Hi I have been on glumetza now for 2 weeks and was wondering if anyone has experienced what I am feeling. 3 days after starting this medication I began to have pain in my back on my right side by my kidney area. The pain has now come around to the front right below my ribcage. Ican only describe the pain as a constant dull ache kinda feeling like I was kicked in tge stomache. I have recently had and endoscope but didnt think it would be related to that. Any input would be great I have now scared myself reading about lactic acidosos when on this medication. Please let me know anyone! ## Have you consulted your doctor? Glumetza contains the active ingredient Metformin, which is an oral antidiabetic medication and it can cause some stomach pain and gas, as a side effect, but it really soun...

What is it and what is it used for? ## hi, am diabetic and have been put on mixtard infusion twice a day by my doc, however pimples have invaded my face and yet i have had no pimples before. Coud this be a bad effect of the drug? if so what effective remedies could you suggest for the pimples. I've used pimple creams and other commom remedies to no avail.p'se help. ## @AB, To answer your question, Oxyprofen (brand name Combunox) contains the active ingredients Ibuprofen + Oxycodone. I didn't find exact dosages, but I'd imagine the 30mgs would probably be associated with Oxycodone, and the 100mgs is likely to be for Ibuprofen. The combination itself is widely used for moderate to severe pain relief. @Tj, Mixtard is a completely different medication altogether. Apparently ...

Could you tell me if the metaformin er 500 mg is gluten free? The tablet has IP 178 imprinted on it. ## Hi Melany, Based on my research, Amneal's 500mg Metformin hydrochloride ER tablets imprinted with IP 178, reportedly contain the following set of inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide + hypromellose + magnesium stearate + microcrystalline cellulose However, gluten as well as gluten derivatives do not appear to be listed here, so you should be safe in that regard. I hope this helps!

why do people post such important and subject themselves to a potential medical situation- why not just pick up the phone and call YOUR DR. or GO THE PHARMACY AND ASK THEM! Really people!- ## @romine, Well I can't speak for everyone, but I do know that some questions of this nature don't necessarily need to be answered by a doctor specifically. For example, if there is a score line on your pill then it's usually safe to be cut in half, since that's what it's intended for. In the case that there's no dividing line, then it certainly would be a good idea to contact your doctor or pharmacy first and foremost (especially if they are time-released tablets). And even then, not all medical professionals know how a drug is going to end up effecting you until you start ta...

I am takiung """""""""""Glyburide-Metforming 5-5 and Januvia 100mg for my diabetes ## Hello, Juan! How are you? The A1C is basically an average that shows how your blood sugar has been doing over a certain period of time. There's no way to just suddenly lower it and make your sugar levels look as if they've been doing well. You'll need to take your medications, as prescribed and make sure to eat a health, low sugar/low fat diet, while also getting lots of exercise, so it starts to go down to normal levels. Is there anything else I can help with?
