I want to know if harvoni can cause a false positive urine drug test for amphetamine? ## The first thing I said to my doc AND the FDA and Gikead, " there is definitely amphetamine in this drug!" I was told no. I think somehow they snuck some in. Why the insomnia? It felt to me like a bad acid tip on steroids. I don't trust this medication I was in it for 2 very long wks of hell. Now I see people with more muscle mass counter the sides better, women less. I just completed my 12 week Zepatier treatment yesterday on June 1St. 2017. Now today I feel miserable with headache, extreme fatigue, ringing in my ears and itchy skin. Anyone else have problems when they finished their Zepatier Treatment? ## That can be normal with any medication you take for a few months, then suddenly finish, according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, and diarrhea. Has there been any change, yet? I finished Zepatier treatment last July. Successful. Virus undetectable. Very happy. I'd been sick for almost 20 years. Felt great. Began to re-start my life. But, since July 2017, I've fallen sick with flu-like symptoms three times. Each bout of 'flu' lasts a month, and is bad enough to stop you from doing anything, except sleep, or futz around. I got the last bout of this extreme flu mid-March, 2018. It lasted until a few days ago. I'm free of it now, but extremely tired. It feels like I've got ME or chronic fatigue syndrome. I have started a 12 wk program of Harvoni this is day 4 ,, Iam having head aches they come and go but are never far away , they seem to always be in the back ground , Is this normal or what ????? ## Hi Michael, Sorry to hear about the headaches you've been having lately. According to the manufacturer, headaches are actually reported to be one of the most common side effects of Harvoni in clinic trials. However my findings go on to state that you should contact your doctor if the symptoms become too bothersome or severe. On that note, I would even consider inquiring about alternative treatment options, knowing that headaches associated with Harvoni may or may not go away on their own until you stop taking what's causing it to begin with. Medical specialist has prescribed Sovaldi 400 mg and robavirin 400 mg for treatment of a very weak 80 year old patient suffering with HCV (3a). The patient who is underweight, i.e 26kg, has count of 7600000, as per USG, there is a simple cyst in one of the kidneys, kidneys has shrunken, gall stone of 20mm, creatinine level is above normal, i.e 1.5mg/dl, TLC count also does not go above 4500, SGOT/SGPT ranges between 70/65 to 115/105 from time to time. Hello, I am Hans (71 years). I live in Germany. I've been taking Harvoni for 6 weeks. I am happy that I have no problems and no side effects. I started with a viral load of 1.1 million. The fist blood test after 14 days had a reduction to 94 (!). In 2 days I shall see my doc again. I'm curious about the new result (I hope ZERO). I have just begun Harvoni, this will be my sixth day. After the third day I noticed a change in how I am tasting foods. They are more sweet and foods that have a fat content are more heavy and cloying. Has anyone else experienced things like this? ## After my husband finished the 8 weeks course of Harvoni, on May 20, 2015, he came down with a very bad cold. A lot of coughing. And at that point- he lost his sense of smell and sense of taste completely. I am diagnosed with having Hepatitis E. My Doctor prescribed Ursocol 300. In what way does it help? Will this medication make thc stay in your system longer than normal? Or is this med flushing out old thc? I have been postive for thc for almost 7 weeks. Hi. I am on a 8 week Harvoni treatment with 10 days left until i finish the 8 weeks. After the first 28 days my virus was undetectable. My doctor told me that after i finish the last bottle if the virus does not return within 3 months then i am cured. I am wondering if any medications will effect it returning within the three months. I would like to start my testosterone after i am done with my 8 weeks of treatment if it will not interfere. Will medically prescribed marijuana interfere with harvoni treatment? ## Throughout treatment you may be given a drug panel and, should you come back positive, it can compromise your continued treatment (getting your medication...). I certainly wouldn't risk it. ## @Pepper, As far as potential drug interactions are concerned, I haven't seen documented research suggesting that there's any risk involved with marijuana and harvoni. So my personal opinion is that because you know your body better than anyone else and how these drugs might be affecting you individually (from previous experience - assuming this isn't your first time taking either substance), perhaps a suggestion would be to start with a much smaller dose than you'd typically have for the sake of understand...

I was told by my doctor that it is very bad to smoke marijuana when you have hep c and if you're going to do it to use a filtering pipe. I was told I could buy one at a headshop. Completed 8 weeks of Harvoni. Still having diahhrea (daily) and very tired 4 months later (sleep 10+ hours per night & get 1-2 hours nap during day). ## Unfortunately, many people do experience lingering effects for several months after completing their course of treatment with Harvoni, as reported by the FDA. I am going crazy. I have never felt right on this. I was 24 weeks on Harvoni, and had been bedridden since then due to my liver, back issues, pain, headaches, chest discomfort, unable to swallow, see clearly, and have nausea constantly. ## Those can be typical side effects of this medication according to the FDA. I had a 12 week course of Harvoni for Hep C (following a car accident in 1996)...my Hep C was found then (jaundice and then testing)...liver enzymes returned to normal after a few months and I was told to wait to treat, that eventually there will be something better than interferon... I waited and was trilled with the Harvoni results, mild side effects; but, about 3-4 months after Harvoni, I started having terrible easy bruising in my shins, lower legs and I developed ventricular tachycardia and other heart problems, ended up with a defibrillator and three heart medications...I just finished treatment for a leg ulcer that developed from a bruise! ....
