I need a doctor in the pgh area. I have had 11 back surgeries, chronic pain and anxiety. My pcp gave me a month to find one... Please help.
Thank you Antman. I have been suffering so ungodly with these Cuts. I used to take for 60 mg morphine and he always only gave me 3 15 mg Roxy's. He never would go above that with the Roxy's but I do take Diclofenac and Duloxetine and Tizanidine for spasms as he told me he cannot prescribe morphine and Valium anymore as I used to take valium for my spasms and they were a godsend. He has cut me down by 80% on my medication and the results are so dramatic that I am like 95% in bed all the time and I'm just basically given up. Thank you for telling me this now I know it will be worth my while to find another doctor thank you so so very much.
Lisa no offense. Once u find another doctor.... Possibly a more compassionate doctor to write u more oxy being that's what we're paying for....we do need pain relief...u can tell your current doctor To shove it!!! Not literally but u know what I mean....Obama when he was in office refused to sign any bill restricting the amount of tablets and to To this day trump has no limits bill either... Your doctor is a coward that's why he's telling u this....to shut u up... there is no limit ..any med can be prescribed at any dosage to any patient by a licensed physician or pain specialist for a LEGITIMATE documented medical condition involving PAIN....there is no limit it's a suggestion...that only coward doctors follow sorry but it's the truth find a new doctor...I left my last doctor for the same reason capped me at 5 tens a day.... Would not raise me to 15 all the pain I was in... What did I do find the wonderful doctor that me and 2 other people on this post has found nobody gave him to me I made it a job to leave my coward doctor who by the way was 200 a month my new doctor of 3 years 80 per 2 weeks and accepts some instances....don't let him lie to u...they are suggestions lisa
Swish3
I just went back n saw ur post..... first off how did u get the drunk doc info? Who gave it to u?
Swish3
Hey swish3 i never saw a post from u. What is it that u asked me? have we ever even messaged b4 the message u just wrote?
Hey Carmine? Haven't heard back...would love some insight on the best day(s) to go?
All this mention about ProPublica. Is this a legitimate site that will direct a person-patient to a local Dr who will prescribe oxy if that person has a legitimate and verified chronic pain condition of severity? I'm asking before going through any misleading scam operations by sites that are very clever in deceiving people.

I have a question for you. My doctor told me that the limit for morphine is 90 mg per month. That means anything like Percocets or Roxicodone anything like that along with morphine adds up. So if you're saying you get 30 mg twice a day of morphine and then you get for 30 mg of something else will that goes way and above beyond the 90 mg because Percocet and Roxicodone are one and a half times stronger than morphine so they count as 1.5 times the milligram towards the morphine. You see what I'm saying so I don't understand how you guys are even able to get that much but God bless you if you are. My doctor is so strict I get 3 15 mg morphine's a day and three 10 mg oxycodones a day. Because that is the limit because if you multiply 1 1/2 x 30 mg that comes out to 45 mg of oxycodone which equals 45 mg of oxycodone and 45 mg of morphine a day that equals 90. That's supposed to be the limit in Pennsylvania and he told me no other doctor will give me anything more. This is after 30 years of Payne 3 surgeries screws and plates in my back and so many diseases I can't even list. I've been on here for quite a long time and I'm not trying to get anyone to give me a doctor because I understand the rules but I'm just totally shocked that somebody is getting more than the 90 mg of morphine allowed. Careful guys just watch your back because I'm hearing that so many places are shutting down because doctors are prescribing More Than This 90 mg allowed per month. Take care everybody and I hope everybody is doing well.
Antman
I know ur right i know two other people that go where i go n they wont do more then 4 a day... u know ive broken over 70 bones.. plus my back twice my pelvis once with a steal plate n 12 screw had to learn how to walk again plus a bunch of disc issues in my back.. plus shattered my wrist and lower arm where my bone snapped through my wrist and they had to put 6 pins in n a steel plate. Dont get me wrong im happy to have the 4 a day.... its hard now but from what i was on to this now it just doesnt cut it.....
