I take 100mg of the above Metformin 1 time a day with the evening meal. Sometimes the next morning I will notice the undesolved tablest in my stool, especially when I have diarrhea. What can I do to make sure my medication is disolving and taking effect. ## Hello, John! How are you? What you are seeing in your stool is just the outer shell, however, the medication is released and used by your body. Metformin actually tends to have a horrible odor, so some manufacturers use a special outer shell/coating, to prevent people from smelling it. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, flatulence and hypoglycemia. Is there anything else I can help with?

I went to the pharmacy yesterday and they told me that the discount card I used is has been discontinued (I had only used it 2 times) When I attempted to obtain a new one on the farxiga website, it registered me but when I attempt to print the card I get an error on their site. Has anyone else had this issue? ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. That seems rather strange, as according to the Farxiga website, each card is supposed to be good for a year, with only yearly renewals required to validate eligibility. You may want to try calling the manufacturer to see what they say, you can reach them at 1-855-3FARXIGA. Is it safe to take Nesina with Glimepiride, Pioglitazone, and Metformin? ## As long as your doctor has prescribed them all to be taken together. It is sometimes necessary for someone to take multiple oral diabetes medications to get their blood sugar under control. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Nesina as possibly including anxiety, nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, hypoglycemia and headache. It may also increase the effects of the Glimepiride, so please watch for low blood sugar levels.

I suffered profound and sudden hearing loss just a few weeks after my physician put me on Metformin 500s, and I strongly suspect this medication. I am not even pre-diabetic, and have a healthy diet, just a body that has been stubborn to lost adipose tissue in my mid-50s, although my cholesterol is 70 and BP is usually 110/70 with blood sugar on the low side. He prescribed Metformin, thinking it may 'trick' my body into whatever, but I've read something about the activity involved in the inner ear area with chemical change, and highly suspect this in my unilateral hearing loss, right ear. I've been to Univ of AL for three proc now, nine trips, to no avail, with no insurance....screwed ## Hello, Feltygal! How are you? I'm very sorry about the hearing loss. However, Met...
