Doctors Willing To Prescribe Xanax In New Jersey (Page 12)
UpdatedI suffer from severe panic attacks on a daily basis. im a perfect example of a person that needs medicine and is unable to get it because of so many people abusing prescription drugs. I have such severe anxiety and panic attacks and cant find a doctor to prescribe me xanax because im only 25 and its so addicting. but what they dont understand that i should be on xanax for the rest of my life because my anxiety is so bad. So if any1 knows a doctor in the monmouth county area of new jersey that will prescribe me xanax please let me know...thank u
Re: Leslie (# 188)
No they won't Leslie. I went to Stress Care in Manalapan. They treated me like a criminal and asked. They said if I took a U/A maybe in three weeks that they'd prescribe meds. Stay away from Stress Care in Manalapan.
Re: cody (# 21)
What's your doctor's name?
Re: jaydee (# 25)
Is your doctor's name Dr. Rosen?
Did you ever find a dr? Om 72 and my dr retired without a word. Been on xanax since im 32. Ptsd and anxiety and hsd cancers 3x. They told me the new drs that i have to stay on for life or i can have a seizure and die. But they wont renew my pills. I never abuse them or over take the dosage
Im terribly scared.
Re: Bklyngidget (# 224)
If you have been on Xanax for 40 years and are 72 perhaps its best that you discontinue this medicine eventually, as this problem will happen again with another Doctor someday. Why not look into an inpatient program, there are also excellent resources for Withdrawal . DO NOT stop them Cold Turkey as you can become very sick, see your E.R if this happens, I know I did, and they asked if I could stay the week
Hi. I've been experiencing high levels of anxiety and frequent panic attacks.. Its affecting my job which I am at risk of losing after 30 years. Need xanax or similar.
Re: Mike (# 223)
Dr. Rosen in Woodbridge?
Re: Mikeyshades (# 227)
Can you give me the full name? Is it Jeffrey Rosen?
Re: dave (# 43)
Hey just seeing what is the name and area of your doc that prescribes bars ? I have severe anxiety and depression and used to be on 3mg of xanax a day need to get back on them? Thnx
Re: Perfectly Me (# 217)
No you are wrong. I have to stay on it for life or have a seizure and die. At 72 the withdrawal would kill me. I am not in rebound....you're nuts. You don't have a medical degree. A social worker did same thing to me when i was diagnosed with breast cancer. She tore down all that surgeon told me...she was FIRED!!
UNLESS you have had panic attacks and have ptsd from being hit by a car in the head ..DONT SPEAK TO WHAT YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT!
I have daily panic attacks trouble sleeping severe anxiety multiple times a day it’s been going on I lost my job and it’s affecting my life I’ve tried multiple medications nothing seems to work
Re: mamabear (# 96)
I was a patient of Dr So.. He was a great Doctor @ 1st.. The 1st yr he had me on proper meds, clonazepam 1mg 4times daily (120 a mo.). He suddenly dropped me to 1mg 3 times daily which totally knocked me out of order. He changed another med also, which made it worse. I wouldn't recommend going to him.
I’m I live in Virginia and I’m having the same issue. I can’t find a doctor that will prescribe my zanex prescription
Re: Giillian (# 200)
No...not all addicted..some are really ill with anxiety and or ptsd.I have disability for ptsd. Dont group people please.
Re: Perfectly Me (# 217)
I understand completely. I've been on 1mg Klonopin 3 times a day for 25 yrs; I'm 45 now.. And you are right. I've had a brain hemmorhage & cancer.. I know what you mean when you say rebounding.. I felt like I was an addict; still do. I can't find a Dr who will properly ween me off of them. I do need them; but it's just not worth it anymore. I ran out 2days early & had a seizure... I've suffered from Bipolar Disorder also since I was 12.. But I know now Im not abusing them. I wish that there was a Dr I could find that would ween me off over 3 MOS.... 1 month just doesn't work! I appreciate your post
Re: Verwon (# 1)
No he might actually need it for life. Several doctors told me that I have to stay on it for life. Tried lexapro, zoloft etc...only xanax has been a lifesaver. Dont go over my prescribed dose...only renew once a month....without it I would be home bound. ..it gave me my life back.
Re: Bklyngidget (# 230)
I concur...i'm 73 and was on 40 mg of valium for many years then switched to 2mg lorazepam 3x day for the last 35(?) years......never needed more, never wanted more....now psychiatrist is retiring...scared sh*tless trying to find a new doc who will maintain my prescription..difficult because the fools in Congress don't understand the difference between opioids and benzodiazepines....yes they are addictive...and so is metformin to diabetics and beta blockers for heart arrhythmias. Benzos were never intended to be a recreational drug....people with panic disorder and general anxiety require them to function in a normal life....its disgusting whats happening.
Re: Lee (# 235)
There is stress care of nj very good place to help wean you off any Dr but desantos is the best takes all insurance call bc covid I'm ex patient hated the place bc went against my hips and took someone who called in yet they couldn't tell me who it was but call they'll help
Doctors are reigning in the amount of benzo prescriptions they write due to the abuse potential and addiction they create. After a few weeks the medicine stops working and the only relief you feel is the fact your not going into withdrawl. Nobody should be on any benzo for life as they destroy your gaba system and are linked to cognitive decline and even early onset dementia. You sound like exactly the type of case that proves the fact benzos are a disastous medication to be addicted to. After a few weeks on it the origional symptoms they masked actually get worse and you suffer rebound anxiety and severe withdrawl. Nobody should be on them for life and the medical community is now starting to stop prescribing them and are tapering people off them. Alprazolam are good once in a while for panic attacks but as for lifelong use they are terrible.
Re: Helium (# 239)
Try not to provide your opinions as facts. I have been on the same dosage of benzos since it was first prescribed for anxiety attacks back in 1967...I've never needed more...thats my personal experience but not necessarily for others.....yes, they are addictive ...but so are many medications because without them people without taking Metaformin for their diabetes.....people with heart rhythm disorders taking beta blockers....are lost..they are on them for life. Symptoms i was put on benzos never got worse..in fact many disappeared forever...others remained but never got worse......again, if these things have happened to you..present them as your experience rather than scaring the people on this forum by presenting them as facts. They are not.
