Does Suboxone Show Up On A Laboratory Urine Test (Page 4) (Top voted first)
UpdatedDoes suboxone show up in laboratory tests? It is urine that the lab tests so will it show up? Please give me an answer as soon as possible. It is really important!!! I'm desperate :(
Omg forgot a part, so tied up in trying to word it on here. It should be {edited for privacy} Try again and let me know. Ttyl girl! Everyone else, have a fantastic monday.....
Sub not not show on a 5 panel druug screen. Happy to say starting work Monday morning. Passed test was negative.
i am on 6mg of suboxone and am going to quit cold turkey is it as bad as if i were detoxing from opiates that caused me to have to take the suboxone ???
Ash, you have been missed. Iss ya on here but you never got back after i sent you on the other name, you said you were busy n would get back to me but hmmm?? My heart is broken...j/k how are ya babe? And of course this device has my other name from one informed chic but you know its trish i hope!!
Ok ash, i resent it to both adrs i have for u. Hope u get at least one of em lol

Cool, how low of a dose did you get to before stopping?
It's all in your insurance.
So ash? where you are does test? where is your state?haha
what if it was just a tiny piece like not even 1mg?
can you help me figure out what to search to figure it out? like what do i say on the search haha or how do i find out exactly what i am being tested for at the drug test place.
Arkansas is this Markee that was wondering? It varies not state to state but jurisdiction to jurisdiction. I do know that the one state that makes suboxone testing mandatory, and has for years, is Maryland, in all aspects of their criminal justice system. You're going to have to get creative, if you think they do test and it may be in your system still try to prolong visit/appt for a week. Out of town/at work etc. Hell say you work out of town. Anyways, my best advice for anyone on paper is pay it off as fast as possible, if you have fines make a Payment of 25-50 bux a month, pay it before any reviews and most courts will push your review date for another month even. Pay your fines, got community service have someone write it off or get it done and you'll usually be let off early, as long as you're not a serious or repeated offender.
Hope my seasoned experience of everything reprehensible of our so called justice system helps someone else lol.
I'm in Gloucester county nj and had a saliva swab test for probation and take 4mg a day...got results back today and came back negative
Everyone needs to understand that these questions really cannot be answered. Every place (employer, probation, pain management doctors etc) all use different tests and every state is different. I'm in new york and my bf always passes his drug test for felony probtion and he has suboxone in his system.
yes i had a few set aside to take before i went to the dr. do you know if the lab test are just more advanced? i appreciate you getting back to . i have just heard that sub part ot it stayes in your system a long time. do you mind me asking how you know this?
I just made an appointment to go see a doctor about getting off pain pills...I told them I thought id prefer subsuboxone over sobeys just because suboxone isnt a pill...I quickly changed my mind after they told me the price diffence...also they said suboxone are mainly for people who CANT SAY NO....so if you REALLY want to quit pain pills then the sobeys should work...and all you have to do is mention which one you prefer...they are there to help you...not criticize you...so they should make you feel comfortable while your talking to them about anything :-)
FACT: I have been on suboxone for 3 yrs total off and on. I know this is an old post , but I wanted to chime in and give my facts that I know are correct as of October 2014. Suboxone will NOT show up on any test given by a physician in his/ her office. Unless , they are a pain mgmt. dr. In that case they will test for sub and methadone. So for any other test by a regular physician or even a sub doc for that matter will usually not have the test for sub on hand and will have to send to a lab if they suspect something. Every dr is different in this approach. Now to lab testing, as of 2014 the labs do not have to have a request from a dr to test for EVERYTHING in your system. Different labs differ of course. But they will test for everything and everything abusable and stuff that you don't abuse I.e. Heart meds. So labs will find it. Most typical docs will give the 11-12 panel or whatever test they give. Suboxone tests are seperate tests and highly expensive. For the exception of pain mgmt docs. SUB WILL NOT SHOW UP ON A REGULAR Urine screen. Bottom line. They have a seperate test for it and now may be included in some ridiculous 15 panel test or some s*** like that. But again highly expensive. BUT remember labs will find everything in your urine you have done in the time frame from that drugs half life to complete elimination which is different for every drug. So be sure on what test your going to be enduring and then you will know the answer. PASS or FAIL. This is not a rookie talking. This has , and always will be a cat and mouse game in which we are all pawns in. GOOD LUCK with everything. My info comes straight from connects from docs and lab workers I personally know. This is not some BS guessing and trying to make you feel better. These are facts. So when told a urine screen is in the future, STOP right then. Trust me , I know , easier said than done, but in cases like probation and court orders, stop! !!, or go to jail. Just that simple. I hate seeing false and incorrect info that some people say on these forums. And in this post , a lot more than usual , most people are correct in their responses. Not bashing or judging anyone. I'm an addict and always will be and still am. Just not opiates anymore. On to another addiction or monkey on my back (benzos) , but have learned to take extreme caution and take as prescribed. Anyways, that's enough. Good luck to you all. Drugs are GREAT , but in the end, it will ruin your life and honestly it's not worth it. It's taken me 15 yrs to realize this and it will always be an endless cycle. You can be clean , but always will be an addict. Stay safe my friends , use caution , and common sense. HOPE THiS HELPS SOMEONE.
