I think it may be due to helmenthetic(krimiroga). You may take Alben D/ Bendy plus 2 or 3 tablet ..1 daily . I think ayurveda m...

I suffer from IC. My urologist said this was once used for seizures? However he said that it may help control all the spasms I have associated with interstitial cystitis. Any info helpful. Thanks! ## Hello, Rinrin! How are you? Dicyclomine is approved to treat intestinal hyper motility and the symptoms of IBS. It relieves spasms and cramping in the GI tract. I am not, however, aware of it ever being used to treat seizures, only GI issues. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dry mouth, nausea and dizziness. Have you tried it, yet? ## i pray you get this answer. i took that medication because my intestines were spasming causing vomiting and the pain was sooo bad but this med helps so much when my intestines go to start flaring rubbin against each other im dry heav...

What is the best way to stop taking Librax for a sleepy senior citizen and long-time Librax user? ## Hello, Tara! How are you? Has the patients doctor instructed them to stop taking it? After being on it for so many years, it is likely best to do a gradual taper, by slowly lowering the dose, while skipping doses. Their doctor should be able to help them set up a proper taper schedule. As listed by the FDA, a sudden stop could result in rebound effects, such as abdominal pain, cramping and constipation.

what is the equivalent to this medication my husband took it in Jamaica and it worked great with no side effects he is now in the USA and after two months of excrutiating pain and twelve medications later we are still at square one we are looking for the equivalent of the medication BaralginM ## Hello, Schelle! How are you? According to the FDA, Baralgin-M contains Metamizole. It is classified as an analgesic and antispasmodic. However, it has been withdrawn from the market here in the U.S. due to concerns over its safety. It has been known to cause severe allergic reactions, especially in people with asthma, that may include anaphylaxis. What medications has he tried?

Recently found out that Generic Librax is available at Sam's Club and the price for 60 pills, was approx $93.00. Cheapest place I have found. ## not bad... But somewhere there's better :) ## Prices are always subject to change and could certainly be more or less somewhere else on the planet. At least you found an affordable rate to continue getting your meds. Places like Sam's Club and Costco are great for that if you're already a member. Some of the other prices I've seen people pay for the same thing are quite astronomical compared to what you payed. $109, $139.00, and even as much as $364.30 are some of the numbers that come up for 60 tablets of the brand name. Were you using insurance or a drug savings card as well? ## Hi. To anyone who is in need of Librax w/ cl...

I have lung cancer, COPD, high blood pressure, heartburn, stomach pain, bladder pain and burning, urinary infections, and vaginal dryness and pain and yeast infections. I take pantoprazoloe, lisinop/HCTZ, symbicort, proair, Tylenol, and reclast infusion once a year. The bladder Dr. has given me chlord clidi for my bladder pain and burning. I am worried to take this as it is habit forming and if it will cause problems with my meds and health problems. I wonder if there is a better meds or something better to do for my problems. ## Hi Sylvie, Sorry to hear about your situation. According to umm.edu's drug interaction checker, there are no interactions listed between Librax (chlordiazepoxide and clidinium) & the following medications: Tylenol (acetaminophen) + Lisonopril/Hydrochlor...

I was prescribed Librax for severe diarrhea and hiatal hernia. The drugstore gave me two vials - one looked like the ones I had been precribed years ago... The other vial contained capsules (they said they didn't have enough of the other) which were white with the imprint 814 on them. The manufacturer is Acella. Did they make a mistake? I couldn't find them on the typical pill finders on the internet. ## Was this in the U.S.? Have you double checked with the pharmacy? I have searched all of our resources and can't find anything listed for Librax, with that marking. Acella has purchased several other smaller pharmaceutical companies, so there is a chance that this may be something from one of them, that is new to the market and isn't listed, yet. They recently acquired Pa...

I took pill 3 hours ago and i am in the same amount of pain if not more than when i went to hospital. Could i possibly been misdiagnosed with ibs. ## Hello, Jess! How are you? Well, this isn't actually an analgesic, so it's not going to relieve pain. What Hyoscyamine does is help alleviate the intestinal spasms associated with IBS and other gastrointestinal disorders, but it will take some time for it to reach its full level of efficacy in your body. You should only take it as prescribed and give a few weeks, to see if it works for you. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dry mouth, blurred vision, dizziness and flushing. Is there anything else I can help with?

Been diagnosed with Globus and prescribed Levbid. Can I take it if I have a history if Wolff Parkinson White disease? ## Hi tammy, From what I've researched, Parkinson's does not appear to be listed as a contraindication in patients taking Levbid (Hyoscyamine). However for your own reference, I'd recommend taking a look at the contraindications mentioned in the .gov link below just in case there are any other possible discrepancies that need to be pointed out: dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?setid=9899c4b5-e520-41f3-9dbf-e7da12924dd8 On the other hand, I don't think a doctor would even prescribe something to you that you shouldn't be taking due to another type of medical condition or risk factor. Medical professional do make mistakes, but he/she should...

