Generic Buprenorphine 54 411 Vs M 924 (Page 5) (Top voted first)

Updated

I've been going to a clinic for almost a year now and each time I get prescribed 8mg Subutex. When I would fill my prescription I would receive 54 411 white tablets. Today when I picked it up I got M 924 white tablets. The only difference I've found is the manufacturer. The manufacturer for the 54 411 is ROXANE and for the M 924 is MYLAN. Are they pretty much the same pill just different imprint/manufacturer?

Why not I been on these subutex m924s for at least 3 or 4 year now. I can't tell the difference from the roxanne5411 s just that the Roxanne's 5411s were a little more potent that I was on, before I got in the Milo m924s.

I go to a clinic and there are times that what I have left of my script, no matter where I hide it, will disappear and as a patient of Buprenorphine for going on 6 years now I have tried a little of every make and model and I think those are the better ones I have had. I like them pretty good but my doc wouldn't prescribe me subutex if I was dying. It is hard to get in clinics here unless it's a pregnant woman.

First off bath salts wouldn't be smart, second off blame the doctors and not the addicts. most people with real pain problems get hooked bc the pain bc they need them everyday so the same would happen to you. sorry your having pain, it is absolutely horrible for you. but less frustration on the addicts, they should be congratulated for becoming sober. one problem may be tougher than another but to another person it's not. Some people are stronger than others. so to them they are crying themselves to sleep with a needle laying beside them trying not to pick it back up bc they have pain in their life regardless of what it is. so your problem is with the doctors? and I have a suggestion, pray, get close to the Lord. n try subutex if that's all they can offer u. better than salts n better than nothing. methadone seems better for you except it turns u into a hermit mentally. and with subutex u can take something with and it will only enhance it for you. I know some sub places will prescribe nerve meds as well. maybe see if u can get both... until u find what u want that is.

Lots of people just find a dealer and take H like everybody else. I'm obviously joking, although your pain would melt away in about fifteen seconds. That's the point. That's why this whole problem exists in the first place. Because heroin does what it's supposed to do, it takes the pain away - BOTH physical pain as well as mental pain such as sad thoughts, depression, anxiety, or old memories that still burn hot and painful. That's why people do it ... to take their pain away.

NOW as we all know this never lasts and always ends in disaster but IMO it's not even the heroin that's ever been the problem. At least personally, if I had, which was most of the time, I could get more done and be happier doing it than I ever could have even as a normal person that I myself even once was. The problem isn't the H, it is the LACK of the H that's the issue - but anyway dunno why I'm writing this part, just bored I guess.

So onto your conundrum, I've thought about answer for you from every angle I could. Considered every available and REALISTIC option available to someone in your position. The only answer for you is methadone maintenance. Unlike buprenorphine which really has nothing to do with actual plain relief...(at least not much and especially not for someone like you)...as well as 10mg percocets, even if it was a few times a day, probably wouldn't do much except maybe like a 17% decrease in pain for about 57 seconds a few times a day.

I'm someone who has fallen into the vicious setup of my generation that is opiate addiction, which is another topic. It all comes down to money. You might be surprised, u might not, but opiates are where the $$ is at in so many ways from the obvious to the ones you haven't or couldn't consider. K, getting off topic, jeez I might be coming of as an a-hole, it's just this particular epidemic has ravaged almost everyone I know.

So in conclusion I gave it a lot of thought and in the world we live in, sad as it may be, nothing you can do. The beauty of it is you aren't an addict, you are a straight up citizen, not an addict. So although the dose they start you at may note do much, the funny thing with methadone is it's one of those weird drugs where they somehow are just allowed to keep raising it. Simply say it's not working and they will always raise it up every time you go for your visit.. Every f***in time. And trust and believe girl that at some point the number will be reached where u ain't gonna feel pain. It'll even last when u wake up, you'll be making pancakes for hubby before he goes and plays with his plants.

Anyway sorry for the typos I am seriously tired right now and refuse to go back and fix. But yeah, I know that's not an answer u want to hear or one you will probably even consider to the stigma. But as someone who knows the whole dealio and realistic if u want actual pain relief to fix your life that's your only real answer in today's society. S****y, I know, but they'll give u enough for it eventually where you won't hurt. Oh yeah, and since you're a citizen and not a street abuser, u won't have to be in the clinic line every morning, they'll just give you take homes. Anyway, good luck, but I'm not seeing any other way, and if u already did the bupe thing, then hey - do something that'll work hun...

They are the same. Some pharmacies changed cause they were cheaper to buy than the 54/411. That's all.

Hello Guys, I'm new to this page so bare with me! I've been on suboxone \ subutext for about a little over a year now. Recently was switched from the sub strips to the small white round 8mg tabs subutex, I'm not quiet sure which brand they were but I did like them much better then the suboxone strips!! 4 years ago I got heavily into Percocets taking about 10 30 mg pills a day, ruined my life!! I had to get off these horrible but yet so amazing drug, So I talked to my doc and 3 years later I'm in this crazy medicated world we all know too well, SUBOXONE. I struggle day to day, in fear that this Med controls my life and I'm never going to be able to get off if it and be who I once was. I miss the old me, I miss the fun and patient, calm, loving, Amanda I use to know??. I mean I'm not depressed, I still enjoy life and live day to day doing what needs to be done, I just find my self reacting differently towards a lot stuff! I have 0 patience and get overwhelmed start panicking whenever I'm around people or trying to do a chore and get side tracked so easily.. Dose this happen to anyone else's? Also I'm still dealing with my addictions, I'm not doing Percs anymore but a couple times a week I find my self taking more of my subutex than prescribed, and taking them like I would take my percs. I hate it!! Now that my meds have changed yet another time, I have the oval orange 8mg subutex pills. They're much bigger then my small white ones, help me get thru these crazy urges to abuse my subs. I know it's still 'using' and not being clean like I should be!!

