I'm sorry to say but yes SOMA does show up in a routine drug test I went to my P M dr and did a urine test I do 1 every month but this month he said something showed up and he sent it to the lab and sure enough the nurse called and said it showed I had SOMA in my system and dr wanted to know where I was getting it from I denied it and asked what do we do now she said she would check with the dr but haven't heard from them since so I have been cleaning out and doing a lot of praying that was Monday and today is Wednesday and I haven't heard anything from them so I'm Hopeing I'm ok now

I was on probation, pee'd in a cup every month, and the soma never showed up. So when you say "routine"....thats not necessarily so. Your doctor probably did an 8, 10 or 12 panel test. While im thinking that the probation departments budget may have only provided for a 5 panel test. A 5 panel test only shows opiates, marijuana, coke, methamphetamine and pcp or lsd. So no benzos or sedatives. Hence my test not showing soma. Good luck, hope it works out for you.

They're lying. Soma will only show for soma. These people used opiates to show opiates. I'm on drug court and i do 21panel test. Don't believe an addict that still actively uses. Soma can only be confirmed by positive confirmation.

It's very late reply I know, but if you are still having issues with anxiety or achey pains, get some Passion Flower extract, preferably in a liquid form. They will have it at any health food store. It's an herb. It helps tremendously. I wouldn't have ever been able to detox or even deal daily afterwards without it. Been months and I still take it daily and it's still works wonders.

Hello I just had to go take a hair follicle as well as a DOT urinalysis and I recently took one soma last week. My question is will it show up on the tests

depends on whether they test for it or not. if its a 5 panel test, most likely no. if its a 12 panel, then yes. ive never had a hair follicle test, so....? but it mostly depends on how many "panels" your test is. in other words, how many categories of drugs they are testing for.

I have no idea, but the more "panels", the more likely. They were only doing a 5 panel on me, and it did NOT show up, but a 10 panel, if i had to guess, i would say YES. The basics of the 5 panel are what they call "drugs of abuse": opiates, marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines and LSD or PCP. As they add panels, they add more prescription drugs like benzos/tranquilizers, barbiturates etc... so with a 10 panel, the soma showing up is a good possibility.

Wow, how do you walk or drive on that much medication! And as far as the question is Soma a narcotic the answer as far as in Florida YES SOMA IS A NARCOTIC. They are abused because the high is like ludes that were taken back in the 70s. If you take 3or4 they hit you like a rock! And if you take them with grapefruit juice it even intensifies it even more! As far as drug tests I don't know. Good luck and be careful with the somas!

according to the DEA (federal government), somas are NOT a narcotic.

Soma isn't a narcotic. But.... It is listed as a controlled substance I know for a fact in several States. I don't think all of them but its potential for abuse has been noted, i.e. "Houston Coctail" (Vicodin+Zanax+Soma) which has caused a fatal outcome many times due to "Respiratory Depression Qualities" of these 3 medications, and has been popular for years; and TX, TN, WV, VA has it scheduled the same as with benzodiazapines. Anybody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on the states, TN and WV definitely, WV even treats clonopine this way.

yes, soma is a controlled substance. i think many people get "controlled substance" and "narcotic" confused. all narcotics are also controlled substances, but not all controlled substances are narcotics.

Tramadol is on also listed in the CS list. Next they'll be listing Lyrics, Celebres, Baclofen, hell if Motrin would make you dizzy they'd list it. I'm being sarcastic. The problem is the govt. U.S., County, State government is already going crazy due to overdoses the worse being kids under 18. I've seen 2-3 deaths because parents leaving medications accessible to them, as well as dealers (Regardless of age). Don't punish doctors unless they're running pill mills, punish dealers,. But we'd half to have more jails. My friends daughter is an undercover "C.I.", which I despise, because they get a slap on the wrist for ALL criminal activity, still allowed to abuse drugs. She's not allowed in my house. I'm not a dealer or anything, its a matter of respect /honor.

Nashville. TN, NM is notorious for letting people do this due to fines they receive. Its all about money and the wrong people are being punished. Anyway there will be more heavier restrictions on medications including but not limited to: Oxycontin / Oxycodone, Dilaudid, Morphine, Fentanyl. This is hurting LEGITIMATE patients and Doctors!! Dealers are preying on the elderly, disabled especially due to a decrease in income SS, SSDI, WELFARE and an increase in living costs. Fix the medications where they CAN'T be "abused". Make all pain medications Extended Release / uncrushable, only allow injectable meds in the hospital, and emergency settings, stiffer penalties for 1st time dealers, unauthorized use by people with no medical necessity for narcotics/CS.

Going through legal litigation due to dips*** DPS blood test showing "traces" of barbiturates which I have NEVER been given. Lawyers chemical analyst says JUST 1 SOMA WILL SHOW TRACES OF A BARBITURATES. AND THAT'S ALL I TAKE 2X a day. I'M CALLING BS ON PEOPLE THAT SAY IT DOESN'T. I'M BEING EXHAUSTED OF SAVINGS TO GET THE S*** OFF MY RECORD!

xdoc: that all sounds like a lovely utopia....but do you realize how many people are kept employed by drugs being "out there"? doctors, cops, lawyers, counselors, border agents/pharmaceutical companies.....hell, the people who make canned food for prisons/hospital/institutions! come on....

im not even saying i dont agree with you, but its just like those who say "legalize/decriminalize ALL drugs". with the exception of marijuana, that will NEVER happen. too many peoples livelihoods depend on drugs being illegal. but JUST illegal enough to where they are still out there....battening them down all the way, or making them completely legal? those things are never going to happen. the system works just how its supposed too.... whole industries kept employed and running dealing with drug addicts, drug dealers, all of it. its just the way it is.
