Silymarin is actually an herbal supplement derived from the Milk Thistle plant and as such, it hasn't actually been tested and proven to do anything. It is classified as a flavonoid.
It is believed, but as I said, not scientifically proven, that these substances have a protective effect on the liver. Thus, you shouldn't solely count on it to treat, cure or prevent any liver disease.

hello po..
ask ko lang po kasi nagpa(hepa sreening) po ako reactive po ang result.. tapos ang reseta po ng doctor sakin silymarin capsule at conzaice 1 and 6months years ko na po tine take.. tapos nag patingin ako ulit ng dugo kanina reactive parin.. meron po ba kayo ibang gamot na mabisa na pwede nyo i refer sakin.. kasi po di po ako makaalis alis ng bansa dahil dito pls help me po thanks..

1) Hepatitis B Surface Antigen – what was the reading? Is it reactive or non-reactive? What value did you get?
2) Antibody Hepatitis B Surface Antigen- Non-Reactive or Reactive? What is the value?
3) Antibody to hepatitis A Virus: reactive or non-reactive? What is the value?
4) Antibody to hepatitis B Core Antigen: reactive or non-reactive? What is the value?
5) Hepatitis Be Antigen-reactive or non reactive? What is the value?
6)Antibody Hepatitis C reactive or non-reactive? What is the value?
There was no indication in your post which of the above was reactive or non-reactive. Maybe you recently were infected and have not cleared your infection. I suggest to get back fo your doctor and have another testing.

hello po..ask ko lng po f ano masasuggest nyo n medicine to treat hepa B meron kasi sis. ko nadiagnose po sya n my hepa b i think 9 yrs ago pero nakaalis sya out of the country dis year lng kc sabi po nung doctor nung tinest uli kung nakakahawa o hnd ang result po e hnd po sya nakakahawa kaya nakaalis po sya palabas ng bansa..tnx po and god bless..:)

Been diagnose with very high sgpt 890 n sgot 790 when i had my medical goin abroad, i took. Livolin forte n liver 4 3x a day plus strict diet no salt no sugar no oil no meat. I ate only fruits n boiled green vegies for 10days n everything got normal
