I am in the suboxone program and I showed up for taking neurontin also. It had never showed up, They just recently started testing for them. How long does it really take to get gabapentin out of your system? Some people have told me 24 hours some says 2 days. I guess the best thing would be not to take the neurontin but they help me so much i have a lot of pain in my stomach and they also seem to help my anxiety some. But I have quit taking them. Wish me luck guys you all have been very helpful with your comments, Its also nice to know that Im not the only one who was taking these. They used to not test for them but the guy who does group said that they i guess they is the fda and insurance people have found out that people are buying these on the street, Some people say that they aint worth taking but if you take enough of them they help alot. I have heard them be called "the miracle drug" i guess they call them this because neurontin is very useful for just about everything. It is good for pain caused by nerves it helps your nerves too but it doesnt knock you out as long as you are careful with them. But I am not taking them any more dont wanna take any chances and mess my program up because I really do want to get better.

It does show on tox screens sent out to a lab but not on a quick cup where you get instant results

A standard 13 panel cup does not test for neurontin but if a urine screen is sent to a lab it does!!

Theyve started testing for it now in regular drug test. I'm in the suboxone clinic and it showed up in mine last time. & my Dr said it showed high levels to.

My doc tested for it in a drug screen cause he gave me a script for it. i cant take it cause it makes me feel drunk. since it wasnt in my system she cut me off all my other meds

Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain and mood disorders and, as such, it is not a substance that is tested for on standard drug tests.
However, the half-life for your body to process it out is from 5 to 7 hours and total elimination time is usually 5 to 6 half-lives, so you'd be looking at 30 to 42 hours for it to be processed out of your body entirely.