Patirnt123,
Yes, they are exact same just different manufactures. The M imprint is mylan as u said and seems to work better. It's the fillers. But, they work as the other ones. Hope this helps. Also, they have orange oval subutex at Walgreen's.

You can use an RX Savings Card and get really great discounts. Target was only 98.00 for 60 subutex. I don't know what brand they are. I think mylan 924 and Roxanne 411 pill are both very effective. I went to Kroger and they had HiTech brand it was 102.00 for 60 tablets. Walgreens was around 98.00. The prices may vary just a lil bit. Kroger was suppose to be 78.00 for 60 pills but it was 102.00. Still very cheap to CVS 170.00 but I took the HiTech brand back and I know it was all in my head, but they were the smallest pill ever and when you have to split it it was a big deal to me. Taking a lil speck verses Roxanne or Mylan pill. They were much better mentally in my head. So I'm going to call target and some of the other pharmacies that I was able to use coupons at. I know Target, Kroger, Walgreens all had coupons available but there were several more and the pharmacies do take the coupons when you show them. Without the coupons it was unreal.

Hey I'm sorry about your pain, I don't know what you're goin through. I take sub for opiate addiction, but I have friends and family who have chronic pain and from what I've heard, if your dr isn't helping you, wont give what you need etc., tell them. If they still won't listen, don't take any scripts from them, they won't help anyways, and go to another dr, and try again. Hopefully you find one that will help. As long as you don't take anything from your current dr (no Rx's to last you until you find another one, that is technically illegal) you can look for a dr that will help you for what you need help with. There might be a dr out there that can help you, but you usually have to find em for yourself. Good luck :)

I just got the 924s today. To me they work as good if not better than the 54s. The oval orange ones are horrible. If any of them have toxins it's the orange ones u can tell from the taste of them.

Hi, I realize this was written a year ago but I live in Salt Lake City as well as for just the last 3 years. I'd love to connect you with my doctor. He is amazing truly, flexible, understanding, doesn't downplay your condition and will absolutely give you what you need, to a legal extent obviously. He doesn't accept insurance. It's a discrete professional office. I hope you get this message. I am on bupreborphine aka subutex and I have been for 2 years. I have made the mistake of telling doctors in the past that the first 2 years- when I was 20-21.... that I was prescribed it for addiction. Now back in my home state they won't even prescribe me anymore because I admitted that, which I learned is a mistake to volunteer too much info I guess. Apparently FORMER addicts aren't allowed to be treated for pain conditions 10 yrs down the road in Illinois. They clearly want opiates on the street and not something as safe as subutex (as long as you don't mix with benzos - which is a no brainer anyhow). Pain management wasn't even heard of. The past 9 years I've been on it for pain management, at first for osteoarthritis in the lower back. Always feeling lousy about being chemically dependent. I weaned myself off them with no withdrawal- zero, in January... So I got passed the mental aspect... only to rediscover that I couldn't live without them about 3 months later when the pain from my newly discovered by X-ray lumbar degenerative disc disease was so unbearable I couldn't sleep. Took a different docs advice and got the spinal shots when I moved back to Illinois in feb and tried to find a doc but they refused. Ever since, I went from moderate pain prior to always severe after the shots. Now I've come to grips that I'll be taking it the rest of my life and I fly back to Utah once a month. It's truly amazing what that little crumb of chemical can do in regards to changing your quality of life and mobility. Anyways, enough about me, write me back about anything you would like to find out about the doctor. I just saw him yesterday and he told me to spread the word bc he needs new patients. He got a new license. The office has 2 doctors and it's right on the sandy/draper divide, kitty corner from lone peak hospital in these wooden log cabin looking offices on the west side of state street just before the draper peaks cinnemark. They're just about to move, I can give you the new location or you can call them - comprehensive medical. Google dr Timothy Schaat in sandy/draper and he's in there mon, wed and thurs. Michael is the nurse practitioner who just got licensed to dispense, he just told me yesterday. Michael is the new one who told me to spread the word. But Tim is my main one who actually allows me to consume marijuana. He did his residency in Colorado so he has a broader more laid back approach, way less anal than any other one I've ever had anywhere. And the cvs in south towne mall inside the target filled all 75 of mine without insurance for $149.99. With a discount card I saved 60%. Good luck and feel free to ask me anything. Cheers.

I have been taking these orange oblong ones with the half moon, those are crap, no good whatsoever... Not only horribly tasting but they just did NOT work as well as the white ones. I finally went to my pharm today, and received the M 924 and I couldn't be happier. In further detail: I was previously getting the Roxanne brand for over a year, then out if the blue last month my pharm only had the crappy oblong orange half moons, then this month I got the M 924 from my pharm, they seem to work just as great as the Roxanne brand. I honestly can't say I notice a difference. I guess it all depends on the person, brain chemistry etc..IMO!! I'm happy with the M 924, personally!! :-D
