How Can I Get Subutex Not Suboxone? (Page 5) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI don't know how to go about this as I am shaking and can barely focus, I need help! Please. I fear that my life is going to end from my abuse of opiates. I am currently taking 250 mgs of oxycontin per day. I have a loving fiance and a stepdaughter that I want to be here for. I sit here with cold sweats, and fear going out just because I may make the fearful turn to the meds. Any and all info on how to obtain Subutex would be much appreciated. This wasn't what I wanted my life to be, and I can not let it end this way..Please help me. I am not a religious man but I pray for help as I am at my wits end with this drug.
DANI....you say that you have NEVER abused any type of opioid, ever.. So how is it that you have had this medication for so long? Just curious.... Thanks HOUSE!!
What was the point of your statement everyone knows that and not everyone can't just stop life and go to rehabilitation and yes Withdrawal sucks maybe u wasn't as hooked as u thought but some of use use major amounts and the sickness wins every time so the subs are a happy medium
If you have hep c you can go to the Dr and get put on subtext as opposed to the nasty vomiting taste of suboxone. But on 60 per month and I still have cold chills and sweats. So I would use because the meatballs will not give you 90 per month that works for everyone and not only 2 I cannot believe more people haven't spoken up about why ppl still us after getting clean the Dr wants u off like he has ever been an addict. And when they do take u off like I'm at 28 subtext per month and have been on a 4 MG dosage of xannax for years and now I'm at 0 because my dr lost his license. I'm need help to get a Dr to continue me on my anxiety medication and u need it quick I have ins.
Hope I helped you?
Try KRATOM! It's all natural leaf that works like an opiate but it's not, also it will help get you off of opiates without much withdrawal. Please do a little research, a lot of the negative stuff they say about it is not true.
I don't understand. Why wouldn't any insurance pay for a doctors appointment? Seems to me that your doctor is doing something he/she isn't supposed to be doing, like giving you the drug without the proper license. There's no reason that anyone has to pay cash
Dani. it doesn't surprise me that the Sub helps with your depression better than the actual anti depressants. Opiates gives people a false sense of well being, and when an addict stop taking opiates most of us get a condition known as PAWS which is post acute withdrawal syndrome. For most people PAWS goes away but for a few of us PAWS never goes away because at least in my case, my endorphins are gone and I dneed an opiate in my body to feel normal. Many years ago doctors found that methadone was an excellent anti depressant. However it wasn't used for very long because of how addicting methadone is
You have a really big habit you are suffering. There is a God. I've been on Suboxone. I live in Massachusetts and I know that only pregnant women get Subutex. Suboxone works if you are not around anybody that does drugs. it didn't work for me because my family member was still using. I have heard that kicking pills is worse than kicking dope. Pharmaceuticals seem to be more potent. They stay in your body longer. You really need to get yourself some help. You will look back after you get on either Suboxone or Subutex or even Methadone which you probably hate the idea of... But, I swear your life is going to improve and you will look back and say oh my God I can't believe I was doing that to myself. You know you can get an ulcer from pills? You're lucky you never use the needle. Because if you were to go to a Methadone clinic there are plenty of people there that are only there for Oxycontin addiction not just people that abuse drugs. A lot of people that go there end up failing miserably because they are addicted to the needle and they end up using coke. I'm not telling you to get on a Methadone clinic. But I am going to tell you that Suboxone does work. In your case you would probably get a large dose of it but the thing is, if you are on any opiates you go into immediate withdrawal if you take Suboxone because the ingredient in it is called Naltrexone...which is an opiate antagonist. That is not good. With the methadone, you will start feeling better in 4 days. You would probably want to take pills still until you got to maybe a dose of 60. You would not have any withdrawal symptoms because it's a synthetic opiate that does not make you feel high at all despite what people think. If people mix it with benzos or other depressants then they Drool on themselves and make people that are doing well on the clinic look terrible as a whole. I hope that you can be able to get on Subutex. Sometimes we need a little assistance and there is no way that you could kick that much without major mental and physical agony. You are in need of help like I said and I will pray for you. There's nothing worse than being tied to opiates or even alcohol or even benzos or cigarettes you name it, it just completely sucks. You have to wrap your entire life around whatever the drug is, especially opiates though because you can't go to certain places that you promised to go to because you might end up sick. It is a life robber and a liar just like the devil. it doesn't mean that you will be on Subutex are any of the medications I mention forever, but imagine having to live the life you are living forever? It's the lesser of two evils... Getting on medication and off the pills. You will have so much more money to spend on your fiance and you will be proud of yourself because you sought out help and you can provide even better than you did before. There was a time when I thought I was a better mother when I was on opiates... And I also thought what the hell I cannot take care of my baby if I do not have the ability to stay unsick. Right now you are in a cage with a very hungry lioness that needs to feed her babies...and she is ready to attack you if you don't get help, you could be arrested too and then really be in trouble. I understand you're not thinking of that because you're too afraid to get sick. That's the most important thing staying unsick. I wish you the best of luck and I'm an addict too.
