Every doc I've met with here in Pittsburgh Pa will only take cash if they prescribe you xanax.. Very unethical but since I have insurance I would like to find a doctor to prescribe me the meds I need. I would take either although I like the Klonopin better, xanax cause my depression to worsen after I take them... Anyone know of any Psychiatrists that will take my insurance and prescribe me meds?

To a point, I agree with the doctor. They should watch out for characters like this who are going to doctors only for drug seeking and when they don't get it they try to make the doctor look like an *****.

Yes, what's stated in this article is almost correct. I was put on Klonopin in 1992. I've been on and off of Benzo's since then. The strongest dose I was ever prescribed was Xanax, 2mg's 4 x a day. 8 mgs. I'm currently on 3, 2 mg bars per day. I also have severe insomnia, I'm prescribed 10 mg Ambien tablet each night before bed. I've been on these the same amount of time as benzos. I've had Dr.s try to ween me off many times. What these Dr.'s do, is lower the dose to .50 of Klonopin, and add about 15 or 16 other medications to help with the symptoms. I think this is absolute foolishness! Before being put on my regular Psych meds, I never did drugs, except for alcohol. I drank at parties and night clubs. Once it was no longer Taboo and I turned 21, it wasn't fun anymore. I was really against drug's of any kind. I had a wonderful Psychiatrist, for yrs and unfortunately, he began to get very ill and had to have surgery and close his office. and everyone of his parents lost their Dr.. Very sad and distressing as well. Even if you can find a doctor in this day in age who will prescribe my ,regular medications, you are required to pay cash. Every time I've been forced off of my meds, I end up very suicidal and then it costs so much more $ to have to have an ambulance called because I'm either clinically dead or very close. I couldn't begin to guess how many times, I awoken in a hospital, all alone, with IV's in my arms and a catheter. These Doctors should have thought about this many yrs before this. It is far more dangerous to take me off of the two meds that work. Other people like me, should not be forced to suffer. I have PTSD, GAD and panic attacks. I'm about 50 yrs old and I've taken these meds for about 25 years. At this point in my life, I know that taking me off would do far more damage, then if we just leave well enough alone. After my Dr. got really sick and had to close his office, I had to try to find a replacement Dr.. I have the most excellent therapist. I'm very blessed to have her. I was already aware that this place does not prescribe anything that could be addictive. I called my therapist as soon as I received the letter from my Dr. and told her that I was in panic mode. She's also the director of the place and it's many offices. She thought that they could make an exception. I saw this really mean Dr. He didn't let me fill out my paperwork and just started screaming at me. I had been severely abused by my stepdad since the age of 2. He beat me like a man. For this reason, I get horribly terrified when a grown man screams at me. He yelled the whole time I was there. I told my therapist and he got wrote up. He also took me from my usual dose of 3, 2mg's bar's a day down 2 full mgs. I went into seizures and was extremely ill. My Therapist switched me to another DR.

