I need a list of all medications containing hydrocodone. My husband was given a blood test at the hospital to check what he had in his system. When the blood test came back he had hydrocodone in his system. However this is the problem because he has been prescribed by a doctor to receive Roxicodone 30 mg and Oxycotin 80mg. As far as I knew Vicodine contained hydrocodone but not the two medications he was and is currently prescribed? I just need to make sure that he isn't getting the wrong medication or that the hospital is testing the right samples!

My doctor prescribed the liquid hydrocodone/APA 7.5-500mg/15ml to me for pain. The pharmacy label says to take 1 TEASPOON every 6 hours. This seems unusual given that this dosage seems to be most often given in 15ml doses as opposed to the 5ml in a teaspoon. I took it as the label recommended and honestly can't tell a bit of difference. Is it possible that the pharmacy mislabeled? Based on what I have read, I should be safe to 15ml at a time, right? I can not take any NSAIDs due to being a gastric bypass patient and there is too much of a risk of a bleed with these drugs.. I am already on hydrocodone so I can not take any other narcotic analgesics. Is there any other non narcotic chronic pain reliever out there to supplement the hydrocodone. Can't take tramadol now because NYS classified this as a narcotic. My doctor is going crazy trying to find something for me and has had no luck so far. ## Why can't you take another narcotic? I have taken Lorecet 10 for quite sometime. They were always blue in color but the last time I got them they were made by Watson and were white. I have nonstop itching with the white. So far, they claim to have only removed the dye, but many people are reporting experiencing odd side effects, or less effectiveness, which makes it seem that more has been changed. I need to know if hydrocodone ibuprofen expires? the prescription was filled 10/11/2010..will it be safe or effective? ## To answer your question, yes these medications do have an expiration date, but it may be a lot farther away than you might expect. According to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. I have been prescribed 5/325 due to a possible meniscus and ACL tear. It is not doing anything for the pain. I was taking Meloxicam which also did not help. I am limited to what I can take due to an inflamed Duodenum. I really have to watch NSAIDS. Any recommendations? Just deal with it till I see ortho? ## Hi, Joelle! Sorry that you're in pain. I feel like my bite has been affected let alone I can't chew on that side of my mouth. I'm also told my wisdom tooth will need to be pulled which is right next to crown awaiting tooth. Hydrocodone is Great for pain after a root canal! ## Hi Bob, Glad to hear that the Hydrocodone is really helping your pain. From what I hear, the combination of Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen seems to be a common choice for many post operative dental procedures. I believe 10mg is also highest you can get for this particular medication, so I'm guessing the pain is probably pretty severe without this high of a dose. I took 4 -5 325 milligram hydrocodone that had an accident about 12 hours after the taking of last one. I use it for pain relief after lumbar spinal fusion for L5-S1. My pain is in the right leg this time and is worse at night. The increased pain at night could simply be an indication that you're beginning to build up a tolerance to this medication's effects....

However, this is a medication called Vicoprofen, which contains 200mgs of Ibuprofen with the Hydrocodone. What is the difference between the two medicines that I have listed above. I get sick to my stomach when I took the 10-ITP.