Carmine, hope i got it right... I've been a patient for 3 years....that's the owners rules if they like u and trust you and your drug panels come back cool u could work your way up to the four 30's that me and you are currently prescribed.....while u get 2 of the long acting med per 12 hours .....so do i.....we both are at the owner's max....on long acting and short acting...i've never seen any of his patients say they got more than 4 a day...of any milligram 10/15/20/30. He has his limits due to the epidemic. He wants to keep his licence and stay open.
Carmine,
What would you consider the best day to go? Is it better to see the other doc first rather than the "drunk doc" as you guys have called him hahaha? I'd prefer to see whichever doc would be better to start but not sure exactly what days are best. Also is it better to call in advance to set something up? Don't worry, my lips are sealed. Just looking for the help I need. Would appreciate it man. I'd talk to you personally but that seems impossible here hah. Thanks a lot dude
Nikki

I have a question for you. I was wondering if there are certain days throughout the week that would be considered better than others. To you and Carmine, nothing to worry about with me. I totally understand your guys' viewpoint in regards to sharing this info with anyone, on here or otherwise. I have been searching for the proper help for YEARS. I am planning on attending the practice. I do know you mentioned one doctor is superior to the other at this practice. I would prefer to start with the good doctor. Again, neither of you need to worry about me speaking out. I'm merely looking for help as far as to when would be the best to attend. You will not see me dropping hints or anything of that magnitude. I probably wont see much reason to post here except to keep in touch with you. From previous posts, you know I have legitimate medical conditions that are in dire need of more treatment. If you can give me some insight on your experience as to which days may be the best/or worst to go, it would be greatly appreciated. Again, nothing to worry about with me, I can assure you on that. I'd never try to blow up someone's spot. It's hard enough to find the treatment you need to live a productive life. And not to sound selfish, but I am more occupied with getting my own things under control than to be doing anything such as shouting somewhere to go for all to see. Would truly appreciate the advice.
Thanks!
My husband has had 3 back surgeries and nerve pain in his legs. He was taken off Oxicontin and Oxycodone recently and is suffering. We live in NE Ohio and the government is making our doctors cut us off our pain meds. He is in a lot of pain and making mine and his life miserable. Any suggestions for doctor is PA?
hey everyone.........antman here our doctor ...........has gotten very strict recently 6 people got discharged in a day or 2 they were outside the wiow grove office showing me the discharge letters my brother also is in pain managment we both inherited a back condition his oxycodone levels were too low so the owner cut him from 60 to 28 and from 30 domes to 14 the doctor is stressed out remember ill only see him the 2/3 days hes at willow grove.......the people who hes discharging have illegal drugs in they system which means hes by the books.....this happened at the wg office.
Adam sorry for your troubles. It sounds like you are really having a hard time. We can't give our doctors names on here even if we wanted too, the site reviews every post and blocks their names as well any kind of personal contact info. Some people drop hints here and there but that stopped as well because if you see it so does everyone else on this forum and then the practices get overrun with patients, when probably only half are in legit pain and need narcotics. Anyways i wish you the best of luck. My father also goes to the VA hospital, they would not prescribe him painkillers either but he asked for a referral or recommendation for pain management and they gave him a name of a doctor to go too and sent all this records over from the VA. You can try that. I'm sure you will have some luck. If they can't provide you with what you need it is up to them to send you to someone one that will be able to. You can also check a website called ProPublica and enter in your zip code, it will give you a list of docs who prescribe what you need it the area. Hope you feel better and good luck!
Editor's note: Per our privacy policy we do not allow individuals to post their own personal contact information on our discussion threads. Please note however, that there is nothing preventing anyone from sharing a doctor's name or number as long as it can be verified.
Hello, I am a retired Soldier with a plate, 5 screws in my left leg, nerve damage in my right, and a 4 inch screw holding my right clavicle together. In your post it blocks your personal contact information or whatever you posted, but I am in serious need of help as the VA only wants to give me Gabapentin. Would appreciate any help you can send me. Much thanks.
Nikki
How have you been.. I hope ur doing well and everything is going good with your doc.... hey antman hope your doing well also.
Sherry, the doctors we are speaking of are in northeast pa and that's about 6 hours away from butler county. You can check propublica for doctors in your area that prescribe oxycodone and it should bring up a bunch. Good luck.
