Generic Norco M367 10/325 (Page 12) (Top voted first)
UpdatedIt's no good. I have to take three at a time for 1 hour of pain relief. Anybody else have this problem with M367 - 10/325? Has anyone else noticed that meds from certain manufacturers do not work as well for them?
I live with chronic pain, even after multiple spinal surgeries. I have been getting Actavis Norco generics from Walgreens for a while and they just switched to Amneal Norco. I thought I aggravated my back because since I got switched on the different company pills my pain has increased 2 fold. I contacted pharmacist and she said they get what they get and don’t have any control over it. So now I have to wait until next month to see if my doc will switch me to a diff medication since I’m at the max on the hydro he can’t add any more pills. It really sucks that pharmacies can just switch a patient without any notice or warning.
Re: Inpain (# 489)
Have your doctor print directly on the prescription, "Qualitest brand only, no substitutes." That way, if the pharmacy doesn't have that brand, they will either order it for you or advise you who may carry it. I use Express Scripps pharmacy and have always gotten what the doctor requested. Best of luck to you. I know how you feel. My doctor had to retire and now that opioids have become such a national issue, I now have to go to a different doctor or a pain specialist as a lot of doctors are optiing not to prescribe opiates. This sucks!
Re: Tiny Dancer (# 493)
I have said a number of times on this site that that brand is no good. Have your doctor put Qualitest brand only on your script and make sure the pharmacy will order it for you if they do not carry it. It is a huge ripoff to the patients and bigger dollars for the pharmacies. Be proactive, and you will get what you need. Best of luck to you.
Re: Tiny Dancer (# 493)
Thanks for the information. Checked my script and the manufacturer is Mallinckrodt. I am going to switch to my former pharmacy even if I have to pay more, at least I will get relief.
Re: Sweetheart (# 499)
The M367 pill does NOT contain any Aspirin. It's comprised of Hydrocodone 10mg + Acetaminophen (Tylenol) 325mg.
Manufacturer: Mallinckrodt
National Drug Code: 00406-0125
Inactive Ingredients:
Crospovidone
Magnesium Stearate
Cellulose, Microcrystalline
Povidones
Starch, Corn
Silicon Dioxide
Stearic Acid
Hope this helps!
It’s not in your mind the binders and fillers play a role even if they are using active ingredients the light yellows are the best norcos for pain and long duration
Yes, absolutely the same problem! The WORST is Malinkroft (not sure on spelling) and I even told my pharmacist this stuff was nothing but junk and yes I have even had to take 3 at a time and still won't touch the pain and you get soooo sleepy too. I believe this crap is off the black market. I told my pharmacist I did NOT want that mfr. again, I was told well that's what the warehouse has and they get whatever is the best deal or something to that matter. I told them then I only wanted the real Norco, NO generic, my doctor wrote that too and she said well they'd have to order it and it'd be like 3 weeks, so I couldn't wait 3 weeks, but may as well have since this crap doesn't do anything but make you sick and sleepy. If you can go to another pharmacist that doesn't have that mfr. I would avoid it at all costs. Oh, they also told me I could transfer my Rx to another drug store but I didn't want to mess with it. Good luck, just try to avoid Malincroft. The yellow ones, I've found to be the best but I heard they weren't going to be making those anymore bc addicts and dealers call them "yellows" makes no G.D. sense at all as now they'll just call them "whites." The government has NO G.D. business in people's medications.
Re: Sharon (# 511)
It is Qualitest brand. Have your doctor write it on the script.
