d amphetamine is stronger than Adderall , that is Dextroamphetamine Sulfate, Adderall is a mixture of Dextroamphetamine and Amphetamine in different salts (Amphetamine has less euphoria and more of the bad side effects. Methamphetamine (Desoxyn) the brain craves the most next to Dextroamphetamine the most.

I started this pill on Saturday since apparently I got diagnosed with ADHD as well. I think as soon as I took it 5 minutes later I was cleaning like there was no tomorrow. I have noticed that the energy does come in spurts, when the pill first hits me if I even think of sitting my heart start pounding and I'm unable to handle sitting down. I have noticed I get bad anxiety attacks with the pills i'm shaky. I have noticed a lot of you can concentrate and see things more clearly. I am sorry to say I am not, I have tried and tried to sit and do things I have to get done when on the pill but it just seems that I have to keep moving. I might have to see my Dr. about it and have her change the medication the original script was for aderall just not sure why they gave me this d-amphetamne salt combo I feel like I'm on crack! for 6 hours. The crash is horrible and last night I could not fall asleep and it was 4 in the morning and I was still up .. is anyone else experiencing things like this?

People this medicine works well for people with AADHD, which is the adult version. Although I've never taken anything as a child teen or even in my 20s-mid 30s. I'm a healthcare worker and some of the education I aquired was in the psych field, learning ab the sign&symptoms of numerous neurological disorders/anomalies while ADHD is not necessarily concidered a disease in is very dibilitating for those with extreme cases. The sad thing is that most children and adults with this disorder suffer from other disorders like oppositional defiant disorder and display frustration as well as anger management problems which Are secondary effects of ADHD. Having problems with organization and even exp difficulty concentrating cause they seemingly are multitaskers( seemingly) they start doing mult activities and never finish 1. Tardiness and what appears like disregard for time are common with ADHD sufferers. I also learned there are several life changing activities of daily living that if modified can help w/o having to take medication. Some are a regular execise program low carb diet with emphasis on eating protein, not over doing it but def healthy leves of protein. Having a steady regimen and sticking to it. Waking up, going to sleep and a constant work or school schedule, suffers don't do we'll with spontaneous schedules. Being neat and always leaving things in the same place, not necessary the right place , for example if they leave their keys in the same place every day and no 1 moves them, it will become habit and habitual repetition helps day to day. Now I'll give you my story. All my life in school I hated English class, they would ask you to read a passage silently or do a task and 3 mins into it I was thinking of something else and had to start reading all over again cause even though I had gotten ten lines down , for the last 6 my mind was on something else and I didn't understand what I read, which intern made me hate reading and worse when the teacher would ask me a question about the reading I couldn't answers which made me look stupid and frustrated/ embarrassed me in front the class which didn't understand why I couldn't answer and thought I was just plain Dumb. That frustration cause me to not participate in class and since my attention span was so terrible I was always frustrated. The worse was trying to get ready in the morning, since my mother would put everything away like my shoes my keys etc, in the morning it would take me for ever to get ready, looking for 1 thing I would start doing something I was prob doing the day or night before. Took for ever to get ready. If the tv was on forget it. I was diagnosed with it at around the time I was in jr high, back then they had Ritalin, which had a negative stigma for me bc only kids that were real trouble makers who through chairs in class were rude to teachers and violent at times with others, were known to take it. Aside from that I was anti drugs, never done drugs except for the occasional social alcoholic beverage. When I was in college and I read/learned more about it, I took steps to change my life for the better. But through the years with changes in schedules, jobs, relationships ( people I actually lived with) it would fluctuate but I was able to cope, now as far as tardiness. I've never been on time in my life to anything, until I actually started on the medication. A few years Ago I went into what is called a PRN position or as needed. I had to work when called at what ever time of the days w same day notice some time and usually not in the same place. This threw everything off, my work out schedule I literally stopped for 3 years and coupled with my new live in GF who would move everything making it difficult to get out of the house, eating fat food or what ever she ever, I found myself lost. Every day I would come back into the house on an average of 4times cause I had forgotten something. This was every time or I would leave with out thing and have to go back or do w/o. It really hit an all time high when I couldn't even concentrate long enough to document, for those of you who are not in healthcare, that means no $. Documentation is everything in healthcare and medical field alike. Bc of the level of the lack of ability to get it done, I found my self sometimes months behind, which is detrimental for what I do. I finally realize I couldn't do it my self bc of the irratic schedules of work so I gave in and went to see the Dr. I was perscribe 20mg bid , or 2 x daily. The first day I was like a kid in the biggest toy store in the world, I accomplished so much that day that not only did I finish the day early but even started to clean up and schedule things out. After the excitement I literally cried bc I couldn't believe that on my best day w/I it I was 1/4 of what I was on it. Now I felt like what other people who don't have this s*** feel like. My eyes got watery that night cause I couldn't believe how much this affects you. In 1 month my life entirely changed for the better, I no longer take for ever to get ready or turn back when I leave or any frustration or anger. My attitude even though it was never really that bad improved so much. B4 I would lash out if I couldn't find something now I could focus and learned to take everything in steps 1 at a time, making me way more efficient. I even enjoy reading now and not just things that I have to or like. It's always easier when you like it. Now in college I was a straight A student graduated with a 3.8 but it was extremely hard. What I did for learning things is I focused on learning through the best way or my strongest ability, most people are either auditory, tactile or visual, and in some cases in combination. By finding my strong point, I focused on that type of learning and bought tools and materials that best suited me. I rarely take full dose usually 1 whole 1 split in am and afternoon does it for. I have never felt jitters or palpitations from it. The only thing is that it does suppress my appetite a bit which allows me to be choosy and eat healthier since I have less craving. I do notice that it makes me thirsty more than w/o it. I don't always take unless I need it, all though I will caution you, I've heard that with XR you coul experience mood swings. 1 more thing if you experience palpitations or shortness of breath you are prob not a candidate, and remember it is speed or as refered to in the black market legal cocaine, I strongly urge you to never give it to others as it may cause circulatory prob and or even stroke or heart attack. I've heard of a lot of students taking it to study longer or loose weight, I've also heard from the nurses that treat them in the ER. If you don't have ADHD or the proper diagnosis for it, don't take it

