That can have a great effect of your sugar level, because the medication isn't going to do every thing. Is it possible to get a prescription for Metforman/glucophage online or to find it online? I am worried, because I have been gaining weight rapidly this past year. I am morbidly obese, and my doctors will not help me because my A1c was only 5.5. I am worried about type 2 diabetes, and I think my A1c is high enough that medicine may benefit me, even though I am technically not diabetic yet. I have read about diabetics who get their A1c below 5.5 with metformin, and there seem to be no adverse affects even when they continue taking the medicine at these levels. I am also having problems with ovulation and was recently diagnosed with endometrial hyperplasia, a condition associated with insulin resistance. I have been struggling to conceive for three years now. Ultrasound shows no evidence ...

Can any body sugg est any alternatives? ## Are you also watching your diet and getting lots of exercise? When it comes to some medical conditions, such as diabetes, you can't really expect the medication to do all of the work. You can help lower your blood sugar by being careful to not eat high sugared or high fat foods and by exercising regularly. If that doesn't work, then you may have just built up a tolerance to the medication after so many years of taking it. Have you consulted your doctor? My doctor gave me lisinopril 10mg and bisocor 2.5 mg (half a tablet) for high blood pressure, I am keeping it at approx 125/75 with this medicine. My blood sugar is between 5 and 7 mml and my blood tests are okay. I have had a stress testfor my heart and that was okay, I am overweight at 110kg but am trying to lose weight. I feel shaky inside and lacklustre, could my medicine be causing a reaction. Every time I see my doctor, he sends me for tests and basically they all come back okay. I am not a whining hypochondriac, just a normal guy who would like to feel normal. I live in Zimbabwe where the medical facilities are not that great.

Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks for the information !!!

Later in the late July'2013, my TSH was 0.04 and BP was (147/73) and weight 62.9 Kgs. I was advised to continue Thyroxcin 100mcg for another 2 months but at home, my parents insisted me not to take such a high dose when TSH has fallen down to 0.04 and told me to take Thyroxin 50mcg which i am continuing since then.. My doctor prescribed me glubitor od for my diabetes, he advised that i should take it in the morning, but the problem is, i feel dizzy after taking it and i could not function well during the day, so can i take it before going to sleep instead? ## Hello, Nats! How are you feeling? Did you eat after taking it? This medication contains the active ingredient Gliclazide, it's used to help lower and control blood sugar. It can cause dizziness, drowsiness, headache and stomach pain as side effects and they will be worse if you take it and don't eat right afterwards, because it could lower your blood sugar too far. I have been taking this medication since august 28, 2013. It is wonderful..I have lost weight in a way I had no been able to do in the past. I have no side effects. The big problem is getting insurance companies to pay for Invokana. I am allergic to Metformin which is the medication the insurance companies will pay for. ## Hello, Joni! How are you? Have you discussed the issue with your doctor and your insurance company? Usually, there is some procedure in place to apply for a special exception to get them to cover a medication they otherwise wouldn't, if your doctor supports your need for it and files the appropriate paperwork.
