How To Get Off Suboxone (Page 26)

Updated

Im Marina Im 24 years old and a mother of 2 beautiul little boys. From the years 2006-2007 i was heavily addicted to Oxy 80 and eventually started doing herion. I got help in sep.2007 at a methadone clinic, it worked for as long as i was on the methadone i had NO relapse's. In June 2009 i was completly off of the methadone that first day that i was on 0Mgs I went through extreme withdrawls i went through things that i would never wish upon my worst enemy! i stayed that way for a day and a half and decided to go to a suboxone doctor. He put me on 32 mgs a day which i thought was pretty high of a dose but he explained to me that methadone withdrawls was worst then any other withdrawls. so i trusted him. Now when i go to see him every month i pretty much beg for him to start the weining process and start lowering me and he pretty much refuses. After months of being on 32mgs a day he finally started tapering me down slowly, i never really thought any thing of it till now but i realized he's keeping me on the suboxne for as long as posible so that he can get my $200.00 a month. all he is, is a legal drug dealer bc now im highly addicted to the suboxone. I recently had to go a few days with out my suboxone bc i didnt have the money to see him and i went through hell. i thought methadone withdrawl was bad OMG there is no comparison. i wanted to either use which i havent done in years or rip my face off lol its funny now but it definatley wasnt funny a few days ago while i was feeling that way! So i spoke to a good friend whos going through the same thing and he told me that they just came out with a new pill to get you off suboxone. I just want to know if that's true. I tryed googleing it but i cant find any thing. If you have heard of this new pill please respond or if you even have a good way to get off soboxone as painless and posible... thanx

Thank you so much. I'm stuck on these and want off so bad. Drs visit $250.00, strips 8.00 a piece. I cannot afford it.

Lala thank you for your feedback. I'm curious if anyone else has had nighttime eating on the Suboxone. I've been treating it with some fancy therapy which isn't changing it and I think it's because it's the Suboxone causing the cravings. It's such a powerful drug, and I tend to be in denial of that because it's physically so small. Wow, it's powerful! I don't regret going on it though.
Have a good weekend everyone! We can do this!

Blondie, I think you should be able to find a doctor who doesn't charge $250 for every appointment! Usually the initial assessment is very expensive, but following appointments shouldn't cost that much. I suggest that you either ask them to give you a sliding scale fee based on your ability to pay. If they won't do that, maybe another doc will. Most true healers will make allowances for this. I'm concerned that if you just stop taking the Suboxone you will get back on the opiates, because they are cheap and will take you out of detox.
Onward and Upward!

Hey Monkey, I don,t really suffer with the night time eating but I have developed a sweet tooth while on subs. I noticed this last time I was on them also. It,s like I can,t get enough chocolate. I get those bags of mini chocolate bars and its gone in no time at all. It shows around my waistline.

Monkey, first visit is $250 cash, all other visits $200 cash. I told him I wanted off them and he just looked at me like why would want that. I've gotten down this far, I'm going to try to do it. As far as opiates, up here it's really hard to get them.
I'm on permanent disability from worker's comp. and they won't even give me
vics, percs, nothing. I'm so sick of all this stuff, I wish I never started with thiese
subs. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

My first visit was $500 but now all visits are $100. I was told that a dr can only see 500 patients per month for the suboxone program and they have to take 8hr more training to treat addiction thats why its so expensive this infomation came from the addiction class that im taking it is very informative.

Some people do have a detox when they go on Suboxone. I did. I was told I wouldn't, but I became VERY depressed and it lasted for days. My doctor told me it was withdrawal/detox.

I've been following your posts and am very interested in your plan as I've been trying to taper off myself. I was an oxy/H user for 4 years but have been on silicone for about 7 years. Started 16 mg a day then cut down to 12 about 18 months ago. In the past month I've cut down to 6mg a day and have a months worth left. I'd be ecstatic to hear your plan as I'm flying blind right now. My email address is {edited for privacy}

There was a young guy on the news that used H for awhile and said that ibogaine helped him. He didn't have any withdrawals and was back home in a few days. Ibogaine is banned from the U.S. , so this kid found a clinic in Mexico. He said that it all came to $7000.00. That's with treatment and airfare, and what not. I would do it if I didn't have a toddler to look after. So, if any of you need some options, you can look into that. Ibogaine is a hallucinogenic drug. I heard its suppose to reset your brain chemistry. Plus, the chances of relapsing are slim. Good luck to you all!!