Well, i sure had the suboxone withdraw wrong, it took a month to hit ( which confused the Hell out of the shrink) dec 1-8th were the most painful days of my life. I was literally about to go postal on me or someone. I am still having withdrawal symptoms but not as bad. Come to find out, first Dr Drug took me off clonapin, & i found out the hard way thats not so good. & he didnt have that drug in my records. So my new Dr wasnt aware of it..
Today i saw her, she gave me ativan, a different dose of adderal 50 instead of 60, GABA ( which has me wound up, and giddy, not what it is supposed to do), she cut my xanex to 1 mg a day & tramadol(?) to help me sleep. All this, just to get off 4 loratabs a day.. I want to beat these bastards to death. & because the first Dr Drug never had me medically tested. I find out that i'm severly anemic, so vitamin d deficcient it was scary, i have kidney & liver damage & a spot on my lung. ( priceless )
They cant or wont do anything with a PET scan until i am further removed from the drugs..new Dr says she is helping down as safely & quickly as possible.
I think i dont know what to think..
Who the Hell monitors these people, the lung dr's drug list for me was all wrong, my GP had a bad list & my new shrink has a bad list..they are all connected to the same medical records system. I just dont get it, I'm a college educated successful business woman, how did I let them convince me i was so jacked up & mental?
I have so many drugs, that all sound alike because they are generic, I'm not sure 1/2 the time what i am taking and why..
I know this, once I am off this s***, I am done with Dr's, especially quack ass ( med management)@$350.00 for a 15 minute session.. It is all about the money & quotas.. Makes you long winded, sorry!

Adderall is a time release med. 12 hours. Since it's a time release, I can't understand why he would want you on a stimulant 24 hours while you are trying to sleep??

I just started taking the general adderal pill 20mg. Im not really sure if its working or if i need to take it more consistent. When I'm off it, it feels like if my adhd is worse or I might of been like that all the time, and probably now Im noticing the difference. When i take the pill I dont really feel alot of concentration. There are times where it fades away and then when im performing a task it goes back on. My doctor tells me to cut the pill in half, and take 10mg in the morning, and the other 10mg later in the afternoon. Should I take just 1 20mg pill and see how that works? or not a good idea. I thought it will give me an intense focus. but it dosent seem so. Some side effects i get from it, is that I feel calmer and and i dont get that impulsiveness, sometimes i even feel sleepy, other times i feel a bit hyper. I also have loss of appetite. Should I just take one pill of 20mg instead of cutting it in half. I only have a week with the pills. Or should I continue taking them as prescribed and see if anything changes?

I took myself down slowly off the suboxone strips. Since they didnt give me the sense of well being like Tabs did, all i got was a bad taste and no symptoms of detoxing off the tabs. Anyway, suboxone is just as addictive. Depending on how much and how long u been on them it matters. I was on them for 14 months. I started cutting them in half, next month i cut into fourths. I went cold turkey off that amount, with my Dr permission, and other than feeling a little edgy with a little skin crawling and teeth grinding, it was nothing compared to detox off tabs. NOTHING! At least for me. Good luck!

