I am looking for the name of a Laxative. They are hard deep red coloured round pills. Aprox 7mm across. It was a laxative but came off the shelves in the UK about 10-12 years ago. I heard they may have rebranded with a herbal version. They came in a foil blister pack. I think the outer packaging was green and the name began with a N although i cant be sure of this. ## Were they shaped like an american football? There is a medicine for stool softening agent, slightly gentler than a laxative, called colace that matches your description. it is sold over the counter in the USA, and you can research this to see if it matches what you seek.

shelcal 500mg as calcium suppliment in pregnancy ## Hello, Ponnu! How are you? It is just a calcium supplement, so it can be taken during pregnancy, as long as your doctor approves. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effect as being constipation. Were you told to take it by your doctor?

What is this pill?... Tiny round pink pill with DW on one side no score ## A round pink pill imprinted with DW is reported on pillbox.nlm.nih.gov to be a "Dulcolax Pink" (Bisacodyl) 5mg delayed release tablet. Bisacodyl is a type of laxative that works directly on the colon to promote bowel movements. For verification, the size of this particular pill is listed as 6.00 millimeters and it's manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. I hope this helps!

I started on the lower dosage 2 weeks ago, and I didn't go the whole week. Doctor bumped me up to the 290 dosage and have only had 2 very small bms a little loose. That is it! I keep reading about how everyone is getting diahhrea several times a day. I take it every morning 30 minutes to one hour before I eat or take any other medicine. It's like everything has stopped working. Even hard to pass gas. My stomach is distended and I have rumbling, but nothing coming out. Do I just continue to take and wait for it to work? So far, not very impressed with Linzess! ## I'm sorry about the problem you're having. Are you making sure to take it a full glass of water? Unfortunately, this medication doesn't work for everyone that tries it. The FDA lists its typical side effects ...

I found them in the bottom my meds bag. I must have took them for something. . maybe a supplement? They are im printed with M6M6 or 9393 or 9M9M the M is on its side and looks like the roman numeral for 1000 ## I have the same pill found in my elderly mothers colace bottle. Do you know what it is? ## Hi Jim, Just wondering if your elderly mother had any recollection of what this might be or what it's supposed to be? I tried looking up "colace" which comes in either blue, red/white or green packaging, but they don't show you what the actual pill looks like. Apparently though the blue package contains capsules, the red/white package contains soft gels, and the green package contains tablets. Could the capsule be dark blue by chance? I suppose as a last resort it might be a...

I took my first dose of Prepokik 9.5 hours ago (10PM) and it has produced one minor bowel movement, nothing resembling the results I have had with other preps. Second dose is due in about three hours. I have had nothing but clear liquids since yesterday afternoon. My appointment is for 2:30 today, but if there is not more cleansing before then, I can't imagine I can proceed with it. The preparation was certainly easier to take than other preparations I have had, but the slow, weak action probably outweighs the benefits. Even if it ends up working (and it had better, soon!), being up all night worrying is worse than taking an old-fashioned, bad tasting prep and just getting it over with. If I have to cancel, I will have to fast and try this over again. I will ask for another prep nex...

I have a tiny odd green color tablet, one side has a half mark and the other side has the letters SENTILAX on it. I was given this at a mexico pharmacy for constipation. ## Did you perhaps mean to say "Gentilax" as opposed to Sentilax? Gentilax is a laxative drug manufactured in Mexico; used to treat constipation. It is said to contain 60mgs of Phenolphthalein; a homeopathic agent. The oral recommended dose is one to two laxative tablets, but its capacity is adjusted by increasing or decreasing the amount. I hope this information helps! ## Gentilax is definitely a laxative tablet. It does indeed have a line on the back of it that you can use to cut the tablet in half. This is useful if you need to take a dosage of a tablet and a half of it instead of two tablets.

I am now using them for intestinal spasms ## The side effects do not necessarily change when you combine medications, however, some can intensify the side effects in a synergistic manner. For instance, since the mineral oil can treat constipation, combining it with the Dulcolax may cause diarrhea and loose bowels. Urobicid contains the active ingredient Norfloxacin, this is an anitbiotic. One of its side effects is diarrhea, so you may run into some severe bowel problems if you use all of these together. Baralgin contains Metamizole, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation. Do you have any other questions? ## What if you combine mineral oil with baralgin . I just did a hemorrhoids operation ## I would use the minera...

With the constipation you are feeling now, it is better to drink more water. I am not sure the compatibility of the medicines you have been taking for the moment. Try to have this herbal supplement from the Digestic by Mimonis which is very fit in relieving constipation problem. No need to worry as it is purely organic.

For a while Correctol was unavailable while the manufacturer changed ownership. Correctol is now owned by Bayer and the website says Correctol is available again. However, I have not yet seen it return to my local store shelves in the USA. Correctol.com ## Hello, Ken! How are you? For anyone else looking, the active ingredient in Correctol is Bisacodyl and it is available over the counter in many other products as store brands and generic laxatives. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, bloating, abdominal cramping and diarrhea. Is there anything I can help with? ## When Correctol was first introduced back in early 1958, it was formulated with Phenolphthalein and Docusate Sodium. Now it is made with Bisacodyl only. I want to know if Y-Lax produced by Bakson has any side effects? How long can it be taken? Does it become addictive for people above 70 yrs of age? ## Although most homeopathic preparations tend to have little to no side effects, I did find info stating that "the symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Phenolphthalein are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Abdominal cramps, Skin RashX, Eruptions, Colic, Erythema multiforme, Epidermal necrolysis." "The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Phenolphthalein include Diarrhea, Pulmonary edema, Hypoglycemia, Pancreatitis." I take gentilax recently but I'm scared of reading all this reviews about the carcinogenic effect that this homeopathic pill has. Can someone explain me a little bit more of this? should i still take it? BEST ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE. ## Replying to lopes isabel: In the 1990's scientists overdosed laboratory rats giving them dosages of phenolphthalein hundreds and thousands of times higher than what a human would normally take. In my opinion, this slanted the findings of their tests. Just look in the past times that since phenolphthalein was first used as a laxative in 1906, millions upon millions of people have taken it over the years and they've been perfectly fine. I've had many friends and family members who used phenolpthalein laxatives regularly back in the days when i...
