Adipex is listed by the FDA as containing the active ingredient Phentermine and, as far as I know, there is no specific level. The person just needs to be obese and their doctor feel that they are healthy enough to take it and that it will likely be of benefit to them.
This is a stimulant, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, anorexia and elevated blood pressure.
