I need a doctor in the pgh area. I have had 11 back surgeries, chronic pain and anxiety. My pcp gave me a month to find one... Please help.

I live in Hubbard ohio an the dr I used to go see has moved an went to PA but none of the pharmacy will fill any of his scripts do you know any good DR in Boardman Ohio or Warren Ohio or Pittsburgh PA need dr to fill my roxi 30mg an my soma anyone with any info please let me know

Hi. I live in HONESDALE pa. What's your doctor's NAME that prescribed you the ROXICODONE? I am going through PHYSICAL therapy em right now without meds. I broke my back twice and the pain doc I see only gives inj's. which doesn't help at all. Where in pa did that doctor move to? And what's his or her name? Keikeeo and/or anyone else that can help, I fell 36 ft in 2011 and have severe chronic pain at 30. My Dr. retired and I've been going to a pain clinic but the took away my 10 mg 4 x's a day oxycodone and now I'm only on 50 mcg fet patches I've been on 2 years and aren't working anymore but they have yet to change my meds I can't eat barely at all or sleep I'm at my wits end to the point I just don't want to live like this anymore because this isn't living.

I dunno how to share info but here's my email {edited for privacy}. Please help, someone if you can. I'm extremely desperate and would truly appreciate it, thanks. P.s. I'm in PA mainly New Castle but occasionally am in Franklin...regardless I'll drive a couple hours to get and have a decent dr., someone who cares and can or will help me.

Hey My name is Christina. Im a single mother of four. 4 years ago I was crossing the street and an suv failed to stop and hit me. I ended up in the ER for almost a week. My first year I was on percocet 15s and then 30s. I moved up the mountains, & moved back almost 2 years ago... these past 2 i have literally seen close to 10 DRS. A few wull presribevme the lowest dose possible and then refer me to someone, who refers me to someone else. These past 2years has literally been a struggle for me. I gave up for a little while fell into deep depression. 4months ago I tried a new DR he has veen prescribing me perc 5s. My last visit 2/26 he prescribed me 60 perc 5s and told me that is my last script. He ferret me to 2 different Drs one doesnt take my insurance & neither will take cash. The past 2 weeks I have searched google and called MANY doctores and none are raking bew patients. Could you please help me? I need to get my life back. I'm missing out on so much, & ill never be able to get this back. Im trying so hard ! 4 months ago I finally started to get my life back and once again its being ripped from me ;(

im in South Central Pa and need a doctor in my area. I live close to Chambersburg but could go to Gettysburg or Carlise. I had major surgery almost a yr ago and still can hardly walk. I was on 30s for almost 10 years and methadone.

Can you give me a Dr in Pittsburgh Pa that will write oxycodone 10 mg to 30 mg. I have severe gout disorder that causes unbearable pain. All of my joints have large tophei on them and causing disability. Thank you

Thanks so much Keikei I appreciate it. What all kinds of Dr's/titles can treat pain and will or can legally write pain meds?
I'm sorry I understand completely I had the same thing happen to me with a psychiatrist that I'd went to for 6 to 8 years he got busted doing all sorts of weird crazy disgusting things thankfully the psychiatrist I found after that was completely amazing and didn't treat me like I was a culprit or deviant because I had been a patient.

Happy new year Kmay. Anyway, I hope it's a happy one for you! I've been "off line" for awhile & I see many folks are searching for a good pain specialist. Unfortunately, the clinic I'd been a patient of for 5 years was "raided" by DEA, The Pharmacy Board, the agency that investigates Medicare Fraud(FBI?) & hmmm, it seems there's one more I can't remember the name right now. The clinic was closed for a week then it seemed things were back to normal as he & the physician he employed(a neurologist with a VERY colorful & flawed past)were back in the office, business as usual. Not so much. No Pharmacist in the state of Ohio would touch his prescriptions therefore if you were treated with narcotics you're s.o.l.. I was s.o.l..Thankfully, my primary care physician kept me from going into withdrawals by writing my prescription while getting me into a new clinic. Well, the new clinic was so busy I was given an appointment with the PA. The PA with THE most sarcastic, uncaring, patronizing, pathetic outlook for a medical professional I've ever seen or heard of. Your worst nightmare. She literally left me in the exam room with the door wide open while she practically cursed out the person responsible for giving me an appointment in the first place. Apparently it's guilt by association. Association of the now closed clinic! I'd brought with me literature about the syndrome I have since most Dr's I've met aren't that familiar with it. So she proceeds to tell me that prescription pain medications "AREN'T EVEN RECOMMENDED" for what I have. Well gosh, where were you when I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis in 1994, going on to pain management care while living in NC for 6 years followed by 10 years of care from the Cleveland clinic and finally the past 4 years of care at the clinic nearer to my home in Boardman, Ohio. All those years I took opioid narcotic pain medication which allowed me to live a decent quality of life. Going to a job and contributing to the household. I also had to eat a special diet and get plenty of sleep in order to keep myself healthy. Such a long story! Ugh. Let me just say I've had to "start over" as far as seeing the Urologist, having treatments and procedures, including having all sorts of potions and poisons instilled in my bladder to no avail. My gp is such an amazing Dr I just could not bring myself to ask him to refill my narcotics for a fourth month and the Urologist referred me to another Dr at what I was told was one of the local hospitals. Guess what?! The Dr works out of the same office as the wicked witch of the north PA! There's Dr's in the area. Google or use your browser & type in "pain management specialist in ______(your area). Then I'd check the medical board website for your state by typing the physician's name in the search box. Good luck to all. Happy new year. I hope this makes some sort of sense. Hopefully one day in the future I'll be better.

Help! Need pain doctor asap. chronic neck pain. have prescribing dr who won't up oxycodone for three years n insists on monthly injections that r making it worse n i know ur only supposed to have 3 a year or something like that. live in latrobe/greensburg area but will drive for real treatment.

I'm in New Castle PA 3 years ago fell 36 ft almost died and tons of problems I had a pain dr who retired and a month ago saw a dr who took me off my 40 mgs a day of oxycodone now I'm only on my 50 mcg fet patch which besides me withdrawling I'm in horrific pain and have a 7 month old which is extremely hard to care for atm more so I'm terrified I can't or won't find a pain dr who will write me meds because I called a few and saw one who are in the pain field however do not prescribe meds. I don't care if I have to drive an hour to two I'll do it for proper care because I can't and won't live like this I'm only 30 on Thursday this is ridiculous...anyway any help would be appreciated SO MUCH you have no idea! Thanks for your time.

can u please give me your dr's name. i have been going to dr's for years and they say im too young to be on meds bcause by the time im 70..they wont work!!!! i have mri's and all medical proof that my neck and back are screwed up

Hello. I have had a lot of the same issues as many have had. I was working at a great job when late july 2012 i was in a bad wreck, was t-boned. And now 2 years later i finally found an employer that looked beyond my liability. But now the meds my pcp prescribes arnt enough. I need to find a pain specialist that will rx something higher than 15mg oxycodone. Any help or insight will greatly be appreciated.