umm the easiest way is to do it on your own. Just go to a psychiatrist and they will give you a script. I've done it. The doctors in the clinics tend to give you the highest dose possible so you keep coming back. In other words they substitute one opiate with another. Its a scam in most educated peoples opinion. No doubt the clinic will put you on upwards of 16+ mg which is absolutely ridiculous. My doctor wanted me to take two 8mg pills, but I was smarter then that so bit the bullet and only took 4mg from the start. And I was shooting more than 80 dollars of H a day. You can do it. I was dumb and kept taking 4mg until I ran out. Then I switched to either kratom tea or poppy seed tea. For all the people that don't know, poppy seeds are opium seeds, and contain minute amounts of latex sap. Therefore, you can put them in warm water, shake and make a tea. And kratom is a plant from southeast Asia that is a weak opiate. It is completely legal and does work. you buy it on the internet. Or use loperamide or immodium which is an opiate but doesn't directly affect the brain. If you take mass amounts of it (more than ten pills), it mitigates withdrawal. I got off of H once using that and cough medicine (dextromethorphan). It does not clog you up though, dispute it being an anti-diarrhea, contrary to common assumption. You fan take 100 pills without harm. There are other ways to beat it, but the government/doctors/pharmaceutical companies will want you to believe meds are the only way, just to profit. Do a google search for effective home remedies for opiate addiction. Trust me, don't keep giving your life savings to the already wealthy doctors. Try things on your own first, then consider others. Honestly, I have not been to a doctor in years for that reason, and do not subscribe to over-priced insurances. Trust me, there is not just one way to beat this. We can all do it, the safer way. And I'm not just an anti-whatever trust me. I'm just trying to prevent people from being hooked on subs or methadone for the rest of their life.

this is because sweets activate your tastebuds and release endorphins, or endogenous morphine(morphine is naturally produced in muscles and tissue). So when you are getting off of something, even if on subs, you crave food. This is because subs do not activate your opiate receptors completely, but rather just tickle them. Therefore, your body sends out an sos for more opiates, since there is a void. That means that you will naturally eat more, and usually masturbate more since that releases them as well. Don't worry, its completely natural.

yes, ibogaine does work. Any hallucinogen is basically a miracle cure for addiction, although the authorities do not want people to know this. I mean, why condone way safe drugs (hallucinogens are as safe as cannabis), when they can profit from pharms. The first time I quit it was by accident. I was in withdrawal, doing terrible, and decided to use some acid, since my friend had it. I figured it would allow me to escape my mind for awhile. It was a horrible trip, but the next morning I woke up expecting to feel like s*** on day three (off of H), and felt completely back to normal. I was surprised, and decided to do an experiment. I got more tabs, then got back on H. Full blown. I quit, on day two, took acid and viola! Next day no withdrawal. I was so surprised again that I did some research, and found I am not the only one. Many people have done this. Any type of hallucinogen will work. Acid, shrooms, morning glory seeds, Hawaiian baby Woodrose I suggest if you cannot leave home, go online and get some Hawaiian baby woodrose seeds. Quality ones from the islands. Take about 3-5. Gauge it yourself. It does not make you loopy, just makes colors vivid and your thoughts different. Contrary to popular belief, hallucinogens do not make you see leprechauns. I recommend it whole-heartedly.

Hey Antonio, hallucinogens may not make you see leprechauns but I took a hit of doublebarrel orange sunshine back in early seventies. I was at a dance and was leaning against a coke machine and all of a sudden the coke machine melted all over the floor. Weird stuff for sure.

With all due respect, I have to say I disagree with the statement that "hallucinogens are as safe as cannabis". Just saying.... They can be very dangerous, especially with someone who already has a mental disorder. I'm all for the open minded suggestions, however, disagree with this statement. Also, unfortunately psychiatrists are trained to treat with pharmaceuticals, pretty much that's it. To say that they are doing it, and keeping people on high doses of meds to pad their bank accounts is a gross generalization. There are many who care vary much about their patients and the choices they make are for the best interest of the patient. You may not agree with them, but to say they are THAT unethical is unfair and untrue. Yes, SOME are unethical and are looking out for themselves.

My friend told me suboxone has a long half life so I'm gonna take none tomorrow and.5 (a crumb) thenext day. Ill do this a week or so then go to every 3 days. I think this will work. What do any of u think? I just bought 1 strip & 1 pill (8mg) & want this to be the last of my doing this stuff. Heck, if I still feel fine the day after tomorrow, I may not take it at all.