Re: RANDY (# 506)
OMG, Randy I could not agree with you more!! I've been saying the SAME thing, the REAL epidemic in this country is ALCOHOL! And it kills more, breaks up more families, causes diseases, I could go on and on. All these people on TV couldn't even speak in interviews, etc. w/o their liquid courage. Nothing will be done about it because all the lobbyists, congressmen, senators, etc.. ALL of them are more than likely alcoholics or rely on it in some way. It just makes me SO irate with what they have caused with this opiate epidemic, people with serious pain issues are now suffering because their doctors are scared to death to prescribe to them what they need just to get out of pain. Older people like myself, I'm late 50's and I have so many things wrong with my back, I have a vert. slipped towards my spinal cord, I have fractures in my back, I have stenosis, arthritis and scoliosis. Years ago I had a doctor that prescribed Oxicodone 30 mg. and he suddenly stopped, telling me he was no longer taking medicaid! I even offered cash and he said no that was against the law. I had to stop cold turkey and it took me 6 mos. to find another doctor because they thought I was a junkie because of what this doctor was giving me!! I only get the Hydrocodone 10/325's now which hardly even touch the pain. They have lowered my qty. now 2 times. I have heard of other people getting cut off or having their qty.'s lowered, this is ALL due to the G.D. government and the CDC. I say it's about damn time they do the same thing for ALCOHOL users. TRACK their purchases, put limits on what they can buy, etc...How many people are killed each year by DWI drivers alone?? I think it's so biased in every way. We have to suffer because people were obtaining opiates by lying to doctors, but I don't know what kind of dr would prescribe to a young person w/o having MRI's, etc. to prove what was wrong. This is just a huge mess and so many people are suffering terribly because of these young junkies. SMH, I don't know what people can do about it either. It's just a sad situation, really.
Re: Tired of Malenkrodt AKA Malenkrap (# 513)
Thank you very much! I will give it a try my norco just isn’t doing the job. Thx again
Re: Sharon (# 511)
Qualitest generic brand is yellow and the only one that works for me.
Re: StLaLuLu (# 514)
Flood the offices with phone calls and letters letting the abc agencies know how we/you feel. Make your voice heard! We have to complain, put it in writing, let them hear from us! We HAVE to make sure we are heard. It may seem a waste of time to some, but isn't one email a day better than none? Email, phone calls, paper letters, start with your local agencies and work your way up. We have to unify and speak out. Start with your local senator (that's what he/she are here for-you) and work your way up. I know it's lonely, frustrating, tiring, unappreciated work to write, but what do we have to lose? (Besides our minds, and for some of us our lives.)

Re: Bonelli (# 4)
I get my pain pills the same ones norco m367 from walgreens. The pills are no gòod. They make me sick, sleepy, dizzy. They need to take them off the market.
The claim that intractable pain sufferers are being discriminated against, is a far deviation from the truth. The truth is that CEOs @ Kaiser have colluded with their friends in U.S. Congress, to withhold strong medications, that are costing too much to all major health providers. Therefore; sending the wrong information to Congress. The new statistics that just came out; show that actual deaths from opioids mixed with other drugs, totals about 16,000; while alcohol relate deaths & severe mutilations were over 1.6 million. It is a coward act to mix alcohol & drugs deaths, as being one & the same. All of the drugs deaths were on people under 50 years of age. Young punks that want to keep increasing the amount of drugs to feel higher & higher, until they end up dead. These young punks will mix anything with anything else until they end up dead; & now CEOs at all major health providers are cowardly mixing "drug & alcohol deaths". Deaths from opioids were just over 16,000 in 2017, while alcohol related deaths & or severe mutilations surpassed 1. 6 million. There were no drug related deaths on seniors over 67 years of age & most of the 16,000 deaths were users under 50 years of age. CEOs & congress, let us, the elderly & the true chronic pain sufferers, be able to obtain strong medications, so we can try to live some kind of normal & useful life. Price can be raised to $1.00 per 10/325 so that health providers can provide such medications. Anyone that claims that he/she needs more than 5 pills per day; should be meticulously evaluated to justify that amount of pills. We need to minimize the pain, not totally kill it, because then you are just another drug user, a high cost to health providers & an obstacle in getting the drug issue resolved.