She is much nicer and doesn't yell or scream at .me. However, she immediately started talking about reducing my meds. The goal she has in mind is to slowly but surely decrease me to totally take me off my 2 meds. I've had Dr.s try to replace my meds with SSRI's that dont even help in the slightest bit. I really need help. DESPERATELY SEEKING A DOCTOR IN THE PITTSBURGH / BUTLER COUNTY AREA, in Pennsylvania. Thank you for sharing any info you have. I do have Medicaid. Please list even if they only accept cash.P.S, These Dr.s and government, since they are well aware of the Eugenics that is happening in our Country. I'm speaking about the poisonous Fluoride in our water supply The cancer causing GMO'S in Our food. They make Chickens double their natural size, being pumped with antibiotics to triple their size. Do you know what Astpertane is? It's the feces made from the Eboli virus and it defecates, they ground this up in that is the sugar that they are having you eat today. Also corn is the most dangerous crop grown in America. 95% of Corn grown in America Soybean is also GMO and very dangerous to ingest. If any of you will please take the time to educate yourselves, it's imperative that Americans wake up now and start fighting against this evil system. Cow's are almost in all cases not allowed to roam and graze on green grass, they, along with Chickens or pork. They are crammed into wall to wall rooms. No Sun light. The real farmers who try to do it the right way are spied on by the evil corporations like Montsonto farmer's who are doing the right things are taken to court by these evil corporations and they don't have the money to fight them. They are strong arming the good farmers. Please watch the documentary, "Food, Inc.. They're also dumping Chemtrails on us. This is Agenda 21 And Agenda 2030.. This is meant To kill us. People wonder why we are sick and dying. The USDA protects the evil ones. If Dr.s starting to write to President Trump, I believe he cares about America. These atrocities formentioned are far greater than any pharmaceutical drug. They are killing people by the hundreds of thousands with Cancers and many other diseases. Please write to your president and your congressman. Thank you. In the early 80's, I still felt great and didn't require any meds. I believe in all of my heart, that when George Soros is producing at least 1/4 of our food supply, mostly everyone's gonna be sick. Hi, thanks for the info. I've been on Benzo's since 1993 and I've never had any problems until the last two years. I saw an excellent psychiatrist for several years. Unfortunately, he became very ill and had surgery and had to close his office. I can't find even 1 doctor who believes in the same thing I do. " If it's not broke, don't fix it." Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Thanks for sharing this. I've been searching high n low for a Dr. to continue my medication 's. I have been on a benzo for over 20 years. My Dr. got extremely ill and had to have surgery and closed his office. My anxiety is so horrible and I have PTSD, GAD and panic attacks. I'm also on Ambien, 10mg at bedtime. I got stuck with a Dr. where my therapist is and she wants me to slowly get off them. I've tried this before and instead of taking 2 meds, they put me on 12. I've never experienced such difficulties getting my meds in my life. I would be forever grateful for your help. Thank you so much. This gives me hope.

Hi...I'm in the same position ...did you find a provider to help with sub and Xanax? I currently go to a group....my psychiatrist writes my pych meds for ptsd/cptsd, anxiety, depression, and so on .. Therapeutic dose of Xanax ..a different doc in same group writes my subs.... Yesterday they informed me they are not writing sub while on very small therapeutic dosage....my therapist is also in the group. She is going to the head managing and part owner.

I was a patient of dr. M.Cereal he really helped me with my anxiety...i need people to stop using the system for wrong reasons..if there is a doctor out there that can help me i am willing to pay..or whatever i need to do..

Dr. Cerul is a very good doctor. He is cautious yet reasonable. He has been my doctor for years and has always been very helpful and kind in his treatment.

He kept me on my meds for six months while I tried to transfer care. Then he tapered me. Now I am back to square one with a very low quality of life. I am on disability because of this condition. I have a 20 year medical history supporting this. I have a lengthy list of failed meds. ANY doctor should see this and help me. I am not some junkie looking for drugs a**hole. How can I be found disabled because of a condition and than have doctors refuse to treat it? I will tell you why...because dopers get a hold of this stuff and use it with alcohol or illicit drugs and die. Well, I don't give a s***. I want my life back and I have every right to have some sort of quality of life. Those doctors took an oath that they would help people.

Sue, sue who? The is no obligation for a provider to see you, or prescribe what you might want or even need. Your old Doc should have helped you out before you moved.

I have been on Xanax for 17 years 1mg 3 times a day 2mg bedtime I moved here from south Carolina with all my disability and medical records and no doctor will help me. I am on disability because my anxiety disorder is very severe. can I sue?

Money is not a serious concern. My PCP is willing to dose up to 3mg TID due to a recent assault and a cognitive behavioral therapist that prefers she handles the medicines. I take no narcotics and test regularly on a quantitative basis. Can you share with me the name and contact info of your phys.? {edited for privacy}. Lifesaver, thank you for sharing!

I had been going to Staunton clinic for 8 years and I'm on methadone and was prescribed 3 1 mg a day. I never abused pills only dope. I've been clean for almost 8 years and My doctor quit so I got this arrogant jerk Dr. S. And he made me take a drug panel and was going to drop me and not wean me off. It's their new policy that they don't give out any benzos. And I was negative on my drug panel too so if they quit prescribing them then why the heck did I have to take a drug panel? Just to get my bipolar meds? Not fair.

I am on a low stable dose of klonopin for 8 years of sobriety. Could you share with me the name of your DR? Or post a link? Cash is not a problem. My mood control predisposed me to addiction, and now controlling it is a very serious priority for me.