Just had gallbladder removed and had papillary stenosis which they perform a sphinctoromy. This illness started at the end of July. Gallbladder out 5 weeks ago. Sphinctoromy 1 week ago. I went from 132 to 118 from July till now. How can I gain my weight back? ## Hello, Kay! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you've had. Do you have any dietary restrictions, since having the surgery? It will likely just be a matter of time, making sure that you eat good, healthy meals frequently. Rather than just 3 times a day, you may want to eat more often, if your doctor approves. I've found that nuts, like almonds, tend to help me a lot, when my weight drops and my cardiologist highly approves of my eating them, since they have many health benefits. Does anyone else have any a...

Why Is There A Shortage Of Donnatal Extentabs? I am told that there is a back order until June 2013. How is this possible? ## According to the FDA, there are no current shortages of Donnatal Extendtabs. You can see for yourself here: fda.gov/Drugs/DrugSafety/DrugShortages/ucm314739.htm Perhaps the back-order was only associated with the specific pharmacy you went to? ## I too have been on Donnatal Extend tabs for 5 years and the shortage began in November of 2012. My pharmacy swept other pharmacy's in the area and were able to hold 180 pills for me that I made last until July 2013. Donnatal's website even states, "Due to production issues there will be short term supply constraints on Donnatal® Extentabs. Both Donnatal® Tablets and Donnatal® Elixir are still a...

Does anyone know how to make safe parasitic worms to treat these? I need details - i know it requires a pig? {edited for privacy} - Please do not lecture me about the legality and dangers. I just need honest scientific advice on how to grow these, clean and sterile.... Thanks a lot for your help - Sally ## Hi Sally, The concept of using parasites to treat IBS and Crohns is new to me and I'm curious as to where/how you first came to know about this type of treatment modality? I will say that in my honest opinion, nothing about using parasites (especially from swine) sounds safe at all. It actually makes more sense to me to supplement with probiotics and digestive enzymes that are notoriously known to be beneficial for your gut instead of something that's not (i.e. parasites). And...

I found a white pill it has just the number 10 and a split on the other side to half it I can't find it anywhere on the internet to figure what this is do u have any idea of what it could be ## @kailani, Based on your description, information I'm finding shows that a round white pill marked with the number 10 on one side and scored on the other is identified as a 0.125 mg Hyoscyamine sulfate tablet, manufactured by Virtus Pharma. Hyoscyamine is generally prescribed for treating disorders associated with the gastrointestinal tract, but lists a variety of other uses as well from bladder spasms, irritable bowels, heart conditions, parkinson's, etc... I have had intestinal gas for some time: asked my primary care doctor whether there was something simple I could take as I had read that over-the counter meds were not safe. He prescribed dicyclomine 10 mg nightly. The list of side effects sound daunting. What do you recommend? I am quite elderly. ## Hello, Tomyris! How are you? This isn't going to help with gas, as a matter of fact, in other countries, they combine it with an antiflatulent medication to present a medication that helps with more symptoms. This works as a smooth muscle relaxer for the intestines to treat intestinal hypermotility and IBS. Unless you have some medical condition or are on medications that causes them to be contraindicated, over the counter products, such as Simethicone, are generally considered safe. It...

I had my colon removed and now have a J-pouch. My stool is almost always runny and I take bulk laxative along with bentyl and imodium. During the day there is no problem but nights I set my alarm clock every 2 hours so I don' mess myself or the bed. Would the Tenture of opium help at night and is it addictive? I am a diabetic on an insulin pump. ## What has your doctor advised? Opium tinctures can be addictive and cause serious side effects, so they should never be used without your doctor's approval. ## I was in the same situation as you, and have a J-pouch as well. I took Tincture of Opium for about 7 years. It does help at night time, slightly. There will still be issues, but it's main benefit I experienced was the fact that I would actually sleep, rather than constantly ...

This removal makes no sense to me, as you can still get ( mostly) the liquid mixture! Of course it's much more difficult to travel with, and may leak! Frankly, I've been infuriated by the removal of a drug I desperately need, with little or nothing to replace it. I get severe Esophageal Spasms, and never know when they are going to strike! They truly do feel like having a heart attack too, but if you go to the hospital, all you get is a name for yourself as drug- seeking....no matter how necessary the medication is! I find the whole thing ridiculous and more of a punishment than anything else. I fail to understand the FDA's thinking on this and other issues, as they've been safely used for many years. Any info on replacements or reinstatement would be greatly appreciated...