Hi LIZ, Congratulations on being Subx free.. It could have been my post you read because I remember someone asking if they have done it so I posted how I did. My post was quite a while back. I also saw that you jumped after an eighth of a dose which sounds like the way I did it too. I don't know why you got sick unless you did not give the eighth of a dose enough time. Of course all of our bodies are different too. Did you mean mentally sick like just wanting it for depression? The only thing I felt when I jumped off an eighth was fatigue but I took the last of it for 2 weeks. Glad to see it worked for you. I've also weaned off Morphine too. I'm a chronic pain patient but take periods of being off my meds just to give my body a break. I have to spend most of my time in bed when I am off of it but it's a give and take situation. But please don't get back on it just because I can go on and off it. I can quit when I want to. Many get addicted and can't stop or have hell of a time trying. So keep up the good work.
Yes, they do have a lot of renowned "EXPERTS" on this site and some of their advise is ridiculous. But there are some that have pretty good insight and can give decent advice. But no matter what advice they give, they should always follow up with them posting to have a medical professional's advice and that is what I always tell them.
KKh....I also wanted to tell you that you can look up the "Withdrawal Ease" online. It will tell you basically what is in it. Just vitamins and herbs. If you think you can detox off of this, than just go out and get a bottle of Centrum at the grocery store because basically that is all it is and cheaper. Unless you are a very light drug user it may help a little but you shouldn't trust it. It would be just as bad as going cold turkey. If you are not sure, ask your addiction doctor. Good luck hun.
LIZ: Thanks for the info. Yeah, I didn't figure this Withdrawal Ease stuff was going to be a miracle cure, but I was wondering if it helped at all. I will save my money. Good for you that you were able to get off of Subs. That's awesome!!
Paul, I would never in a million years go back on Suboxone. That's the worst drug to get off of. I've never taken illicit drugs, I just got injured at work and I'm on worker's comp. I can never work again. Workers Comp. is very choosy about what drugs they will pay for, so I just have to go along with the program. Thanks so much for your post and don't worry, no more subs for me. I only wish people could realize that yes, it's an easy fix to get off opioid's but then you have to get off the sub's, and that's the hard part. I did have depression, very bad but it went away and I feel great now. Thanks.
I found myself in a very similar situation (unfortunately) and genuinely feel your pain and anguish. I Would personally recommend suboxone over subutex as it has a naloxone opiate blocker in it, taking away the possibility off a relapse. However, what I would say is that like any other replacement therapy, try and taper off it within a year or so as you will find yourself in the same situation both mentally and physically. Take care and give yourself a break, it can happen to the best off us as these drugs are (as you already know) extremely addictive.
Hello guys hope every one is doing OK all this talk of using while on suboxone or subtext is crazy ppl wanting one instead of the other ,precipitated withdrawal n all headaches bad taste I mean come on guys if you are physically and chemically dependent on opiates or street drugs think about it Wichita is worse a bad taste or prison ,death or the unspeakable things we do and have done to feed that beast weigh your priorities guys common sense says a bad taste is better than death or prostitution or theft and death get right use this drug correctly LIKE THE DOCTOR SAYS or let a person who is serious about life take your place in the clinic their are people literally and physically DYING to get a slot in these clinics. God bless
TINKERBELL: I'm thinking that's a typo. 750mgs of Methadone would kill someone.
Howdy guys n ladies, I do believe it would have to be a typo, I too had a methadone experience at our local clinic. I was raised to 197 mgs. Which was debilitating. I'm not a fan of it. It works for some and not for others. I regret to this day I went that high. Even small doses (30 to 60 mgs or mgds or mgls what ever they call it) is very hard to withdraw from. It seems to take approximately 3 months to get over it. I'm hoping the suboxone is not that difficult. I don't seem to be able to get off the pharmaceutical opiate without a crutch. God bless you all n I'm grateful for this site and all the info I get from it.
kkh is dead-on correct here & I am outraged, as somebody in suboxone maintenance for almost 6 years, and though i've not taken subutex i am well informed of it, as i have tired of the no-longer, what was excellent therapeutic benefit of suboxone in the film form, which is all i can have covered with my current health plan, and i get regular nasty headaches from the suboxone so i tend to take an exederine shortly after my film dissolves, to try to ward off the headache as best i can before it starts to kick in and escalate.I don't know which is more alarmingly asinine - one being that a doctor misinformed you on the preposterous theory that one can still feel euphoric while on opiates and also taking subutex, or worse yet that you just thought this up yourself, because you sure as heck didn't read this in any pharmacodynamic literature. Both suboxone and subutex are initial for the physical withdrawals of whatever your drug of choice was, after that mere week or so, the rest is ALL ABOUT STAYING IN A COMMITTED CHOICE OF RECOVERY. This is exactly the kind of crap that makes it harder for those of us who choose to use these medications correctly, subjecting us to scrutiny and condescending, snotty attitudes from ignormus pharm techs.
TAMMY: Just get another doctor! There are some real crap doctors out there, but there are also some excellent ones!
DANI: Amazing isn't it? I can understand the patients not understanding how Subutex/Suboxone works, but the doctors? I work with a couple of great Addiction Specialists, and they shake their heads when I tell them some of these stories. Buprenorphine is a partial agonist/partial antagonist opioid. Meaning that the Bupe itself can throw you into withdrawals. Meaning that even though Subutex has no Naloxone, it can still screw you up big time if taken at a high enough dose along with opioids. I know this from research AND personal experience. To read about doctors actually prescribing Bupe to someone to whom they have already prescribed full-agonist opioids is just mind blowing to me. Take care Dani.
K: Hopefully your doctor will give you the Subutex, but if not you may have to go to the emergency room and get documentation that you are having a "reaction" to the Naloxone. Get what I am saying?