@Masontry, I read your novel lol. I'm a fan of adderall novel writing myself;)
Hi Jenn, I've been having issues attempting to advise people that YES, A LOT of probation depts do test for suboxone! And while I agree with most that Masonry below is saying, he/she is undoubtedly wrong when advising people that suboxone is an expensive and completely different test than the standard. Bupe is included on the immediate test urine results, this can differ jurisdiction to jurisdiction/county etc. I have seen jurisdictions in Cuyahoga cty test while the jurisdiction next door does not. I believe this is a formality that will end up with standardized suboxone testing in all judicial departments by the end of 2015.
Thanks so much for the response! I do have new info as far as Lake County, Ohio, felony probation:
As of right now, NO this department does not. While I'm sure they're probably late to the party it is not currently on their standard weekly urine tests. However, if they decide to send the urine to the lab, they will find it. Example, if your urine is diluted & they have suspicions, they will send it out. But for now standard Monday test does not.
Thanks again! Much appreciated Ash!
Ash is right, Including Jenn. They both have right answers. It does depend on who the test is for and why your taking it. While Ash is right, saying I was "Undoubtedly wrong" about Suboxone being expensive, that is now true as of 2015. Since Subutex, Suboxone, etc. made its debut in early 2000's, all the way up to 2013 and most of 2014, It was Outrageously expensive to get suboxone(buprenorphine/naloxone), or Subutex(buprenorphine) tests. The doctors, the Government (probation, court ordered, child custody, Methadone programs, etc.), pain mgmt., whatever your tested for and by whom, had to pay a great deal of money to acquire special tests for buprenorphine. Now, as of 2015, as JENN stated, it just depends on where you live In the US and whether or not that jurisdiction, independent and private doctors , whatever, Is willing to pay for 12 panel tests that DO test for (BUP)(BUPE)< if your able to look at your test, and you see those three or sometimes four letters on the lid or side/ wherever then you will know if your being tested for Buprenorphine(Suboxone, Subutex, etc.) I get tested by two different doctors every month and have had a "Professional Testing Center" , which was far from professional, test me within the past 2 months. FYI: I'M IN EAST TN--********-( MAINLY):-*-*-*-*-*-*-* For those of you concerned about Sub(BUP/E) showing up on a urine test, that they read right then, and do NOT send it off to a lab,,, depending on where you are, and what/who its for......
ITS A PASS OR FAIL SITUATION (50/50%)-*-*-*-*-*-*-* For those of you who are concerned about SUB showing up on a test that's sent to a LAB, YOU WILL FAIL. They will find anything and everything in your system. Since Suboxone lost its 7-year patent hold, which was in 2012-maybe 2013, the prices have dropped on Brand Suboxone-- urine screening tests, and NOW A LOT of 12 panels Test for Buprenorphine, due to the fact other companies are swooping in with cheaper generics, so RECKITT has to keep up with newer, cheaper, competition, mainly Zubsolv (buprenorphine/naloxone) by Orexo labs, which I will be trying next month. Check It out if your on sub with no insurance as am I, which is NOT CHEAP!! Weird doses, but same drug, with I hear, a menthol taste instead of horrible orange 8mg, and lemon/lime 2mg strips. One doctor I go to has a 12 panel that does test for it, which is my Sub doc, go figure. My other doctor, Psychiatrist also has a 12 panel which does NOT test for Buprenorphine. The "professional test" for employment, also 12 panel, did NOT test for Buprenorphine. Doctors and patients used to have this thing called doc/patient confidentiality, which sub was created and let on the market for. So you could go confidentially to a private physician and be able to be prescribed subutex or suboxone PRIVATELY, subutex was mainly used for rehabs, but some doctors still rx it. A LOT of dr's , including mine, will not rx subutex. Suboxone is now the main rx of choice for dr's b/c, ( Buprenorphine is a partial agonist at the mu opioid receptor and an antagonist at the kappa receptor. It has very high affinity and low intrinsic activity at the mu receptor and will displace morphine, methadone, and other opioid full agonists from the receptor.
