what long term damage can glyburide 10 mg daily drug do to the body organs after using it 3-4 years, what are the signs and symptoms. Metformin, same as above what damage can be done to the body organs, what are the signs and symptoms 1,000 mg daily ## Well, since most medications are processed through the liver, there is some risk of suffering damage from taking them, but that applies to about 98% of the drugs on the market, not just these ones. And, in reality, the risks of organ damage to you would be far, far greater if you didn't take them and let your diabetes continue out of control, because the high blood sugar levels can burn out your organs, the liver, heart and kidneys. i am a type 2 diabetic and I also have MS. My doctor prescribed metanx but it is too exspensive so is there an alternative. ## Go to swansonvitamins.com Folate $4.99, methylcobalamin sublingual $9.99 two month supply, P-5-P b6 around $6 about a 2 month supply. You need the b's in this active form and a bottle of TMG helps convert it over for $4.49. You should consider getting tested for MTHFR which metanx is used to treat. It has a huge connection to MS. I no longer have the lesions after an MTHFR protocol. Check out mthfr.net and mthfrsupport.com These forms of b's help break down homocysteine in the body. Many people on oral diabetic medication that have neuropathy have MTHFR. Drugs such as metaformin reduce active b's in people and with MTHFR you are already working on po...

i have been prescribed metadoze ipr 500( metformin) and montair lc ( montelukast sodium ) tablets after i was diagnosed with high sugar. if i discontinue the medication, i get an itching sensation. is the itching sensation a side effect of the medicines or is it due to sugar levels? ## It's rather difficult to say, it could be due to a sudden withdrawal of them, or nerve damage from the diabetes. Learn more Metadoze details here. Learn more diabetes details here. I'd suggest consulting your doctor. As to the Montelukast, that's not used to treat diabetes. My husband has been on metanx for 4-5yrs,it has helped with neuropathy in feet, has any one experienced severe pain and swelling in hands as a possible side effect of too much B-6,long term use of mentanx ? ## Hi Karen, Does your husband work on the computer frequently? This is a common cause for pain and swelling in the hands, so I thought I'd ask. Interestingly enough though, I just checked the side effects of Metanx and common side effects include: Drowsiness; feeling of swelling of the entire body; mild diarrhea; numbness or tingling. That said, it could in-fact be that Metanx is causing those complications. Has he sought out any treatment options or decreased his use of the medication?

I just got my RX for metformin Hcl 500 mg. tablets. I am confused as to when is the best time of day for me to take it. Should I take it in the morning, or, at night before bed? Do I need to take it on an empty stomach, or, with food? ## Ideally, it should usually be taken in the morning, just before a meal, that way it has time to start working to help lower your blood sugar by the time your body starts digesting your meal. Learn more Metformin details here. Didn't your doctor or pharmacist provide any instructions? ## My Dr. said to take it in the morning, but, the printout that comes with prescriptions said to take with dinner. So, I was confused. It makes more since to take it in the A.M. Thanx for your input.
