Generic Norco M367 10/325 (Page 28) (Top voted first)

It's no good. I have to take three at a time for 1 hour of pain relief. Anybody else have this problem with M367 - 10/325? Has anyone else noticed that meds from certain manufacturers do not work as well for them?

The doctor doesn't listen!
What is your problem?
Dr at the ER gave me the right dosage that works,& tried to get my PC to accept it & he won't!

I've only had those once and they relieved pain for about an hour. My biggest complaint about them was I felt a side effect I did not like. It seemed to mess with my balance. When I started taking Norco they were by a company called Watson and they worked fine. Now I have been on Qualitest for years and they do the job well. I'm too old to argue with pharmacists as I don't care if they think I'm a dope head or not. It's like I'm not going to their house for Thanksgiving anyway. I want pain relief, bottom line, and have no plan to have to move up to anything stronger. The M367's are a bad joke. I got those at rite aid and have not gone back.

Oh please. This junkie thinks you are nuts in the head. Get off the dope. You are too young to be using elderly people's medicine at your age. You guys are the reason we are having this abuse problem nationwide. Exercise, eat well and take an advil. When you get older, then you will have the pain that requires the hard stuff. For now deal with it.

Jeff you are fortunate that your doctor believes you. Many doctors are saying it is in our heads. Years ago my family doctor who has been retired for many years, told me that generic Valium was weak. He hated generics. I think physicians believe the propaganda they get from the pharmaceutical companies. Doctors are over booked and tired and they have no compassion for those with chronic pain. There are exceptions but how do we find those doctors? The newer younger doctors have been trained to avoid prescribing controlled substances.

Recently I complained about something in my file. They ask if I smoke or drink and I answered "No" They wrote "Denies smoking and drinking." I said that was hurtful and that it looked like they do not believe anything I say. I mentioned it and I was told that they are trained to write that down. What a horrible way to treat people. Pain management is not for me. We are guilty of being addicts from day one. It does not matter how little we take or how good our blood work looks. Addicts have elevations and doctors know an elderly person will not have the same blood work as a young person, but blood work does tell the story.

Life sucks.

I googled that and can't believe it. In this day and age we have pharmacists that look for "red flags"? I've been on them for over 8yrs and except for last years shortage have never had any problems. They can ask my doctors anything they like but if they choose to play games and delay or refuse to fill my script I will get what I need through other means, no problem. I will never give some pharmacy the power to cause me pain.

Sandy can you tell us which pharmacy has Qualitest? Walgreens says they only have Activis and that it is the branded Norco. After reading about the lies they tell , I would bet that they are not telling us the truth and they may order the cheaper inferior brand to save money.

Beagle I also can find what I need and by pass the BS. So far I have been told Norco 10 by Activis is the best. I know that is 100% false.

Jasmine, I now get mine through Express Scripts mail order as my insurance company requires we use them. I have Anthem Blue Cross insurance. I get a 90-day supply for $10. Otherwise, you need to ask the pharmacists in your area if they carry it. Sometimes they will tell you. I would steer clear of Walgreens with all the issues they have and create. It is so hard with the FDA getting involved in re-rating these medicines that it makes those of us who truly need pain meds. feel like criminals. Just don't be afraid to ask. I looked it up and Zylon is 10 mg hydrocodone and 200 mg of Ibuprofen. It is not indicated for bone pain or dental pain. IMHO I think Hydro with Tylenol is safer to take.
My stomach cannot handle NSAIDS. Your pharmacist will answer any questions you have.

Beagle, you have said it all in a nutshell! God bless you. I have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning to start my day, and if it weren't for the Qualitest Norco, I would be in bed probably all day. That is no way to live, and as I am only 62, I have a lot of life to live yet. I do not want to spend it in bed! Take care, my friend.

Ask for Vicophrofen or name brand in Vicodin. None of the gereric Norcos seem to work for chronic pain anymore. Norco will probably cover a toothache on a one time prescription, but chronic pain, NOTTA.

I think Activis is the company that bought out Watson. They had stopped making yellow Watson 853 before that and made a white one. Watson 853 was yellow and was the best out there to reduce pain. I wish they were still around. It's too bad they won't let you try a few.

They lie and say they are out of medication. They are now faced with the opposite legal cases. It looks like pain patients are hiring lawyers now.

CVS is worse. The female pharmacist was nasty. I quit using them and they lost a lot of money. I spend hundreds every month on household supplies and personal products, shampoo vitamins etc. They will see how their profits go way down.

IK when I do my upper back there's a lil relief but omg my lower kidney area!! Catch 20 with RA, OSTEOPORSIS, A LUNG THAT STAYS COLLAPSED!!! KNEES WITH NO CARTILAGE, JUST PAIN. I WAS PRESCRIBED MS COTIN 12 HR RELEIF BUT COMFORTABLY NUMB. COULDN'T FUNCTION!! SO WHAT ARE YA GOING TO DO?? SUCKS

I finally found a Walgreens that will take care of me. I had bad luck with CVS. I think it depends on the state and also how much business we do with a pharmacy. I have diabetes so they get a lot of business from me.
