Dicyclomine Uses

I suffer from IC. My urologist said this was once used for seizures? However he said that it may help control all the spasms I have associated with interstitial cystitis. Any info helpful. Thanks!

Dicyclomine is approved to treat intestinal hyper motility and the symptoms of IBS. It relieves spasms and cramping in the GI tract.

I am not, however, aware of it ever being used to treat seizures, only GI issues.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dry mouth, nausea and dizziness.

Have you tried it, yet?

i pray you get this answer. i took that medication because my intestines were spasming causing vomiting and the pain was sooo bad but this med helps so much when my intestines go to start flaring rubbin against each other im dry heaving its a bad pain but yes it will relax whatever is spasming .. best wishes be well
