Looking for a doctor that prescribes Contrave near the Fort Worth area. It's a diet pill that treats obesity. I do not have a family doctor or insurance and would like someone familiar with this drug. Any info helpful ## I got it from the NP Care Clinic on West Oak Street in Denton. It's just about a quarter mile off I-35, 20 minutes away from my house in far north Fort Worth. For the record, I was on it for about 5 weeks before I quit taking it because of the side effects. I'm very tolerant to most medications, I rarely experience any side effects. But Contrave gave me episodes of nervousness, breaking out in a cold sweat and feeling like my heart was racing and pounding out of my chest, even though my blood pressure and pulse were normal. These side effects stopped immedia...

I seem to be gaining weight. The first week, I had a hard few days adjusting to it, then I got beyond it and started loosing weight , happy. Now in my 2nd week, I'm gaining weight. The Topamax in the past , alone, made me hungry/tired. Phentermine in the past worked but I was used to 37.5 mgs when it was prescribed back in the 90's. The Qsymia's paltry 3.75 mgs is pretty darn low dosage. It's too early to up the dosage to the next level which is fine by me bc. I'm afraid that when I do, the double dose of the Topamax will double my appitite; 7.5 mgs. of phentermine is still so low I'm surprised it's even prescribed. I guess I'm just a perpetual malcontent, huh. ## Hello, BostonHolly! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Are you also getting lots ...

What is in bonitril Pdm?? Is it safe to take? ## Hello, Tonja! How are you? Has your doctor prescribed it for you? The FDA lists this as containing the active ingredient Phendimetrazine, which is a stimulant that's used to aid in weight loss. It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, nervousness, insomnia and anorexia. However, due to the risks, such as elevated heart rate and blood pressure, it shouldn't be taken, without your doctor's approval.

Hello, My weight is 90 & height 5'5 want to know the proper disage to take of ZEROFAT-A sachet, how to use it & how many months need to take. ## @PIU, From what I could gather, the active ingredient in Zerofat-A is Orlistat. According to the manufacturer, the typical adult dosage of Orlistat is 120mg taken orally 3 times daily. Apparently you're supposed to take each dose with every meal you have that contains fat. However the manufacturer goes on to note that the dose may also be taken within about an hour of finishing your meal(s). As to how long you should take it, I think that is best determined by you and your doctor, depending on your goals an expectations. I would also encourage you to confirm dosing protocols as well, since the instructions mentioned above are on...

Ifa norex makes half of my face numb and head as well. Should I be concern? ## Hello, Alicia! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Yes, you should be concerned, stop taking it and have yourself checked out by your doctor. Make sure to tell them that you were taking this. The FDA lists this as containing the active ingredient Amfepramone. It is a stimulant medication, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and it can cause some serious side effects, such as elevated heart rate and elevated blood pressure, which could put you at risk of a heart attack or stroke. Are you on any other medications?

I am taking Belviq but I have a sinus infection and need to take something. Are there certain OTC drugs that interfere with Belviq. I'm thinking anything with Dextromethorphan in it shouldnt be taken. ## Hello, Shandra! How are you? If you have a sinus infection, there is no over the counter product that will eradicate it. You'll need an antibiotic, which must be prescribed by your doctor. The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can phentermine and warfarin be taken together. I'm taking warfarin because of bilateral knee replacements 5 wks ago. I want to start phentermine again and get the last of the weight off. my diet dr says its ok. ## Hello, Paula! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these two medications, so as long as your doctor also approves, it should be okay. The FDA classifies Phentermine as a stimulant, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and anorexia. Warfarin may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been on Belviq now for only a week but I feel like I need a nap after taking it. I really am excited to try this medication but would like to now if the fatigue will go away once my body gets use to it. Don't have the energy to do any kind of exercise which I intended riding my bike and walking. ## Hello, Bert! How are you? I'm sorry about the way you're feeling. Yes, the FDA does list that as being a reported side effect of this medication, you may also experience nausea, dry mouth, dizziness, mood changes and insomnia. Things should improve, once your body adjusts to the medication, but that may take about 4 weeks. If not, then you should speak to your doctor as it may not be the right medication for you. I have now been on Contrave for 4 weeks and seeing great results. My appetite is really reduced and combining exercise and maintaining a calorie intake of around 1400-1600 I look to have lost 10 pounds my first month. It's been working but I have doubled the weight loss I would have had without it as my appetite is so much less. ## Awesome! I'm so glad that it's working well for you. Have you experienced any of the side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, nervousness and insomnia that the FDA lists? Some people have had very good results with this medication and some haven't, so I'm curious.

I am on my 4/day dose and have really only lost a few lbs. This cost me $200. I lost 3 lbs as of today 6/22 from 6/21. I really could have lost that much on my own. I want to go off of it because it appears that it isn't doing anything. I have no bad side effects but I don't want to pay that much for weight I could lose myself. Any feedback? ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? How long have you been taking the 4 a day? Most people really don't see results, until they're on this dose for several weeks. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Contrave as possibly include nausea, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness and headache. ## This is probably a week now on 4 a day. Strangely enough, the only side effect I've noticed is a tremor. But I tend to have one anyway. It just make...

The pamphlet at the dr said the cost would be about $70 per month. I had to pay $134 the first month, and it will be about $240 on maintainence? What is everyone else paying? ## Hello, Pam! How are you? That pamphlet was referring to their saving's card, it's available on the Contrave website. You have to print it out and take it to the pharmacy with you. It lowers the cost of the first two fills to $70 and then $60 after that. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Contrave as possibly including nausea, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness and anorexia. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can you take montelukast 10mg and Belviq together. And how long before the pill start to work. ## Hello, Bren! How are you? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between these two medications, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. The FDA lists Belviq as being used to aid in weight loss and while some people do feel some immediate effects, it generally takes about 2 weeks, before you start seeing results. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, headache, dizziness and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I take Phentermine, and in the past it worked but only for a short while, I don't understand why it stopped working? Is there a stronger version of this or something else I can take? I lost 60 lbs in a 2 year span and now I've gained 35 back. I'm now limited to exercise, swimming and biking, I need additional help because those 2 options don't always work. I was in a accident and I have multiple issues. I need to lose the weight because it helps reduce the pain in my legs, knees and lower and upper back. What other diet pills are prescriptions? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Do you also watch your diet? It could be that this medication just doesn't work for you. Not all medications work for everyone that tries them. Have you consulted your doctor? You may need to try a different medication, such as Belviq. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, anorexia, anxiety and bladder pain.

Hello :-) I have been on Belviq for two weeks now. I feel no different other than I'm more tired than usual. My appetite and cravings havn't changed at all, really I'm no different, weight is the same. Should I give it longer? I take 10mg when I first get up, and when I get home from work at 5pm before dinner. I have used Adipex in the past a few times and it too, did absolutely nothing. I found that weird as friends who took it couldnt sleep ect. Could it be something wrong with me? Thanks. ## Hello, Danielle! How are you? What does your BMI have to be in order to be prescribed Adipex in Ohio? ## Hello, Dalia87! How are you? Adipex is listed by the FDA as containing the active ingredient Phentermine and, as far as I know, there is no specific level. The person just needs to be obese and their doctor feel that they are healthy enough to take it and that it will likely be of benefit to them. This is a stimulant, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, anorexia and elevated blood pressure. Is there anything else I can help with? ## No, thank you! That pretty much answers my question. :)
