I have to get drug tested at my methadone clinic, and I was wondering if soma will show up on my urinalysis? I've heard that after metabolizing it can appear as a benzo which would not be good for me as I haven't taken any in over a year. Does anyone have purely factual or proven information to help shed some light on the subject?

Soma contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol, which is a muscle relaxant and, as itself, is not something that is included on standard drug tests.

However, it has been know to cause false positives, but not for Benzodiazepines, the false positive it is known to cause is for Morphine.

Whether or not it shows up as a false positive depends o what type of test they use. Not all of them show false positives, because some are more precise, but the cheaper tests are pretty well known for it.
