How long does a 8mg dilaudid pill stay in your urine stream? If the pill was taken approximately 8 days before a urine drugs screen will it show up on the test? I had only taken one or two pills.

I had right rotator cuff surgery and left shoulder labral surgery and they both turned out bad all they did was help the pain some. I also have 3 herniated degenerating discs in my neck and a bad pinched nerve buried in there that causes severe pain down my neck and my left arm shoulder and tricep. I have been taking 2 mg of Dilaudid pills three times a day for 3 years. They recently tried neck therapy but after just a few sessions of them pushing the bones around in my neck the pain got extremely worse and has stayed that way and the Dilaudid seem to be doing nothing now. but I don't want to take a stronger pain medication because I have low tolerance to it and I would just be a zombie on the couch. I'm thinking about talking to my doctor about taking me off of the Dilaudid because they do make me groggy and I am still in pain so for quality of life purposes if I'm going to be in pain I would like to be clear-headed. do you know of any medications for pain that do not zombify you? maybe I could mention them to my Dr. thank you.

Someone gave one of my friends 4mg dilaudids. She normally takes 10mg Percocet (Oxycodone) but her neighbor stole the rest of her prescription. She has been taking the dilaudids pretty heavy for about 5-6 days. She has to take a urine test for probation. We are just wondering what she can do to clean her system? Or how long it will stay in her system? Will Dilaudid come up as an opiate, oxi, or not at all?

As long as you don’t use again before your test that is plenty of time for them to be completely out of your system. You should be just fine.

I can only imagine the pain you have gone through and live with. You have my deepest empathy. I want to point out that there are dangers associated with the pain pump as well. My daughter's friends mother had this device, and had gone to get her pump meds refilled. After her visit she went to her car to get her wallet to pay for the visit as she had forgotten her pocketbook in the car, while out there she took a phone call, and was having a smoke. Her appointment was in the morning and it was the evening when someone in the parking lot plaza noticed her and called for help. I don't know exactly what happened, or why it happened but she ended up getting a much larger dose then she could handle delivered to her system she passed out in the car with the lit cigarette which caught fire on her shirt, she ended up with third degree burns over a large area of her arm. She almost lost her arm. Now I will say she was not supposed to have left the clinic yet, as when anytime they make adjustments, flush, or refill the pump there is a minimum amount of time your supposed to stay for observation afterwards, because there are dangers... but besides those more obvious ones, I researched this option for myself and found that kinks happen and can cause delivery issues, as well as infections and the body's immune system rejecting the system and causing health issues from that as well. So although I am very happy this system is helping you cope, please never underestimate the risks and always use every caution advised by your physician.

Just call medical records and or have them call after giving the hospital permission to give the information and ask for proof of any & all narcotics given during duration of stay time & dated & they have to give it to you