While naloxone a Full on Antagonists also bind to opioid receptors, but instead of activating receptors, they effectively block them. Antagonists do not activate receptors, and they prevent receptors from being activated by agonist compounds. An antagonist is like a key that fits in a lock but does not open it and prevents another key from being inserted to open the lock All this stuff was a days worth for about 6-9 months , blurry so don't know the time frame. As you may know , you can take methadone with other opiates or opioids and achieve more euphoria, the same goes with Subutex. But if you are addicted to full agonists like the ones listed above, and take SUBOXONE without letting withdrawal of the other opiates/oids set in, after about ten to fifteen minutes, You will go straight to hellish WD. This happened to me when trying to switch ove from methadone to suboxone. I didn't give myself enough time. I took 4 mg or half a strip 3 days after stopping methadone bc I felt like I was in wd. I had no idea what was about to happen. Pretty much , it was like someone hit the wd switch , body went flush, I couldn't stand up, hot/cold at the same time, pains, cramps, RLS, insomnia, leg pain like never before, etc....... so don't do that lol. Therefore the drug was created to not show up on urine screens, and labs couldn't test for it unless asked directly by physician. Now, of course, with our lovely president and the attack on our American rights and Amendments; basically all of them, Confidentiality has been thrown out the window. Now labs can test for everything without permission needed. Suboxone is no longer confidential. I don't know if this info will help anybody, but Im just trying to help. I have been an addict since 13, ASH- I am a male. 27 now. 14 years of researching anything and everything I put in my body. "DRUGS". Combinations, what not to take together and what I could take together, anything to do with any drug.
This is my second time around with suboxone. First was 18 months long, quit it, stayed clean for about 6 more months, then took 1 hydro and it snowballed like a MotherF***** ,AGAIN, from there, used hardcore for 5-6 months. Decided to try methadone. That S*** is a TRAINRECK waiting to happen. If it works for you, im happy for you and good luck, and I mean that. I was on that for 2 months and got up to 140 mgs, decided to quit it bc it made me so out of it, I thought I was fine, but apparently everyone around me knew I was 'gone', even though I was trying to get clean. Anyways this post is long enough, but stopping methadone and transitioning to sub after only 2 months was the worst experience of my life. Worse than withdrawing from 2 - 100 mcg fentanyl patches a day+200 mg morphine banged+ OC and roxy how many ever I could get ahold of + anything else I could get, Xanax, klon, etc. All this stuff was a days worth for about 6-9 months , blurry so don't know the time frame.. You name it I did it. This is not to brag what so ever, this is to let people know I am not a rookie user typing BS to all of you people who want to get clean. I know a lot from all the research ive done, I AM NOT A DR. and never claimed to be, im a fellow addict who wants to help. That's why I joined this thread.
As of now I have been clean for almost two years now. excluding my legit psych scripts and sub I HAVE to take now because of years of abuse and damage to my brain and its receptors. They are so F'ed up now I have horrible social anxiety, GAD, ADD, probably bipolar. who knows. Don't hold me to correct dates on everything, I don't claim to know everything, Just here to help if I can. In conclusion, im sorry this is so long, ******(BUT: ASH, JENN, and Lee THE GREAT are all right. Things have changed.******* . Rehab 3 times, OD 4 times. A lot of people on here and out there have more experience than me, no doubt, and again Im not here to sound smart or brag. I'm also not a rookie in this game of life and death. Yes, the thread is about drug tests and SUB, I apologize for digressing, Im not gonna say, "the best thing to do is just quit, and then you wont have to worry about drug tests." Yeah right, I wish it were that easy and people seem to think it is, but real addicts know and want to tell those people to F- OFF. Once an addict , always an addict. Be safe and follow leeTHEGREAT's advice, read your med info, Research stuff and be knowledgeable about things you take. MODERATION IS KEY< AND COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE. I owe my brother mine.
I am on 16 mg of Suboxone for daily maintenance. I am in a program as well. I have a legitimate and Legal prescription every month. I applied for a nursing position. I was given a Labcorp lab sheet. The test they will be taking is a 10 panel urine DRUG screen. I researched all the substances that they test for but suboxone is not one of them. However, they do test for methadone. I have read that methadone and suboxone are both in the same drug class. Will the suboxone show on this test? I need to know so that I can offer an explanation to employer before being tested, if in fact the 10 panel urine drug screen will show positive for suboxone. PLEASE HELP ASAP I am supposed to go for test today.
