The side effect of the stomach ache should taper off after awhile, as your body gets used to the medication and not treating your diabetes would be far more dangerous, because it can be life threatening. I have been taking Metformin XR 500 MG for about 2 years after having an issue with nausea with regular Metformin. In an effort to lower my reliance on meds I began cutting the 500 MG pill in half about 6 months ago and in the last 2 mos have had constant nausea and some diarrhea. Stopped Metformin about 6 weeks ago but still having same issues. Nausea level is about 3-5 on a scale of 1-10. It appears that I should not have split the pills in half. My stomach “growls” constantly and I plan to see a gastroenterologist. I am tired regularly and no longer exercising. ## The ER designates it as being a time released formulation, so no, it should not be cut, or broken, as that could cause you to get too much of the medication, at once. I have been on this drug for almost 4 weeks now. I have had diahrea really bad. It is always like water. Everything I eat goes straight through. I have been taking anti diarhea pills with no help. I have lost ten pounds. Is this normal and what can i do for it? ## I stopped taking metformin about 2 years ago because of diarhrea and also the fact that I wanted to completely control my diabetes with diet only. I am suffering with sensitive tongue for a month now and unable to take chilly at all. I take glimisave m3 and zyrol m1 morning and evening respectively. I also take Prednisone 5mg morning and evening. Additionally I take multivitamin and calcium. Wondering what is causing sensitive tongue! I am getting very worried about my diet.

I have noticed that the numbers on my pills have changed from:Oval BLUE TABLET SIDE 1: AHI 4 to OVAL BLUE Tablet Marking: RDY/3 22. I have a BAD headache, I take Janumet daily and I need to know if I can take Tylenol at the same time with the Janumet. ## I didn't find any problems, or interactions listed, but it is always best to double check to be sure. I have been trying to conceive and I am under medical treatment for pcos for the past 2.5 years. Initially I had metformin tablets for approx 1.5 yrs. Hello, My doctor prescribed me Zomelis Met 50mg/500mg (Vildagliptin 50mg & Metformin 500mg) for my diabetes. The same doctor prescribed Galvus 50mg/500mg to my mother and the same doctor prescribed Glycomet to my wife. I am very confused about all three medicines. Can u please confirm the differences between Vildagliptin and these other medications mentioned above?

I've been taking Metanx for 6 months due to diabetic nephropathy and foot drop in my left foot. After the first few months I thought there was minimal improvement in frequency and severity of the pain. But now, after 6 months, it seems like the pain is as frequent and severe as when I started. I just picked up a refill and found that the price (not covered by my insurance) has almost doubled in the past 6 months. So, for $75 a month and little or no improvement, I'm done with Metanx.
