I take 1.0 mg of klonopin a day and as prescribed and it is not showing up in my urine test. The Doctor that prescribes my medication thinks that I am not taking it. Has anyone ever heard of this and if so what could be the reason for it not showing up in my urine test? The Doctor accused me of not taking my medication he prescribed. Yet offers no reason why it does not show in my urine.

Hooray!!!!! Someone finally pointed out that this question has been answered over, and over, and over, and over again!!! I also take clonopin and it doesn't show up on a traditional straight positive or negative test, but it DOES show up when they put it through a mass spec machine! It will show the exact level of metabolites you have in your urine. I take 1 mg a day and it shows up as that. I know this for a FACT because I've seen my drug test results both ways. You can't fool a mass spec machine! If you have Ativan or Oxycodone in your urine it did, in fact, go in your mouth! End of subject.

I take 9 mg of clonopin a day And my doctor gave me a drug pee test and she said that she found ativan in my system but the only time that I had ativan was at the e.r. threw a I.v. and it wasn't even given around the same time as the drug screen was done is this possible cause there both benzo

I also take klonopin and it doesn't show on urine tests. I don't know why though. I take 1mg daily, but it shows as negative on my tests. I can tell you that if your doctor doesn't think you are taking it he can send you urine off to have it tested to break it down to show how much is in your urine and it will show on that test. It did on mine!

Yes, I know, when you take smaller amounts of clonazepam, it isn't going to show up, but it's been more than 1 year on the same dosage, sometimes I don't feel it, sometimes I do feel it. I talked to my counselor, she keeps saying that before it was showing and for the last 6 months more or less isn't showing but others it is, last friday I have to proved them that the urine was mine, I told them all the research I've made, etc... To me is more simple to understand why before was showing and now isn't showing all the time, but when this doctors, counselors just keep on telling me all the time that isn't right, that it doesn't make sense, it got me really mad, six months I've been trying to talk, explain what to me obviously is happening! Thank you for your answers, I wanted to double check what I thought it was happening, good luck! And yes sometimes benzoids and depending of your body tolerance, habits, etc could be a little tricky and sometimes is psychological. I've been on them for 28 years !!

That's exactly what has been happening to me!! I'm on clonazepam 0.5 , 3 pills a day, maximum doses 4 pills when my anxiety is very high, it never happened to me before! I'm a recovery addict for almost a year, before I was on xanax, deadly amounts, for the last one year and a half after a detox etc.. started to take clonazepam and for the very first time in my life NOW THAT IM TAKING MY MEDICATION, WITHOUT EXCEEDING MY DOSAGE! At my methadone clinic my counselor says that sometimes is not showing in my urine, last time she told me that now my psychiatry wants to talk to me!! There's no way I won't take my medication. Because of my anxiety I just CAN'T go out to the street without it ! To be honest, sometimes I don't feel it at all, and another days I feel it and works very well! I'm starting to think that clonazepam or any pills now, are been sold diluted or old! Is that possible?! I need to prove at my clinic that I'm telling the truth!

My doctor's office just called to say all my meds will be discontinued for three "negative" klonopin UA's. I take .5 mg daily. Everyday. I've been on same meds over six years and I am quite worried & confused. I know they are false "negative" but they don't seem to care about following up. I offered to take a pill in office & have test done after. I asked about any kits I could buy to test these klonopin. I am so scared, how will I function with no meds? Bipolar, PTSd, Anxiety, Hashimatos...... Wish me luck. :/

Bad advice. This is a form of self-harm. Anyone reading, please don't try to get back at a doctor who is simply reading a test that he didn't conduct. Work WITH your doctor to prove (sorry but this is how trust is built) you're compliant, then be done with it and still maintain your necessary medication(s).

LOW LEVELS of KLONIPIN does NOT show up on average tests!! Did you get that??! Because of how it's broken down in your system!! A HIGH TECH testing is (so far) the ONLY WAY to find the level it takes to have finding the drug in your system!!!!!! I have found that ORIGINALLY, by my own DR. to find out why it was NOT showing up in MY test.... It is UP TO YOU to advise YOUR Dr. to test in a more advanced testing facility.... OR BE SICK!!! NOW, is there ANYTHING you do not UNDERSTAND???!!!! IF this SAME problem keeps coming up.... all YOU had to do is RELAY this to your Dr., I am getting tired of giving out the ANSWER to this, only to have come RIGHT BACK..... I hear ya, I couldn't believe it, I received a certified letter today from my doctors office, they were not treating me no more .I had to go else where, after being with them since 98. I was very close to him and trusted him, could talk about anything, He knew me better then me. But theres one thing I cant handle , being called a lier. They drug tested me and said there was no sign of Klonopin or flexeril. I have to take me klonopin every day for my anxiety. I have terriable anixiety. I take 1 mg twice a day and he and I just talked about it and he said I could take one during the day if I needed it. I do take them , every day1 @am and 1 @ pm and some times one during the day. Now no doctor, after loosing my mom , I was on xannax and they took me off of it because I did od on purpose. They replaced it with the Klonopin and now kicking me out because its not showing up. I am all already getting anxiety attacks , thinking about trying to find another doctor. what the hell does some one do.
