I take Coreg CR in the morning (that is what is recommended on the insert) however, it makes me very dizzy for about three to four hours. Would it be okay to take in the evening? What is the purpose of taking this in the a.m.?

Coreg CR contains the active ingredient Carvedilol, it is most commonly used to treat congestive heart failure.

I'm guessing the reason they probably have you take it in the morning is due to the fact that it's time released, that way it lasts all day.

The dizziness can be a common side effect of these types of medications, along with: anxiety, nightmares and panic attacks.

Is there anything else I can help you with?