Re: RANDY (# 524)
I too find it absolutely absurd to punish older people with real pain issues because of all the young people who obtain the medications for recreational use. WHY are there so many PSA's on cigarette smoking on T.V. nearly every other commercial is about cigarettes and the harm they cause, alright, we ALL know this, but I thought there was an opiate or heroin epidemic so where are ALL the PSA's warning us about this, where are ALL the PSA's warning about the awful effects of alcohol??? I truly believe there is some kind of conspiracy theory going on, not even a theory, a conspiracy actually with flooding the market with these blank Mallinckrodt fake pills, they do nothing for pain, it's a joke. My doctor even wrote brand only on my RX, how come there is NO authentic Norco anywhere to be found? WHO is reaping the profits with these blank junk pills? Someone needs to do an indepth investigation because ALL of us are on to them, we know what we are talking about. I will never again accept a g.d. Mallinckrodt RX again. I think they're exchanging the authentic hydrocodone with these blank junks and selling the real ones on the street or to drug dealers out right. Someone is making a LOT of money for this exchange. Someone is manufacturing these blank Mallinckrodts in exchange for the real ones that actually contain medicine. They used to just make me have a real ill feeling with a slight headache and sick to my stomach w/ out helping pain at all, now they're not even doing that so they've even taken all the filler out, it's just plain chalk or something.
Re: madashell (# 525)
I wonder how the chain of distribution goes and who watches who?? Who's to say that in the warehouse the authentic hydrocodone is not being switched out with blank pills that are only made of filler and tylenol? Even if there was a security guard in the warehouse who's to say he's not in on it too? Security guards are not paid well and any Tom, Dick or Harriet can be one. When there is big money to be made everyone wants a piece of the action, am I right? Think about it, a 10 mg. Hydrocodone will sell for $10.00 on the street for ONE! We're talking millions of dollars here. Who's to say there aren't dirty pharmacists too that could be switching them out? Years ago I was prescribed Oxycodone 30's and the pharmacist himself dipped 20 out of my bottle!! I counted them as soon as I got home and called right away and he didn't question me or anything just told me to come right back up and they'd be ready, so it was HIM!!! 20 of those would be $600.00 on the street. I wish I knew a chemist or a lab where I could get these Mallinkrodt junkers analyzed. Thanks to all the illegitimate pain fakers out there the most a doctor will prescribe anymore is just Hydrocodone or one of the long lasting abuse deterrent drugs. They work good if they prescribe you a high enough milligram, 10 mg. is a waste.
Opioids
As you will soon learn, it's not exactly uncommon to see people nodding off or shooting up in doorways around here. All around the city, there are visible human reminders that drugs are bad and opioids are the worst. This message is reinforced when you hear about the "opioid crisis," which, according to every news network and semi-elected president in America, has swept up the nation in a wave of addiction.
Despite the near-constant news of this epidemic, some experts say that the hysteria around opioids is a lot of hype. According to Carl Hart, a drug researcher at Columbia University, the vast majority of opioid users don't get hooked. In fact, one comprehensive review of the research found that the number of people who develop an addiction after being prescribed opioids for pain relief is actually less than 1 percent. [1]
Re: Verwon (# 2)
This medicine does not work.
The reason these meds are rubbish is massive Healthcare debt in Hospitals and Dr. offices. Mallinckrodt, (the maker of these) just came out of bankruptcy and they don't care if any legal suits are brought because by the time they are heard the company will be bankrupt again. To be fair most makers of these meds are ordered to water them down to get chronic pain patients thru medical revolving doors for cash flow. I guess the recreational users will have to find something else. Good luck all.
Re: Casey (# 545)
I will not get surgery because that is what the massive in debt healthcare system wants to keep moving patients thru medical revolving doors. Spine surgery has a very high failure rate. I do hope you find relief as I also have bad chronic pain every living day. The next economic crash like 2009 will be in large part of the massive healthcare debt.
