also have just become tolerant to the medication, so you may need a dosage adjustment or switch to a different medication. How long have you been taking it? Do you take any other medications? ## Same problem since Lupin has moved around. BP up. - no...