I have been on 8 mg of Dilaudid for several years now due to a severe car accident, leaving me with excruciating chronic pain. Initially, I told my doctor I do not want to go on any opiates, as before that I would never even take a Tylenol because I live a very healthy and fit life. One of my issues is fibromyalgia and two herniated discs which my rheumatologist said it was a direct result of the car accident. I tried Lyrica and went into anaphylactic shock, barely making it to the hospital. I tried he already know but had very bad results. I also tried tramadol Which didn't work at all. My doctor put me on Tylenol 3 and did a blood test to see if it was affecting my liver. I always took it as prescribed and don't have an addictive personality he don't even drink. As it turned out, my liver enzymes went up substantially. Then she put me on straight codeine can't recall the milligrams, that I was to take it every 3 to 4 hours. It didn't work either because I was still in a great deal of pain, all it did was take the I tiny bit, but the pain was still there. When I moved out to BC ( I originally lived in Ontario ) and moved to DC to get married because the long distance relationship wasn't working. I found a new doctor there that tried me on gabapentin Along with codeine. The gabapentin cost me to have a grand mal seizure and while I was driving to tape my stepson to school, I had a severe Seizure and hit a Hydro pole. They couldn't confirm if it was a seizure, but I did bite my tongue and it was bleeding quite a bit. I'm also on a lot of mental health drugs, like Pa i'm also on a lot of mental health drugs, like clonazepan, lamotragine, Xanax, seraquil, imovane. I had some Sevier traumas in the last 10 years, including two rapes, for which my ex was charged and convicted for, and Bashan where I got raped several years later, as well as eaten, family court matters, which is another huge trauma, the loss of my best friend, haven't seen my three kids since I moved to DC because my ex-husband brain washed them and told them a lot. A court appointed psychologist rental in the inflation synd haven't seen my three kids since I moved to DC because my ex-husband brain washed them and told them a lot life. A court appointed psychologist said they were victims of parental alienation syndrome. I raised my kids alone and they were my entire world. They were all involved in many activities, but the worst was taking my son, who played triple a hockey 5 to 6 nights a week and volunteering at the school. I couldn't work due to severe clinical depression and it wasn't after two years that I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder without psychosis, meaning that I had a mood disorder but wasn't crazy. The psychiatrist put me on Sarah Quill on a low dosage and told me it would help my insomia and was told to take Seroquel for one night and switched to Imogene the next night and so on and so on. Then mount Trenton is supposed to help my mood disorders and the Xanax was to help with terrible panic attacks I would get many times a month. My anxiety level was through the roof, so my psychiatrist prescribed me clonazepam and as a result, the anxiety has gone down quite a bit, but I still get panic attacks and am supposed to take Xanax since it is an instant acting drunk for panic attacks. My mental health diagnoses is, bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia which seemed to come on after the home invasion. I should also mention that to use later my home was broken into and I was coming back home when this was happening. I was tied up and a gun was put down my throat to keep me from screaming are calling the police when they left, basically threatening me that they would kill me if I called the police on them. I also have PS TD, hypo thyroid is him, fibromyalgia, herniated disc's, carpal Connell syndrome, arthritis, torn ligaments on both knees. Physiotherapy has done nothing to help and I feel hopeless and in a lot of pain. I have many drug sensitivities and get 12 EpiPen's are year because I also have many other allergies. I eventually asked my doctor to send me to a pain specialist because I wanted to get off opiates, but then he put me on Suboxone and since four months ago that I've been taking it, I am more sick than I've ever been. It's really not helping the pain, I have had a steady headache for months now Which started when I took that Suboxone. I am nauseous every day and when I try eating something, I vomit. I'm extremely dizzy and have fallen down many times because of this , I can't even communicate properly and it's taking me over two hours to write this. My husband will have to read this before I press send, I haven't been able to go to my basement and do laundry because I've fallen down the steps many times, so my husband has been doing all the housework and laundry, as well as taking care of me. I have lost 56 pounds in four months I've been taking it, due to nausea and not being able to eat anything heavy. I do take vitamins and minerals, as well as change and sure and Gatorade to keep my electrolytes balanced. The only things I can eat are such things as bland toast, cello, chicken soup and my has been a bit of chicken to it for protein . I feel like a walking zombie and all I do is sleep and cry. It wasn't after an emergency visit to the hospital after one of my serious balls that my doctor put me on methadone. I read that method down is extremely addictive just like Suboxone is. I told her many times that I did not want opiates, yet I was put back on them with Suboxone and methadone. Neither drug is working. My psychiatrist told me that I have two choices, either go back to the Dilaudid and have a decent quality of life or keep taking what I'm taking and have no life at all. After my last doctor visit, she must have seen how sick I was and the amount of weight I lost in a very short amount of time, and this time I bet her to just put me back to my original meds. I have never abused them or asked for more in the years I've been taking them. I don't take them to feel high since my tolerance level is way past that point. I am being treated like a junkie, yet all I'm asking for is pain relief. Now they've put me on two different types of opiates, which baffles me because Like I said, I have never used them recreationally, although the first several months of taking Dilaudid I was extremely tired and had and Had a euphoric like sensation, but that went away. The Suboxone or methadone have never been properly explain to me and it wasn't until a month later when I googled Suboxone did I find out that this was also an opiate which prevented people from feeling high. It was also extremely addicting and from what I have read have terrible withdrawal symptoms. Just this weekend my pharmacist called and said my pain specialist is taking Suboxone and putting me on methadone Hills. I googled methadone and found out that it is also an opiate but prevents people from seeking that euphoric feeling. I don't understand why they would take me off 10. Just to put me on another one, especially since both doctors know I have never abused any of the dilaudids. I don't like taking any extended release medication because I take so many medications and prefer to take them when I need them, which is why The dilaudid so worked well on me. My doctor never sends notes to my psychiatrist or vice versa and doesn't have a clue what is wrong with me on the mental and psychological level. Both Suboxone and methadone have Sevier interactions and there have been several nights where my husband has had to wake me up because my breathing was so slow and shallow. He checks my vital signs twice a day and my breathing has gone down 4 minute. After all of this, they don't want me to go back to what I was taking, even though it worked well for me. I understand that everyone is different, but they did work for me and now I'm stuck because I can't take that Suboxone or methadone. I know there is also naloxone in there and wondered if it has any Side affects. I was extremely angry on Saturday when my pharmacist dropped off the methadone without so much as an explanation. I don't understand how these doctors can prescribe such a potentially fatal when you combined with sedatives and benzodiazepines and if you know information on it. I don't know what to do now and I'm they will think I'm just drug seeking. I'm in so much pain, both physically and have these terrible side effects as well as emotional and psychological pain from all of the trauma as I had to go through. I've mentioned them, but there are many more and I don't want to waste everyone's time since this is about Pain. Please help! I don't know where to go to next. I simply don't understand why they won't put me back on what I was taking before. I am beyond frustrated and angry. I understand opiates affect everyone differently, I even stopped taking dilaudid for almost 2 months in order to see where my pain level was without taking pain pills. After the horrible withdrawal symptoms went away, the pain came back with a vengeance so I got back on them. This was just last year and my pain specialist keep insisting that it's impossible for them to work when taken that long. I'm living proof that they still work because after being off them that long, and getting back on, it was very evident that it was providing me great pain relief. I should also mention when I asked my doctor to refer me to a pain doctor, I thought it would be a non-narcotic medication or something to supplement what I was already taking. I would really appreciate any advice because if I have to live like this, I don't want to. I never leave my home due to the Agorapbhobia and have to take Xanax to calm me down when I do have to go to doctors appointments. Thanks everyone and apologies for any spelling errors and for the long post.

I think my boyfriend is injecting dilaudid. Will it show up on a home drug test? And for how long after?

Hello yes it will show up!! I get tested every week at a methadone / suboxone clinic. Hydromorphone stays in your system 7-10 days sometimes more. Depends on many factors. Who ever told you 18 hours is trying to screw you over :( sorry to break the news to you.

You can drink lots of water and dilute your urine but after 18 days in theory that won't even help you.

Can hydromorphone / dilaudid stay in your system for over 2 weeks ,? I get tested every week but I always dilute my urine by drinking lots of water. I always usually stop 4 days before my urine lab tests.
It has been 17 days since I did 24mg of hydromorphone. I did a urine screen yesterday and I didn't dilute at ALL just my regular normal urine second pee of the day .... Am I okay? The cutoff is 300ng. I'm soooo worried and stressed.
Is it POSSIBLE for drugs to stay in your urine for over 2 weeks??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much
