My aunt has been taking the Sandoz Pharmaceutical, hydrochlorothiazide and triamterene for 13 yrs. The GG606, now the pharmacy is saying they can't get that one anymore that they have a new one by a different company that is the same. She has tried to take this, but it gives her a terrible heachache, where the other one didn't. Is there any pharmacy that still carries this medication by Sandoz Pharmaceutical? ## Unfortunately, there is a shortage of the Triamterene and Sandoz is one of the companies affected, so it isn't currently available anywhere. There can be fluctuations in the active ingredients of generic medications, this may be causing changes in her blood pressure, which could cause the headaches. Has she talked to her doctor about this, yet? She may require a dosa...

It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor. ## What Lisa posted is correct, it contains the active ingredient Spironolactone. This is the only diuretic that works safely for me, I have a bottle in the cupboard, because it is my rescue medication, in case I experience fluid retention, again. It can cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, frequent urination, hypotension, and dehydration. Has this been prescribed for you?

Where is the manufacture of Actavis generic drug, Triamterene-HCTZ (37.5-25 mg) tablets before distribution? ## Hello Ro, I'm having a hard time determining what your question is. Actavis is the manufacturer/labeler of this medication so they are the source of the pill prior to distribution. If you are asking about the location of the Actavis plant that manufactured your pill it would be difficult to say as they have plants all around the world to include Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Northern-Ireland, Italy, Malta, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Serbia, Thailand, the UK and the US. One way that you could trace the origin of your medication is to find the batch number on the package that the medicine came in ...

My husband has been taking Hydrochlorothiazide cap Myl. He just got a refill and noticed it is Hydrochlorot tab Acc. Both are 12.5 mg. Are these the same medicine? ## Hi Joan - I am pretty sure that "Hydrochlorot" is just an abbreviation for the full name Hydrochlorothiazide. And based on the abbreviations that you shared, it sounds like the first version he took was a capsule from Mylan (NDC 0378-0810), and that his refill now contains the tablet from Accord (NDC 16729-182). Does the following image look like his current script? HCTZ 12.5 MG ORAL TABLET / ACCORD Color: Orange Imprint: H 1 If so, then my assumptions are correct. If NOT, is there any way that you can share the color and imprints on the new prescription? ## You are correct. His pills look like the picture. Thank ...

I purchased what should have been Lasix 100 mg ..it says "Lusix 100 mg". The generic name should be furosemide and on the packaging it says "frusemide". There are no markings on the pills and I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? The envelope came from Combitic global caplet pvt ltd? Any suggestions? ## Honestly from the way you put it, this sounds like a classic case of a counterfeit. Deliberate misspellings for otherwise common drug names is the biggest red flag in my opinion. I'm not saying that Combitic Global Caplet is a fake manufacturer (though I could be mistaken), but perhaps whoever is distributing these products is putting on some sort of front for the real deal, if you know what I mean. On that note, Combitic Global Caplet does appea...

I was diagnosed with Meneer's Disease and get super dizzy and have to force myself to go to sleep. Even then I wake up with it still. It's the absolute worst feeling I don't wish it upon my worst enemy!!! I've tried every drug in that catorgy n as of now I'm on Promethazine. I'm supposed to take it every day but I only take it when I have an attack or feel it coming on. It sucks to live day to day not knowing when I'm go...
Is hydrochlorothiazide 25mg / triamterene 37.5mg tabs by Sandoz, greenish blue? ## Drug manufacturers can change the color or shape of any pill over a period of time without prior notice, so this is definitely something that you cannot asses unless you have the pill in your possession. Alternatively, if you can provide me the imprints and shape of the pill, I can look it up for you in a drug database and get back to you with any of these details. ## My mother has been on Triamterene/HCTZ 37.5/25 capsules for many years. The drug is manufactured by Sandoz. When she refilled the drug this weekend, she received tablets, not the capsules she had been getting. She is 86 years old, and concerned about possible side effects of changing the medication form. Are the capsules still available? ## ...
I have been taking triamterene/hctz for over 10 years. My doctor at the time put me on it for water retention. I recently had to switch doctors and she wouldn't refill it for me because she says it's not good for my health. Well the first day I was off the med, I started retaining a lot of water in my fingers legs feet. If I want to reduce the retention, I have to get off my feet and elevate them. I am so frustrated and unhappy and uncomfortable and am worried the retention is always going to be a problem. Anyone else have this happen and can help me with info what to do? I am thinking of going back to one of the doctors I had been going to knowing she will prescribe me some kind of diuretic ## Hello, Donna! How are you? Yes, letting retention continue like that can be very dang...