I was prescribed adderall by a psychatrist ( which i went to for being addicted to hydracodeine). I left his office an hour later diadnosed as bipolar 1, extreme anxiety, OCD & ADHD. Whoa, i'm freaking out because I had no clue..WTH? Anyway, i was prescribed suboxone strips to help me off the hydracodeine,( happy pill)., i was given xanex for anxiety, Lamictol for Bipolar, & Riddlin, then clonapin to help me sleep at night. Holy cow, i was addicted to 4 happy pills a day, and boom, he has me on all this stuff that when i read about I was very concerned. The doses he Rx were taken for 2 days, i was so wacked i couldn't function.( the pharmacist has a strange look as i am getting them filled). My Dr's answer to every side effect was to give me another drug to try, we went to adderall,( which everytime i get it filled it is a different color or shape) all the Rx he gave me r filled with generics by the pharmacy,i am not asked. He added serequil, which i only got one dose down me and i was on one screwed up ride..he has upped and downed me with different doses and the generics are not always the same. S***, My world just started crashing down. Tonight i pick up my script for adderal and it is yet another color and shape. Hence my research tonight.. I have lost over 30 lbs, i never sleep, i am never hungry, thirsty, happy, sad or anything.. The only thing is lately i am craving sweets. I am concerned that for the last year i have been on so many drugs at different amounts and combinations that i should have just stayed on the happy pills..i don't even know if my Dr knows i am taking the generics of all of it except the suboxone, and my Dr had a free drug card for me from the drug co, well free copay. I figure out that I am now a drug addicted for real and i decided enough was enough, i started lowering my doses, cutting stuff in half and basically self medicating, just like b4. Ok, short story long, Dr retires and i go to new one who says she wont see me unless i agree to random drug testing, she will not prescribe the combo as the other dr. Did..woohoo! Well, i am off all of them except adderall and lamictol.but what do i do about this generic thing and my weight loss, and sleeping maybe 2 hours a night? I take 3 20mg a day and 100 mg of lamictal..how concerned should i be? Old dr never even had me checked out for any side effects, no drug tests or anything. My side effects worsen weekly and i have more mental issues now than i started.. HELP!' i am just a number to these dr., they rkilling me i think.. How many people need to beg a dr to take them off a drug? What do i do? If i haven't put yall asleep.

If you were prescribed to it you would know that it is adderall, just the generic, and it's the short lasting version of adderall, not the XR, hence the 4 hours.

you are right, my son has to get a prescription written for each month,or if it's time for a follow up, they will not write it until they see him,,,,and we don"t allow him to take it during the summer, and he's doing fine.....his condition is mild but it helps with school a lot.

I was not proscribed the drug,my daughter was. And like most college kids today she ran to her doctor ..said the right things and bam instant study aid...oh i got adhd..or a.d.d.... unfortunately i suffer from a back injury, ran out of pain pills, she had gotten some so i thougt i was taking pain pills but actually took 4 of those little study aids, and let me tell you..dont take 4 of them..in my opinion this is meth for yuppies. Take it to study my backside ..your all really taking it because ur out partying and it keeps u up all night ..the night before ur work is to be turned in. So if u ask me this stuff is the mis-prescribed gateway drug to meth..so get ur grades up kids...ur gonna need a job that pays alot of money ..for ur future drug habit.

Try taking it three times daily. That way it won't wear off. I take mine at 7am, 12pm, and 5pm. It works best for me three times a day because it starts to wear off about 5-6hrs after taking it. That's at least what I've experienced. Since I changed it to three times a day instead of two, I have been able to sleep better because it's not wearing off right before bed, and my mood swings have been a lot better too!

#86 Lauren, I'm not picking on you, but I am finally going to say something, as it drives me crazy over and over people say this. 20mg, I don't know what med you are taking, but it's not d amphetamine. Since you mentioned ADHD and d amphetamine I'm going out on a limb, not far because it's an easy guess. You are taking 20mg of Adderall, seams the most popular only brand name to be prescibed and the first old stand by in a generic, of Ritalin. They do not make a d/ amphetamine larger than a 10 mg IR and 15mg time release. That would be Dexadrine when SKF made it, then SK and Bechman, and now..oh geez Iforgot but it's branded as Dextrostat. If your in the USA. there is only on company that makes the generic, Dextro Amphetamine Sulfate, Barr, which is owned by an Netherlands Company, Teva. A little fact for those that want to know everything. Teva is BIG in the world. In the USA and Canada, one out of every seven generics is a Teva owned. As I said the Dexies are marked Barr, but Barr is owned by Teva. Ok, back to Adderalls, they are do have Dextro Amphetamines Sulfate in them. There are four drugs in Adderall all amphetamine based. They break down to 75% d/amphetamine, dex tro amphetamine. 25% l/amphetamine is not as likeable to the brain, as it contains more of the adverse effects we don't like of amphetamine. lisdexamfetamine dimesylate is the prodrug of dextro amphetamine that is it's VyVanse the only drug of it's type. A pro drug is it starts out as the metabolites as example of dexto amphetamine, and does not have any metabolites, as it leaves the system as it came in. This is weak on amphetamine effect on the person and was made that way to be less addicting. Because of the amphetamine make up it is a CII drug, but has an effect as phentermine, which has actions as an amphetamine, but has no make up as one, as for it's CIV. To much info!!!

#89 Yayah, they are under the most addicting classification CII. As you say, though you were done kickin, well thern you know about just getting well, and withdrawal, you are just staying well with your daily dose. When you quit, you will become depressed and lethargic for several days, and then be OK. Don't loose sleep over it and maybe slight paranoia.

Suboxone is a CLASS III drug, we are speaking of Class or Schedule II, big difference. III and IV have no difference in refill, six months, can call in refills , can call in scripts, the only exception no one has mentioned, and Doctors never do, with Schedule II drugs is they can call in one for an emergency, the Pharmacy must receive personally a hard copy of the script within 72 hours. A Pharmacist still does not have to fill it, and never have heard this happen. No reason for an emergency Schedule II, well I won't agree with that LOL
