I have no idea about it showing up in drug test but I will tell you that it is a narcotic all you have to do is ask Google is soma a narcotic and it will tell you it is a narcotic muscle relaxer that is cautiously prescribed especially in patients taking narcotic pain relievers

You didn't say "when" you were gonna be U.A.'ed- but mentioned every 2 wks. Well.. It all depends on your liver, it's condition. IF you have Hep. C; or your liver is compromised in some way, it could take a week to leave your system. IF your liver is good, it should only take 3 days. Good Luck! *Been there, done that! *

I am tested weekly at a clinic. I take Somas daily. They do not show up on any drug screen unless specifically tested for. You're fine. You will pass the test. For somas anyway.

look it up on wiki. narcotics are OPIATES. soma is a controlled substance, which is not the same.

I would think that since heroin is derived from opium, that it would show up as an opiate? No clue, but with all of the abuse/overdoses, etc. going on, I cannot see a doc not testing for heroin.

no, as of that date, soma is considered a CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. which is not the same as a NARCOTIC.

first of all, it may be out of your system by today, it may not. depends on your metabolism, how much water you drink and other factors. BUT....soma isnt something that would normally be considered grounds for being fired or being disqualified from a job. pre-employment screenings usually are all about illegal drugs: marijuana, coke, heroin etc. they usually dont include prescriptions. especially things that arent considered "prescriptions of abuse". opiates, benzos, barbiturates.....those would be your typical prescriptions of abuse. soma is a fairly common prescription for muscle spasms and back pain. hell, i have a script for soma for my fibromyalgia leg pain! im not saying you are 100% safe, but i would be surprised if you got popped for somas. good luck and let us know what happens. i would be quite interested to know. knowledge is power.

Soma does not show in a 5 or 7 panel test they have to specifically test for soma. For many years it was not considered a narcotic but in 2012 it became a schedule 4 (similar to tylonol 4's schedule) but most places don't even know what it is or what to charge u with if it shows. Last time I was on probation for 2 years and took somas everyday and they never charged me for violation. I also just caught another case and I had all types of meds on me and they charged me for possession of norco Xanax opana but I had 57 Somas and they did not charge me for them but when they did a blood screen it showed high levels of it in my blood

Somas which contain the drug Carisoprodol are now classified as a narcotic. They where classified as a controlled substance but not a narcotic until a few years ago.

yep. if they do more complete drug tests, like 12+panel, thats what it would show up as, a benzodiazepine. it is a muscle relaxer with sedative/hypnotic (benzo) properties. and it is NOT A NARCOTIC.
